Normal P.O.V

"I'm not telling her, you tell her."

"No way. You're her cousin, you do it."

"And piss her off? No thank you, that is not my job."

I groaned.

"Fine. Well do it together. Deal?"

"Done."

I tried to sit up, but flopped back down in exhaustion and yelped in pain. Then I sat up, and cringed. I held my hand to my head.

"What... What happened?" I croaked. I opened my eyes, and saw Ben, and Linda. I glared at them.

"H-hey Cory. How you feeling?" Ben asked, sitting at the foot of my bed. I crossed my arms, slowly, cringing at the pain, then looked at him as if to say "I'm still mad at you two." Ben looked to Linda with a "a little help here?" Glance. Linda looked at me in the deepest look of sorrow.

"Corrine. Are you... Feeling alright?" Linda asked in a tone that made her look and sound uncertain of the question herself.

"Oh I don't know. You tell me. How would you feel if you're boyfriend tricked you into taking him back, and you were being lied to for 24 hours, then beaten to near death by a bewitched tree?" I asked with high levels of sarcasm. Linda winched. So did Ben. Yet nether said a word. "I'll answer for you. Pretty damn horrible. Crushed. Shattered. Broken. Splinched. Torn. Wrecked. And all other things along those lines." I stated, letting my voice crack ever so slightly, trying not to let my pain show through my speech. The two never faced me while I was speaking. Finally, I laid back down,  tired of potentially talking to the wall, considering Ben and Linda were being silent, as if they weren't even in the room.

"Uh. Ben and I have to go, Corrine. But we are glad you're okay, and we hope you feel better." Linda announced, breaking the silence, then grabbed Bens hand and dragged him out of the hospital wing. I groaned and screamed and cried into my pillow, until my pillow was wet with tears and I was starting to hyperventilate. I came up from my pillow and started out the window. It was a sunny day. Oh how the world kills me with Irony.

"Ms.Snaproot, don't do that, you'll hurt yourself." Announced a voice behind me. Then I was forced back in a normal position and put to sleep.
