Chapter 14
"Now that we got that out of the way..." Luna grabbed the book out of her bag, "lets get to work."
"Wait a minute, that kinda looks like my diary." Lucy stepped foward to examine the book.
Both Luna and Cana turned to each other, "What do we do?!" Cana said, telepathically.
"I don't know think of something!"
"Me! Why do I have to think of something!"
"Because you're the one always coming up with the brilliant plans!" Luna said sarcastically, putting emphasis on the brilliant.
"Hmm, I don't know if that's a compliment or-"
"Cana! Come on!"
"Fine, fine, I got this." Cana turned back around and faced Lucy, with the biggest smile she thinks she has ever made, "this isn't your diary, it's... my diary."
"Wow you're such a genius Cana." Luna said.
"Do you want to do this?!"
"No, please continue."
"Yes it is, I know that sticker from anywhere. I placed it on my diary as soon as I left the zoo when I was five. I remember my mom giving that to me." Lucy said, reaching for the diary.
Luna put it behind her back.
"I went to the zoo too and got the same exact sticker." Cana said.
She crossed her arm, "Oh really? Which one?"
"You know, that zoo... with all those animals, and stuff." Cana laughed nervously.
"But it's the exact same book!"
"No its not."
"Yes it is."
"No its not."
"Yes it-"
"Really guys? We don't have time for this." Natsu said, yawning.
"Fine." She turned around and faced Cana, "I'm watching you. Both of you."
"Aye, aye captain." Cana saluted, earing a glare from Lucy.
"So back to where we were." Luna opened the book to the last place she read. She skimmed through the text.
"So? What do you think?" Juvia asked.
"I-I don't know." She slammed the book down on the table, "it doesn't say anything about how to stop it, it just says who and where."
"I honestly didn't think it was going to be that easy." Jellal said, "but let's start with the where."
"At least it's something." Gajeel said.
"Let me see..." She scrolled through the pages, "It's some lab in Germany."
"Does it have a name at least?"
"Umm, it doesn't say."
"Wow your mom didn't give you shit." Gajeel said, leaning on the wall.
"She told me everything is in this book. There has to be something I missed." Luna kept scrolling and scrolling, hoping to find a clue.
"If it's ok to ask..." Lucy started, "What the hell is going on?"
"You don't know?" Levy asked.
"Not a clue."
"Well I'll keep it short and simple... she's from the future, here to stop a scientist named Veena from creating a deadly weapon, as known as super soldiers, to kill all meta humans."
It was like a fuse busted inside of Lucys head, "huh?"
"Yeah its confusing, but you'll get used to it."
"O-Ok."
"There's nothing here!" Luna threw the book on her bed, "how does she expect me to stop a terrifyingly evil woman, who practically wiped out our entire race, with nothing except a stupid book with no clues."
"Well, maybe that's why she told you to gather them all together." Cana said.
Gray scoffed, "no thanks. There's no way in hell you can get me to work with these fools."
"I hate to say it, but I agree with Gray." Natsu said, making the others nod their heads in agreement.
"Come on, can you guys put your differences aside for a little bit?"
Everyone stared at each other then turned back to Luna, "no."
"Ok fine, for humanity?"
They stared back at each other, but this time a second longer. Natsu was the first to step up, "for humanity."
Gray and Gajeel walked up next, "humanity." They both groaned.
"I guess I can do it for that." Jellal shrugged.
"I guess, count me in." Levy said.
Erza sighed, "I'm doing this for the sake of the world, not you guys."
"Join the club sister." Gray whispered.
"Ooh! This seems like fun, I'll join too." Lucy stepped foward.
Luna looked at Cana, "don't worry about me kid, like I said, I'm with you until the end of the line."
Luna smiled, "Alright! This is awesome. I finally did something right."
"So since we're kinda like superheroes now, don't we get a name?" Gajeel asked.
"Typical Gajeel." Juvia asked.
"What? It's an important question." Gajeel said.
"Um, I don't know. What do you guys think?" Levy asked.
"Ooh! I got one! What about the justice League?" Lucy said.
"No, that's lame." Gray said.
"OK, what about suicide squad?" Levy asked.
"Trash." Natsu said.
As everyone was debating over names, Luna was in a deep thinking process, trying to come up with a name to satisfy the team.
"What about X men?" Jellal asked.
"I don't think so." Cana said.
"That name sounds kinda familiar..." Erza said.
A light bulb went off in Lunas head, "I got it!"
Everyone turned toward her, "What's your idea?" Lucy asked.
"What about the supers?"
"Hmm, that actually has a nice ring to it." Natsu said.
"Yeah, it's catchy." Gray said.
"The Supers it is then." Gajeel said lifting Luna up on his shoulders.
"Hmm, superheroes need a secret base too." Gajeel said.
"You're such a child." Juvia whispered.
"Hey, let me live."
"I think I have that covered." Lucy said.
"Really? You just have some super awesome secret base just laying around campus?" Gray said.
"It's not secret, but it will do."
"Ok, where is it?" Erza asked.
"It's on the other side of the campus."
Everyone groaned, but Cana had different ideas.
She rubbed her hands together, "prison break time."
