Six
I need to make a point.
I don't dislike nerds, I merely dislike people incorrectly labeling me as one.
----------------
In the classroom, New-boy was sitting at my desk again.
He never gives up does he?
I guess I'm not in the position to judge that, considering it has only been three days since he's asked me to tutor him.
Give it a few weeks and he'll be over it in no time.
The rest of the day was just as normal as it had always been. Class, other teenagers having highschool drama. All in a days schooling.
I could be home schooled, but I enjoyed the entertainment public school provided me with, if only New-boy would mind his own business.
------------------------
It had been three weeks, yes all of three weeks. And New-boy still hadn't relented.
If someone tells you no, then tells you no again, and again, and again, they might just mean no.
Obviously New-boy didn't understand this.
"Umm, can I have my desk?" I ask, more demanding and less polite than I was the first time he'd taken my desk.
"I don't see your name anywhere on it." he said, making a show of looking for one.
"We've been through this before," I calmly state, "THE DESK IS MINE GET OUT!" So the last part wasn't as calm, whatever.
My yelling seemed to inspire something in him, because he did get out of it.
Yay! One victory for today, now all I have to worry about is all the days after that.
"Tutor me?" he asks.
"No."
And it continued, for a very, very long time.
-----------------------
I GIVE UP!
What do you do with the most annoying person on the planet who's always annoying you?
"Fine!" I say.
"Wait," New-boy stopped his ramblings, "did you just...... agree?" he seemed disappointed, which made no sense. I shrugged it off.
"But we're not meeting at my house." I quickly state.
"Sure, whatever." agreed New-Boy. "But one question, what's your name?"
Out of all the time he'd spent annoying me, he never thought to find out my name? seriously? Well, I guess I hadn't tried to figure out his name either, so we were on even ground.
"I'll tell you mine if you tell me your name." Hey! No one said I had to be nice to the guy, and I definitely wasn't going to be.
"Fair enough," he said, "my name's Derick"
