YALL BETTER FUCKING LIKE THIS COS IT TOOK ME AN ENTIRE NIGHT TO MAKE

shoutout to my boyfriend for helping me with Jackson's pov I love him so much

It's a pretty normal day at school. A brownish-blue haired kid named Jackson Wall Dunlap sits at his first bell class, being bored as hell (the usual) when the teacher declares there is a new student.
"Okay," the teacher says. "We have a new student that will be arriving shortly into this class. We will need to treat them with as much respect as we do others."

Jackson is just staring off into the nothingness of the wall, not even paying attention or hearing the entire thing being said. He looks like a zombie as boredom has taken over his entire system. As soon as the bell rings, a yellow-haired, sunflower covered, 6'5 teenager, walks into the classroom.

"Ah, hello!" the teacher exclaims, "You must be Tyson Raven Jon, right?"
"Yeah," the yellow-haired teen says. "but please, call me Twig." The teacher nodded. "Well kids, please welcome our new student!"
Jackson shakes his head, seemingly popping from boredom and directs his attention to the teacher and Twig. Most of the kids say a mixture of confused hellos and welcomes, seeming very unaccustomed to this new classmate. "Well," the teacher says, "seeing as there are not too many open seats left, you can have that last seat that's next to Jack.
Twig nods as he nervously goes to sit next to the faded blue-haired boy. Jack mumbles something inaudible to himself grumpily, then scoots away from Twig. The teacher starts to ramble on and on about how mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, blah blah blah.
Jack turns to Twig and says "Its always like this. Every. Fucking. Day.."
Twig turns his attention to Jack. "Seriously?" Twig says. "Yes. Worst part is, once the teacher starts talking, she goes on... and on... and on.."
"Wow," Twig said, "This class seemed boring to me the first few seconds I walked in here. I didn't realize it was way worse." Jackson stopped for a moment, realizing he was actually being social. He let the thought sync in and eventually relaxed again. "Yeah.." Jack said. Twig chuckled lightly and turned his attention back to the teacher. Jackson stares at the ceiling, thinking of how he just had a normal conversation. Thinking of how he didn't bash Twig with hate. The bell rings and it makes Twig jump a little. All the other students start to grab their belongings and leave the classroom. Jackson, still lost in thought, didn't notice the bell ring. Twig notices this and waves his hand in front of Jack, trying to snap him out of his thoughts. Jack, snapping back to reality, sighed and said, "Oh. It's time to leave. Well uh... bye." That was all he managed to say, before packing up his bags and scurrying out the classroom; headed to his next class.

Twig leaves the classroom and heads to his next class, confused as to what had just happened, but hums to himself nonetheless. He takes out his schedule and looks at it. The next class he goes to is Mr. Cartson's class. He looks at the room number and walks through the maze that is the school. After a tad bit of walking, he eventually gets to his destination and sits in the far corner of the classroom.

Jackson walks to his class, which happens to be Twig's as well. He arrives late because he was walking slow, still lost in thought. Mr. C doesn't really care because this is just normal for Jack to be late. Twig smiles softly in Jack's direction, happy to see that he is in the same class. Jack notices that Twig is there and slightly waves at him, picking a seat near Twig because most were already taken. Mr. C is basically the same as Mrs. Dcarthy. He can't hear anything over his lectures. Blah blah partner project blah blah two partners blah blah due in two months blah blah blah. Twig wasn't paying any attention. He just stared out the window the whole time. Jack wasn't listening either, halfway asleep at this point. The teacher kept ranting until he finally said for the kids to partner up.

Jackson jolts awake, hearing only the last bit of the lecture. "Wait... did he just say partner up?" "Yeah, I think so," Twig said. "Well you're new here and I don't have any friends. Because everyone here is fucking stupid..so....." "Same," Twig agreed. "I guess we should just partner up," Jack said. Twig nodded. The teacher barely looked like he cared about this project. He was literally staring at memes. Twig thinks for a bit and has an idea. "How about Sunflowers?" Twig asks. "Eh. Alright," Jack responds. Twig looked genuinely excited because he knows a fuck ton about flowers, especially sunflowers. Jackson cracked a small, genuine smile. "What's so exciting? I don't see anything around except for boredom," Jackson said. "Sunflowers are exciting." Twig tried to look serious, but instead looked like an angry toddler. "Whatever you say.." Jackson lied his head on his own desk, out of pure boredom and lack of sleep.

Twig opened his Chromebook, put in his password, and immediately opened google docs. He started to put paragraphs and paragraphs all about sunflowers. He barely looked anything up. He loved the yellow flowers that much. Jackson was half asleep, but still watching Twig write down all about sunflowers. Twig had finished one page. He was on to the next. "You sure do know a lot about sunflowers..," Jack said, tiredly. "Yup," Twig said. Twig stopped typing and turned around to look at Jackson. "It just seems like you have to do a bunch of research on the things that you are I guess." He started to fiddle with his fingernails.

"What do you mean..." Jackson was about to drift off into sleep, but his body just wouldn't let him. Twig pointed to the sunflowers in his hair. "These are real." He then pulled up his eyepatch on his right eye, only to reveal it being COVERED in sunflowers. "Also Real." He put his eyepatch back on. Jackson jerked awake. "HOLY SHIT...," Jack said. "Mhm." "Ive never done research into the disgusting lifeform called a "human" though... Even though I am one," Jack said. "Well I'm not." Twig looked back at his hands again. "Yeah. And that's wonderful...," Jackson said, half asleep and dozing off again. Twig wanted to turn his attention back to typing more paragraphs, so he did. Jackson went silent for a while, half asleep still. Twig took one of the sunflowers out of his hair and sat it on top of Jackson's head. The single flower morphed into a flower crown.

Jackson barely noticed what Twig did, and he looked at Twig in confusion. "What was that..." "Dunno. But it looks cute." (you smooth lil shit) He continued to type. "Yeah.." Jackson went silent again, the sound of Twig's typing making him a little sleepier. Twig felt content on how the whole thing he typed was. He saved the document and closed his Chromebook. He then proceeded to stare at the ceiling, then glance at Jack. Jackson's mouth was gaping half open, and he was snoring softly. Some kids were giggling at him, but Jackson didn't know.

Twig giggled softly, a small pink hue appearing on his face. A few minutes later the bell rang. Twig gathered his belongings and shook Jack awake. "Dude, get up," he said. Twig tried to refrain from bursting into a fit of giggles. Jack jolted awake, grabbing his bag rather quickly "H-Huh? Class over already?" "Yep," Twig said. "Also, how much sleep do you usually get?" Twig slung his bag over his shoulders. "Barely any. None sometimes," Jack answered. "Woah. Jeez dude" Twig seemed shocked at this. He didn't believe this because he gets tons of sleep everyday. "I have insomnia so.. I'm just used to it I guess," Jack said. He yawned immediately after he said this. Twig hummed as a response. "Well come on. We got lunch to go to," Twig said. "Yeah, alright. Then you lead the way." Twig walked out of the classroom and to the lunchroom. For a new student, he surely knows how to navigate around the place well.
Jackson followed close behind, still having the flower crown on which earned him a few stares. He didn't care. He sat down at a nearby table and took his lunchbox out of his bag. Jack sat next to Twig, slowly pulling out his own lunchbox. Twig ate his lunch silently. He didn't really like to talk while eating. Jackson kept almost dozing off mid-chomp, then snapping awake quickly and continuing to eat. Twig noticed this and snickered softly. "Whats so...funny...," Jack said. He eventually lied his head on the table and dozed off, snoring softly. Twig shook his head, smiling at Jack. He looked at the flower crown and the flowers started to glow. Jackson's eyes slightly opened to the glow, but shut again shortly after. A wave of yellow went over Jack. Thankfully, everyone else was minding their own business.

Jack woke up a little. "What... Did you.. Try to wake me up? Lunch over?" Twig shook his head. "No. The sunflowers on your head sent a substance that is very similar to caffeine through your veins. Just without the hyper part. It's supposed to help you stay awake." "How can you do that?," Jackson asked because he was now wide awake, looking up and down at Twig. "Eh, just some magic. It won't harm you, I promise." "I trust you." Jackson smiles a tiny smile. Twig smiled softly back.

The bell rang and Twig put his empty lunchbox in his bag. Jackson put the half sandwich that he had left back in his own lunchbox, then put it in his bag. Twig gently grabbed Jack's hand and swiftly took him to their next class. Jack didn't protest, and just allowed him. Their next class was Mr. John. He too, looked as if he didn't want to be there as much as the students didn't. Twig sat in the far corner of the classroom again. Jackson sat directly next to Twig, all the other seats were taken. "Ok, I don't really like to teach," Mr. John said. "So just do whatever the heck you want." Twig wasn't exactly surprised. Mr. J just layed his head down and slept as if he couldn't hear the entire class. Jackson turned to Twig. "He never feels like teaching," Jack said. "I sort of figured." Most of the class either worked on their other schoolwork, or chatted amongst themselves. Jackson looked around for a minute, and sighed. Twig glanced at Jack. "I'm really.. Fucking.. Bored," Jack said. "Same here. What do we even do? I already finished the project we had, so there is no use in doing schoolwork," Twig noted. "I don't know. You're my only.... Errr... acquaintance in the whole school," Jack said. "You are the only friend I have ever had. Ever." Twig said. "Really?" Jack asked. "Yeah. The kids at the other schools I have gone to thought I was very weird," Twig said. "Well. You are not weird to me. Even if you were... I wouldn't mind to be honest," Jackson noted. "Wait, really?" Twig asked. "Yeah.." Twig looked away, small tints of red forming on his face. Jackson looked a little confused, watching Twig. Twig stayed silent. "What's wrong?" Jackson asked.  "N-Nothing. " Twig answered, still facing the wall he was closest to. "Did I do something wrong?" Jackson asked. "No it's just-"  He turned to face Jack. "Nobody outside of my family has really told me that before.." Twig answered.

"Really? Well... I was the first I guess." Jackson started to scream at himself inside his head on how he was being so nice to Twig. He's never this nice to anyone. Twig hummed to himself, face still bright red. Jackson finally snapped out of his thoughts, and stared Twig up and down for a moment. "Are you... Blushing?" Twig covered his face with his hands, becoming even more embarrassed. He wasn't exactly tolerant to compliments, or peer pressure to be exact. Jackson noticed this and placed his hand on Twig's back, in an attempt to calm Twig down. Twig jolted at this, but sighed in relief at the comforting gesture. Jack smiled a little, a warm comforting smile. Twig removed his hands from his face and smiled softly back at Jack. "Sorry... I suppose I screwed up a little.." Jack said. "Nah. It's just my dumb self catching these dumb feelings," Twig said. Jackson looked confused for a moment, wondering why the hell Twig would say that. No one liked Jackson, not even as a friend. Jackson was completely fine with that though.

Twig stayed completely silent for a few seconds, staring off into space. After a while of silence, Jack spoke up "That's fine." Twig smiled as a response. "Ya know.... I'm never.. THIS nice to people," Jack said. "That's hard to believe." Twig said. "Well it's true..," Jack retorted. "How would you normally treat people?" Twig asked. "Eh. I would bash them, normally not even talk to them. Unless I was forced to," Jack answered. "Still hard to believe even if it's true.  You're a really nice guy y'know," Twig said. "Really?" Jack asked. "Yeah," Twig answered. "Too nice." "Hey! I'm not too nice..," Jack exclaimed. "Yes you are! You are the nicest person I have ever met!" Twig exclaimed. Jackson's face turned slightly pink and he immediately turned away. Twig burst into a fit of giggles. Jack covered his face, turning even more pink. Twig's giggling had died down. "You ok?" "Y-Yeah, yeah.. I'm ok... Just.. A little embarrassed I suppose," Jack said. Twig pat him on the back. "I guess we both got a bad case of feelings, huh," Twig said. "Heh. Yeah.." Twig rubbed his back, doing the same thing Jack did to calm him down. "Thank you..," Jack said. Twig smiled. "No problem."

Jackson smiled as well, face still a little pink. Twig stared at Jack's eyes, finding himself lost. Jack tilted his head at Twig. Twig was silent, still staring as if in a trance. "Twig?," Jack said. Twig snapped out of it and turned his attention to Jack. "Hm?" Jackson looked around a little. "N-Nothing..." He clearly wanted to say something, but was unprepared. Twig hummed as a response. The bell rang. Jackson quickly grabbed his bag "You ready for the next class?," he said. Twig slung his bag onto his back. "Yep!" Twig answered. Twig stood up and reached a hand out to Jack to help him out of his seat. Jack took his hand and stood up, smiling at Twig's kind gesture. Twig smiled back as he walked with Jack to their last class for the day. Jackson's eyes started to all of a sudden cloud with worry about going home. He didn't want to go home. Twig noticed this. "Hey, are you ok?" he said this with a small mix of concern and worry. "I just... don't want to go home," Jack said. "Why don't you?" Twig asked. "I don't know.. I just don't want to leave you to be honest..." Jack said. Twig stood thinking for a few seconds. Idea: Obtained.

"I know! You can have a sleepover at my house!" Twig exclaimed. "Really?! That would be great!" Jack also exclaimed. "Yeah! I also have a treehouse in my backyard!" Jackson smiled widely at Twig. Twig basically looked like a toddler that tried ice cream for the first time. "We can put blankets there and everything!" Jackson's smile widened, thinking Twig's ideas were adorable. Twig grabbed Jack's hand. "But let's finish this last boring class," Twig added. "Oops. Forgot about that. Yeah, let's finish it," Jack agreed. Twig basically just swiftly dragged Jack to their last class. Once he got there he sat in the seat he would normally sit in. Jackson sat right next to him, avoiding all the other kids. Twig still had that stupid smile on his face. He was very excited to leave. Jackson looked over at Twig and giggled a tad. Twig also giggled. As always, the teacher didn't feel like teaching and let the kids do whatever. Jackson took out a notebook and started writing down some thoughts, to keep him from becoming bored. "I think this school should be renamed to Depression Elementary," Twig said. "I know right?" Jackson agreed. "At least Mr. C actually tried." Twig stated. "True." "I think all of these teachers are too lazy to grade anything, so they don't really assign anything," Twig said. "They don't care probably because they know they won't get fired. So they make money by doing nothing.." Jack stated. "Mhm." Twig glanced at Jack's notebook. "Whatcha' doing?" "Just writing down some of my thoughts," Jack said. Twig hummed as a response. "May I see what you wrote down?" "Eh. Sure." Jackson passed the notebook over to Twig. Twig looked at it, giggled softly, then gave it back. Jackson wrote more thoughts down, whether they were goofy, sad, or just him being grumpy. Twig scooted his desk closer to Jack's. Jackson looked at Twig "My life isn't that interesting.." "Well, to me it is." Twig stated. Jackson chuckled in response and continued writing. Twig smiled and laid his head on Jack's shoulder. Jackson's face turned a little pink. Twig unknowingly falls asleep on him. Jackson's face turned even more pink. Twig snored softly. Jackson looks around the class, to see if anyone was watching and surely enough, everyone was watching. Some were giggling, which caused Jackson to get embarrassed. Twig, however, continued to doze off. The kids start yelling "SHIP" over and over like it's a chant. That made Twig jolt awake. The kids go quiet and burst into a fit of giggles, leaving Jackson a blushing mess. Twig stated at the kids concernedly. The teacher barely cared, as he was asleep. "I-I uh.." Jack stuttered. "Yeah" Jack turned to Twig. Twig looked up at Jack, a look of confusion on his face. Jack whimpered a little, almost like he was about to cry.

The bell suddenly rang, jolting him up. Twig stood up and enveloped Jack into a hug, rubbing circles into his back so he didn't actually cry. Jack hugged back very slowly, closing his eyes. "Hey, it's ok. What they say or do doesn't matter. And it shouldn't." Twig continued to rub Jack's back. "I-I know... But..." Jack began to cry. "H-How are you so wonderful... When I'm not?"

"Hey,"
Twig grabbed Jack's shoulders and looked him in the eyes.
"You are very wonderful. The most wonderful person I have EVER met. Don't let others tell you differently because you are you, and that's probably more wonderful than me combined."
Twig wiped away Jack's tears with his sleeve. Jack hugged Twig tighter "Th-Thank you... No one has ever said something that nice to me." Twig hugged him back. "By the way, it's time to go home." Jack said, not crying anymore. Twig's seriousness turned to giddy happiness as he remembered that Jack was going over to his treehouse for a sleepover. Twig giggled and held onto one of Jack's hands, guiding him through the crowded halls, and leading him out of the school. Jack's face went from pure sadness to joy as soon as Twig grabbed his hand. As soon as they were walking on the sidewalk Jackson said: "So what do you have planned for us to do?" "I really have no idea," Twig said. "Well, I do have a TV up in my treehouse." "Well, I'll be happy to do whatever you want," Jack said. Twig smiled. "Aren't I supposed to treat the guest to what they want to do though?" "Nah. I really don't care. What I want to do, is to do whatever you want to do." Twig smiled brightly at this. Jackson smiled back.

Twig turned in front of a pastel yellow house. Jackson stared the house up and down "Damn, your family must really like the color yellow." "Eh, it runs in the family," Twig replied. He went up and knocked on the door, Jackson following swiftly behind. A woman's voice yelled from inside. "It's unlocked!" Twig opened the door and let Jack go in first. Jack walked in, looking around the house. After a while of looking, his gaze was fixed on the woman. "Hi." As Twig walked in and shut the door behind him, the woman walked up to the two. "Hello sweetie!" she said to Twig. "Hi, Mom." Twig said back. "Who's this?" she asked, gesturing to Jack. "He's my new friend, Jack!" Twig said, happily. Jack waved at Twig's mom. "Aww, look at my little son finally making some new friends!" She baby talked as she pinched Twig's cheek. "Mooom stoop," Twig fussed. Jack giggled a little at Twig. "Well, I will leave you two to wander on your own." "We will be in the treehouse." Twig stated. "Alright honey, just call me if you need anything!" With that, she walked off into the house.

Twig rubbed his face where his mom pinched him. "Owie." Jackson turned his attention to Twig and giggled "You'll live," Jack stayed. Twig glanced at Jack. "I know." Twig took Jack's hand and led him to where the treehouse was. The treehouse was painted yellow with a few windows and a ladder connected next to a trapdoor on the bottom of the house. "I sometimes use it as a place to think," Twig said. "I've never seen one, to be honest. It's really cool," Jack stated. "Thanks! Me and my mom helped to make it." Jackson let Twig climb up the ladder first, then he started climbing once Twig was up. Once Twig got to the top, he pushed up on the trapdoor and climbed into the house. He reached out both of his hands so Jack could hoist himself up. Jack held onto his hands and pulled himself up.

The inside of the treehouse made it look like it was larger on the inside rather than the outside. There were colored lights hanging from the ceiling, carpeting on the ground, and a small couch and a tv. "It's not much, but it's a treehouse" Twig stated. "What do you mean it's not much?! It looks awesome!" Jack exclaimed. Twig smiled at that and shut the trapdoor so that bugs wouldn't get in. Jackson seemed to really like the treehouse. He went over to the couch and sat down. Twig also sat on the couch. He handed the remote to Jack. "What do you want to watch?" Twig asked. "Hmm... I don't know really.." Jackson answered. Twig thought about it but had the same answer every time. "I don't know either." "Well, what do you normally watch?" Jackson asked. "The Nature Show?" Twig answered. "Sure. Uhh.. What channel is that?" "It's channel 253," Twig said. Jack pressed in the numbers on the remote, and set the remote down. Twig rested his head onto Jack's shoulder out of force of habit. Jack looked over at Twig and softly smiled. Twig glanced at Jack and smiled back, but it was short-lived because he turned his attention back to the TV. Jackson watched the tv, but didn't really pay attention. He was too busy admiring his surroundings.
Twig stayed silent as the narrator was going on and on about sunflowers (How ironic). Jackson looked at the tv, now paying full attention to the sunflowers on screen.

"Perennial sunflower species are not as common in garden use due to their tendency to spread rapidly and become invasive. The whorled sunflower, Helianthus verticillatus, was listed as an endangered species in 2014 when the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service issued a final rule protecting it under the Endangered Species Act. The primary threats are industrial forestry and pine plantations in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. They grow to 6 ft and are primarily found in woodlands, adjacent to creeks and moist, prairie-like areas."

Jackson looked at Twig, then back to the tv. "Twig..." he said. "Hm?" "How long do sunflowers usually live..." Jackson looked concerned, and a little sad. "Normal sunflowers last from six to twelve days." He answered. Jackson started to panic. "D-Dont worry though!" Twig said. "Wh-Why.." "There was a genetic mutation that happened with my species so we can live as long as humans, if not longer!" Twig was panicking. He hated to see Jack sad. Jackson sighed, a sigh of relief. "Ok. Good, good." Twig sighed as well. Jackson turned his attention back to the TV and Twig did the same. Jackson looked around, and only payed attention whenever sunflowers were mentioned.

"Sunflowers originate in the Americas. They were first domesticated in what is now Mexico and the Southern United States. Native American people grew sunflowers as a crop from Mexico to Southern Canada. In the 16th century the first crop breeds were brought from America to Europe by explorers."

Jackson started to wonder how Twig's species was created.

"Sunflowers are usually tall annual or perennial plants that in some species can grow to a height of 300 cm (120 in) or more. They bear one or more wide, terminal capitula (flower heads), with bright yellow ray florets at the outside and yellow or maroon (also known as a brown/red) disc florets inside. Several ornamental cultivars of H. annuus have red-colored ray florets; all of them stem from a single original mutant. During growth, sunflowers tilt during the day to face the sun but stop once they begin blooming. This tracking of the sun in young sunflower heads is called heliotropism. By the time they are mature, sunflowers generally face east. The movement of sunflowers through heliotropism happens as the sunflower follows the sun, the opposite side of the sunflower stem begins to accumulate growth hormones and this causes growth which redirects the sunflower. The rough and hairy stem is branched in the upper part in wild plants but is usually unbranched in domesticated cultivars. The petiolate leaves are dentate and often sticky. The lower leaves are opposite, ovate, or often heart-shaped. They are distinguished technically by the fact that the ray florets (when present) are sterile, and by the presence on the disk flowers of a pappus that is of two awn-like scales that are caducous (that is, easily detached and falling at maturity). Some species also have additional shorter scales in the pappus, and one species lacks a pappus entirely. Another technical feature that distinguishes the genus more reliably, but requires a microscope to see, is the presence of a prominent, multicellular appendage at the apex of the style. Further, the florets of a sunflower are arranged in a natural spiral. Variability is seen among the perennial species that make up the bulk of those in the genus. Some have most or all of the large leaves in a rosette at the base of the plant and produce a flowering stem that has leaves that are reduced in size. Most of the perennials have disk flowers that are entirely yellow, but a few have disk flowers with reddish lobes. One species, H. radula, lacks ray flowers altogether."

"Twig. How was your species made?" Jack asked. "To be honest, I have no idea. The only thing I know about how my species were made is just an old folk tale." "What is it?" Jack asked.

Twig cleared his throat.

"There was once a man and a woman who loved each other very dearly. To express their love for each other they would plant a bunch of sunflowers in their gardens instead of normal crops. When the time was right, they would pick the seeds from the dead ones and sell the ones that looked the nicest and reuse the ones that didn't. They then devoted their entire lives to the color yellow. They thought it was the most holy color of them all. But, when it was their time, they didn't get cremated, or buried, but they layed themselves down onto the sunflowers. The sunflowers covered their entire bodies. A few years later the sunflowers uncovered the bodies to show two newborn baby twins. Someone noticed this and adopted them  as their own children. I think my species's name is called Helianthannthus. We look like normal humans but we aren't. Rarely any of us have unusual changes. I am one of the rare ones to have an unusual change to me. It's not a bad change though."

Jackson looked very intrigued by this. "What genetic change is it then?" "Eh, I just have wings that look like angel wings." Twig said. "Really?!" "Mhm" "That's awesome!" "It's awesome in a way." "To me, it's awesome in all ways"
Twig smiled at this. "Heh." Jack said. Twig lifted the back of his sweater up to reveal a pair of white, grey, and pink wings are shown. Jackson looked at them, and slowly reached out to touch them. He was fascinated. Twig spread his wings so that they were 2x the size of the couch. "Woah..." Jack said. "They are both a blessing and a curse." Twig stated. "How so?" "It's very easy to knock over stuff, yet I can fly." Jackson gets knocked down by one of his wings "Yeah, I see what you mean." Twig snickers and folds his wings back. Jackson laughs a little. Twig puts his sweater down to cover his wings. "You're the most fascinating being on this earth.." Jack states. Twig glanced at Jack, his face a tint of red. "Heh.." Twig covers his face with his hands, very embarrassed by what Jack said. He mutters out a tiny "You too." Jack hears him and his face goes pink. Twig uncovers his face and glances at Jack. Jack looks over at Twig.

The power from the tv cut off, leaving only the sound of static flowing through the treehouse. Twig jolts at the sound and turns the tv off. "Why did the TV turn off?" Jackson asks. "It does that all the time. It might be a bit windy outside or something." "Oh. Alright." Twig went silent. Jackson looks around the tree house. Jackson then turns his attention to Twig. "Why so silent?" Jack asks. "I-I dunno," Twig says. "Oh. Well ok." Twig took his eyepatch off. He didn't want it on. Jackson looks at his eyes and admires them for a good 30 seconds. Twig glances at Jack. "Sorry... Kinda got lost." "It's alright. Happens to me all the time" Jackson was still looking at Twigs eyes. Twig stared at Jack's eyes. "S-Sorry!!" Jack looked away suddenly. "It's really ok!" Twig reassured Jack. "I know...but....I shouldn't just stare." "You're allowed to stare." "Really? You sure?" "Y-Yeah." Jack turned back to Twig, and stared into his eyes easily getting lost and Twig did the same to his eyes, becoming equally as lost. Both Jack and Twig's blinking slowed down a little. Jack stayed like this for a good five minutes before looking away, face red. Twig looked up at the ceiling, face very red. "S-So..." "Hm?" "U-Uh..." Twig confusedly glanced at Jack. *Jack took a deep inhale, and gave Twig an EXTREMELY quick peck on his cheek "S-S-Sorry!!!" Jack exclaimed. Twig sat there, face a deep crimson red, as he tried to process what just happened. A tear fell from Jack's eye, he was afraid of what Twig would say.

"C-C-Can Yo-u D-Do Th-ThaT agaiN?.."

Twig nervously wiped Jack's tear with his sleeve. Jack's face turned an intense red "Y-Yeah!" Twig smiled brightly at this. Jack leaned in and kissed Twig's cheek lightly. "..Nn"  Jack smiled at Twig "Heh." Twig smiled back, but then he grabbed both sides of Jack's face and kissed him on the lips. Jack's face went DEEP red, and saw himself kissing back. "...Nnh." After a minute, they both pulled away. Twig stared at Jack. Jack looked at Twig "I-I..." "Holy shit that felt good-"  Twig managed to say. "Y-Yeah. It did.." Jack said. Twig glanced back up at Jack, a bit of drool running out of his mouth ah he did so. Jack just tilted his head to the side like a confused animal. Twig snickered at Jack's movement. Jack smiled. Twig smiled back. "You're cute." Twig said. "I am?..." Jack said. "Yes! With those beautiful mocha brown eyes and blue faded hair; God yes you are!" Twig exclaimed. Jack blushed intensely and covered his face with his sleeve. Twig giggled at this. "What's so funny?" Jack said. "Oh nothing." Twig was now smiling like an idiot. "Mhm.." Twig's giggling died down and he was just staring at Jack's eyes again, and Jack stared right back. Jack was still a blushing mess also. "You look like a tomato." "Y-Yeah?" "Yeah." Twig smiled softly. Jack smiled back, still and yet blushing. "Oh my god, how can a person be this fricking cute and fricking hot at the same time. Makes no sense."

"I-I'm hot? And cute?" Twig made a 'did I stutter' look. Jack buried his face in his hands, very embarrassed. Twig giggled again. Jack was smiling, despite his embarrassment. He looked up at Twig and playfully punched his arm. Twig's giggling didn't cease. "Alright, now, Twig. You can stop giggling!" Twig's giggling ceased. "Alright" Jack would smile at Twig. "Heh." Twig smiled back. "God we're so cheesy." "Hey! We aren't cheesy!" "We are too!" ".... Ok maybe just a little" "Yeah." Twig fell silent. Jack fell silent as well and started playing with his fingernails. Twig started playing with Jack's hair. Jack continued playing with his fingernails/fingers, fiddling with them. Twig was trying to style Jack's hair to look like his own, but it just fell back to the matted mess if usually was. Jack noticed Twig, being careful not to move his head too much "You know it's usually a mess. You'll probably need a brush" Twig just sat there, pouting like a child. Jack giggled at this. Twig continued to pout. "Well, I can go get a brush if you'd like," Jack said. "Nah. It's good." "Oh. Ok!" Twig smiled at him and Jack smiled back. Twig tapped Jack's nose. "What was that for?" Twig shrugged. "I dunno." Jack tapped Twig's nose in return, giggling. Twig's face immediately went red. Jack giggled at that, then buried his head into Twig's chest. Twig just sat there, his face still a very dark red. Jack would look up at Twig. "Aw, look who's blushing now!" "O-Oh hush." Jack shook his head as "no". Twig just stared at Jack. Jack glanced at Twig confusedly. Twig just continued to stare. "What is it, Twig?" Twig snapped back to reality. "Oh, hm?" "Why were you just- staring at me?" "I was admiring you." Jack's face turned tomato red. Twig just smiled his normal, innocent smile. "For a person obsessed with blue, you sure are red. "Y-Yeah.." Twig was still smiling. Jack was smiling as well, but it was kinda shakey. Twig noticed this. "You ok?" "Yeah, just embarrassed." "Ah, okay then."  Jack buried his face back into Twig's chest. Twos started to run his fingers through Jack's hair. Jack snuggled up to Twig and Twig snuggled back. Jack was hugging Twig's waist as well. Twig continued to pet Jack, but more tiredly this time. Eventually, Twig fell asleep. He spread his wings over Jack so he wouldn't get cold anytime soon. Jack began to fall asleep slowly, which is surprising considering he's an insomniac. They both fell asleep, dreaming away.
