Lily was pulled out of her sleep by the sound of someone screaming. In an instant, she was out of her bed and running toward the source. By the time she reached the room that Mila, Sarah, Ambrevina, and Glider shared, Sam was already kicking in the door.

 Mila was tangled in her sheets, and laying on the ground. Sarah was kneeling next to her, whispering to her and awkwardly patting her back. Ambrevina was making an attempt to get out of her bunk, but had somehow managed to web on of her hands to the wall. Glider just looked confused, and was still blinking sleep out of her eyes.

 "Mila, you ok?," Sam asked, his eyes full of concern.

"She's fine Sam, go back to bed," Sarah said, still sitting beside her best friend.

 "I'm fine Sam, go back to sleep," Mila said, taking a shaky breath.

 Sarah looked up at Lily and said, "It's okay, I've got her."

 Lily nodded and headed back to her room, but she couldn't go back to sleep. Mila didn't often have nightmares, but when she did, they were bad. 

 Mila's father used to have horrible nightmares. Nightmares about what hydra had done to him, what they'd made him do, he re-lived those horrible years in his sleep. Bucky used to scream in his sleep. Lily could remember one night especially that stuck out in her memory. It had been about 12:30 at night, and Lily hadn't been able to sleep. She'd been sitting up in bed reading, when she'd heard the most gut wrenching scream imaginable from Bucky's room. 

  After living at Avengers tower for 2 years, Lily had gotten used to Bucky, Vatoni, and Steve shouting out in nightmares. Bucky would sometimes cry out in his sleep, and whenever that happened, Vatoni would sprint into Bucky's room and wake him. But the particular instance that Lily remembered better than the rest, had happened about 6 months after Bucky and Vatoni had been married. Bucky had been having the worst nightmare he'd had in weeks. He'd sounded like a wounded animal, and the screaming went on for a good minute. He had been begging for someone to stop, to just let him go. Lily had burst into their room and found Vatoni trying to wake Bucky. But he'd been too deeply asleep, and had lashed out with his metal arm. It had knocked Vatoni across the room and she's slammed into a wall. 

 When Lily and Vatoni had finally managed to wake Bucky up he wouldn't speak. He'd just stared blankly at the wall, despite Vatoni's attempts to get him to speak. The most he did was mumble fragments, as though he was still begging someone. "No please....I don't want to...Don't make me...."    Lily had finally left, leaving Vatoni to deal with Bucky who still seemed to be caught up in his nightmare. Bucky had just let his head rest on Vatoni's shoulder, and Lily had left them there.

 Lily truly hoped that Mila's nightmare wouldn't occur again.
