Cassidy's POV

"Cassidy!" My 'mum' calls. I sit up in my bed, feeling groggy and tired. Ugh Mondays. How I hate this day. Most people hate Mondays because they are the first day of the week. However I hate Monday's because this day was the day I was adopted and the day that I fled from my home planet. Yep Monday's are a bad day for me. "I'm up." I yelled back angrily. I could hear my mum flinch. Good. I wasn't planning on staying here forever. In fact I was going to leave and find the others. Suddenly Max jumped onto my bed. My little dog licked my face eagerly. I giggled and ruffled his fur. "Good morning Max." I said laughing. Max was my best and only friend. He'd been with me since the first day I was born. On my planet each child had a creature called a demon given to them. Yeah I know the name makes them sound evil. But no theses creatures would give their lives to save their owners. I didn't view max as my property he was my friend. A companion. You still may be thinking, how can a dog protect an alien? Well max is not in fact a dog. He is actually a giant chimera but with only one head. Cute right?
I put max back on my floor and proceeded to pick out an outfit for school. Using my powers I pulled out a blue crop top and black skinnies. Putting them on I also got my brown satchel and put in my school books and finally my diary. No it's not a book filled with my secrets and other shit. It's my survival guide. Without this I'd be dead and killed by an Arachnia. My hands balled into fists at the thought of the disgusting aliens that killed my family. They took my world my freedom. And now the last of us. Twelve kids had to band together to destroy that foul race. Great idea guys make a bunch of inexperienced kids fight a Giants an evil super powerful race. Which bloody idiot came up with that idea? Ok I have to get ready. I'm nearly done but I hesitate. Beside my bed lies my inheritance. It's a sword. Well actually right now it's a necklace with s sword pendant . But if I take the charm off it transforms into a long glistening sword. On the blade it has my family crest etched into it. A picture of a flame with ivy covering the sides. The Firefcrsecnet family. Hesitantly I pick up the necklace and put it on. Walking down the stairs j notice my mothers left. Quickly I dash out of my house with max beside me. We both run as fast as we can to my school. Willowmore Middle school. The building is packed full of kids as I attempt to make my way to my locker whilst hiding Max. To my utter surprise I Magee or make it there without anyone noticing and I quickly took out my books and replaced them with the correct ones. Then I carefully put Max in my satchel. "Ok Max shrink." I told him and he quickly shrunk to the size of a chihuahua. That made it easy to hide him in my bag and we both went off to my first class.

Unknowns POV

I watched carefully as the young girl made her way into the school building. I made sure that I remained hidden behind and old oak tree whilst she walked away. She's define who I'm looking for. The power coming off her is so obvious that my senses could have picked it up a mile away. How on earth has she stayed hidden from the Arachnias for so long? Ugh just the thought of those vile creatures made me angry. It's been a good few years since I last saw one when I was around fourteen. And after that I took of making sure to never stay in the same place for to long. Ok i better make my move and corner her so that i can explain what's going on.

Yeah first chapter is up. I know it's pretty bad but I promise that this story will be a lot better. And who is that unknown person? Will he or she be any harm? Please feel free to like and comment.
