The store is owned by siblings Wise and Belle, who are also Proxies alongside Tadashi.

Proxies are a secret group tasked with assisting people and hollow raiders in recovering their belongings from the hollow. Tadashi's role as a Proxy allows him to utilize his unique abilities and his small companion, Gochizo. Gochizo are snack monsters that manifest based on the number and type of snacks Tadashi consumes. Each Gochizo has distinct colors and abilities depending on the flavor of the snack.
