Angelina was stood on the steps of the church with her bouquet in her hands, breathing in and out slowly to try and calm her nerves.

"Lina," Lorenzo smiled at his little sister, putting both his hands on her shoulders, "Calm down. Everything is going to be perfect."

Angelina cracked a small yet anxious smile. She had spent months planning today and she had lost many nights of sleep worrying about it. All she wanted was for everything to run smoothly and to enjoy the day as much as she could.

The entrance to the church was lined with white roses with vines of ivy twisted through them. Angelina's dress was handmade from scratch by Agnes and Ada, who had spent hours with her designing her dream gown. It was a slender white satin dress with a plunge neckline and a three metre train with delicate beading around the chest. Angelina almost couldn't believe her eyes when she tried it on that morning, she rarely felt beautiful but when she saw herself, she knew she looked a million dollars.

Her hair was curled and pulled back into a bun, two strands framed her face at the front. Her eyes were stained with a silver glitter and her lips were a blush pink. It was the most makeup she had ever worn, but Charlotte had persuaded her to let her work her magic and have free reign over her face for the wedding.

Although Angelina had already experienced her wedding day, she felt different this time around. Her wedding with Clara's father had been warm and inviting, authentically Italian and homely. Though that day, on her second time around, she felt different. The sky was a bright blue that day, a rarity in Birmingham, and the sun was shining bright in the midday peak.

Angelina felt scared. Her previous marriage was easy, the family she joined loved her. They had the same cultural background and the same values, everybody was on the same page and Angelina felt at ease becoming a part of them. Though now, she wasn't joining another traditional Italian family. She was joining The Shelby family.

She glanced down at her right hand, the sun reflecting off the diamond on her engagement ring that was now sat on her other hand, making way for a new ring. She smiled, thinking back to the day Thomas gave it to her.

"Angelina! I need your help with the bags, darling!"

Thomas had been away for just under a week. He had been down in London, that's all Angelina knew. Thomas had told her that he would be more than one hundred percent honest with her about anything and everything in his life, but she still chose to not ask questions unless she felt like she needed to.

"It's pouring down Tommy, just run!" She shouted back as she stood in the doorway of their home, watching him pull suitcases from the car onto the gravel driveway.

"Come on sweetheart, give me a hand!"

Angelina rolled her eyes and made a quick run through the rain to Thomas. He grinned as she reached him, instinctively grabbing her and lifting her into the air, kissing her neck as he squeezed her tightly.

"I missed you so much." He said.

"I missed you too," Angelina replied with a smile, "Now come on, we're getting soaked."

She laughed and brushed her hair from her face as the rain continued to fall.

"Dance with me." Thomas said.

"What?"

"Dance with me, come on."

Angelina just laughed, smiling up at him as he took her hand and held her waist, the two of them swaying together underneath the grey sky with the sound of rain hitting the stones beneath their feet.

Thomas gazed at Angelina. He had missed her dearly when he had been away, struggling to sleep and not being able to go a second without thinking about her. He was totally besotted by her, feeling complete as soon as he was in her presence again.

"Close your eyes."

Angelina furrowed her brows at Thomas' request, to which he just rolled his eyes.

"Do it!"

Angelina chuckled and shook her head, letting go of Thomas and closing her eyes, the rain washing over her skin and her clothes.

Thomas let out a quiet breath and nodded to himself. Reaching into the pocket of his coat, he pulled out a small velvet box. He lowered himself onto one knee and looked up at Angelina as she stood with an innocent smile on her face. He couldn't quite believe how beautiful she looked, even if she was soaked to the bone.

"You can open them now."

Her jaw dropped, just as he expected it would. Her eyes were wide and her lips soon turned into a huge smile, her hands covering her mouth as she struggled for words.

"Angelina Santoro, will you marry me?"

"Of course!" She choked, wiping the tears and rain from her face, "Of course I'll marry you, Thomas."

Angelina couldn't remember a day that she had been as happy as the day she and Thomas got engaged. She hoped that today would reclaim the top spot in her memories.

"Are you ready?" Lorenzo asked.

"I'm ready."

Angelina linked her arm through her brother's and the two of them began to slow walk into the church. She heard the music begin to play and all the guests inside rise to their feet at her arrival.

She was shaking like a leaf, keeping her eyes fixed on Thomas who was stood at the altar with a small smile on his face and a white rose tucked into the pocket of his blazer.

She could feel everybody's eyes on her, though she didn't dare look away from Tommy. Angelina didn't think he'd cry, but she saw him wipe away a single tear from his eye so quickly that she didn't think anybody else saw.

Lorenzo and Angelina stopped once they reached the altar. He took the bouquet from her and gave her a hug.

"I'm so proud of you, Lina. I love you so much."

Angelina couldn't bring herself to respond for fear of crying. Instead, she gave him a smile to let him know her thanks. Lorenzo kissed her cheek and turned to shake Thomas' hand before taking his seat with the other guests.

Thomas stood with his hands clasped in front of him. He looked placid and content, but inside he felt sick with nerves. He had been to a million and one weddings in his lifetime, but never had he been the one stood at the altar.

As he saw his bride walking down the aisle towards him, he felt the breath get knocked from his chest. Angelina was beautiful, he knew that, but seeing her in a stunning white dress looking up at him with those eyes made him feel something he'd never felt before.

He had fallen in love with her all over again, and he knew he would continue to do so for the rest of his life. Angelina made him feel whole, feel complete. She had entered his life and made him realise that until her, he had always been missing something. She was infectious, her laugh and her smile, the way she walked and the way she spoke, the way she handled herself and took care of others, everything about her made Thomas realise that she was the woman he wanted, as well as the woman he needed to be the best version of himself.

The ceremony began and Thomas was sweating as he held Angelina's hands in her own. She gave them a gentle squeeze and smiled up at him, settling his heartbeat as he knew she was comforting him.

Angelina took a deep breathe when it was time to say her vows to Thomas. Still holding onto his hands, she looked up at him as he gave her a reassuring smile, a surge of love pulsed through her veins as they locked eyes.

"I thought that I knew what love was before I came to England. I thought I knew what it felt like, how it looked in somebody's eyes, how it felt when they touched you or the way you'd feel at peace around them. I thought I'd experienced it all, I really thought that I knew. But meeting you, Thomas, changed everything. I realised that I never really did know what love was. I had never felt the things you make me feel, never had somebody look at me the way you do. And I've realised that perhaps being in love doesn't always mean you are calm, being in love with you is like a whirlwind. It's exciting and heart-racing, I wake up every day knowing that it's going to be an adventure with you, but no matter what, I still feel safe and protected. I now know what it's like to be in love, and to be in love with you, Thomas Shelby, is the biggest blessing anybody could ever have."

Thomas was doing his best to hold down the lump in his throat. He had been gripping her hands through the whole speech, feeling them shake as she spoke to him as if it was only the two of them in the room. She had amazed him, again.

He cleared his throat when the vicar told him it was his turn to say his vows. Tommy had spent days trying to somehow sum up the way Angelina made him feel into one small speech. It was near impossible, but with the help of his brothers, he'd managed to do it justice.

He pulled out a slip of paper from his pocket to read from, worried he wouldn't be able to remember it all. He unfolded it and looked at Angelina once more before looking down at his speech.

"Angelina, you have changed my life in ways that I didn't even know was possible. Anyone who knows me knows that I've always been a man of very few words. Some might say cold hearted, ruthless, emotionless, and before I met Angelina, you'd all have been right. But now, I see the world differently. I see myself differently, and I feel in my heart that I have been opened up to the world in a new way. I've always found it hard to open up and let people in, I suppose I was just protecting myself. Angelina's shown me that it's okay to be vulnerable, and not everyone in the world is out to hurt you. You've shown me that I can let people in, that I can have emotions and that I am capable of loving someone. I feel like the luckiest man on the planet that you'd give me the chance to love you the way that I do. I'm forever grateful for what you've shown me and what you've taught me. Every day with you is a lesson and it's a blessing that we get to learn something new about the world together for the rest of our lives. There is nobody else in the world that could ever make me feel even close to the way you make me feel. I also never knew what love was until you walked into my life, and I thank God every day that he sent you to show me what I'd been missing out on. Without you, I wouldn't be half the man I am today. You complete me, Angelina."

Angelina smiled up at Thomas with her eyes glazed over with tears. She blinked, letting a few fall down her cheeks unwillingly. Tommy never failed to amaze her. Whenever he chose to pour his heart out to her, it always left her wondering how she ever got through the day without him.

The vicar officiated the marriage and the two of them exchanged their rings before he gave Thomas to go ahead to kiss his bride.

Tommy looked down at his wife, placing a hand on her cheek and the other on her waist. He leant in and closed his eyes, feeling the touch of her hands on his skin as they shared their first kiss as man and wife.

"Ladies and gentleman," the vicar turned to face the guests who sat smiling, some even crying as they watched, "I present to you, Mr and Mrs Shelby."

Thomas and Angelina turned to their friends and family, hand in hand with smiles on their faces. Angelina looked down and saw Lorenzo sat with his wife and their daughter, and then looked over to see Max and Clara sat beside Polly. John, Arthur and Ada were all stood on their feet with their families, applauding with enthusiasm and happiness.

Angelina's worry had drained from her body without her even noticing. She felt at peace, yet as she felt Thomas squeeze her hand and she looked around at the faces of her friends and family, she felt excited. This was her home, and this was her life.

"We did it, you're officially a Shelby." Thomas shouted to Angelina over the chatter of the guests, the strongest essence of love burned in his eyes as he looked at her.

Angelina smiled at her husband, not being able to help herself as she grabbed his face and pulled him down so his lips met hers.

They looked at each other, their faces inches away from one another as Thomas clung onto her waist and her arms draped around his neck. Both of them were in disbelief, the feeling of euphoria didn't even come close to how they felt at that exact moment.

"I see the sun rise every time I look into your eyes, Angelina. And now," he took her left hand and kissed the ring that sat on her finger, "I know that with you by my side, the sun will always rise again in the morning."
