Oh my goodness!
Remember when I said Derick must be either really rich or really stupid.
The really stupid part is probably true as well, but boy, his house was like a mansion!
I mean, I knew he drove a nice car, and hus clothes weren't like, rags or anything. But I didn't expect someone like him, to live in a place like this.
"Nice, place." I say, trying to not sound too empressed.
"Come on, admit it," he says, "You like my house."
"No I don't!" I say indignantly, turning my head to hide my embarassed blush for showing how much I liked his house.
"Oh really." he said, "So if you had a house like this you woildnt like it?" I asks.
"I never said that either!" I contradict.
"Then what did you say?" he asks.
"I said I didn't like your house. I like your parents' house."
"Actually, if you must know, this isn't my parents' house. They bought it for me." he says with a smirk.
"Oh really." I say, "And who's name is on the certificate of ownership, or whatever they're called." ha! I totally got him.
He looks at me confused, "Certificate of ownership?" he asks.
I nod.
"I don't know, I never pay attention to those things." he shruggs, as if it's nothing to make a tie out of our unspoken competition.
The more I hang out with him, the more frustrated I get.
