As this story is set during the 1970s, it features a few outdated terms and derogatory words that would now be considered horrible but back then was just a normal thing.

I am not a trans* woman so I do not know what it is like to be one but I hope that I have done a good job in portraying Ellis.

As you may notice, Ellis' pronouns shift quite a bit (from he to they, back to he and then to she) and this is because I wanted to show Ellis' view of herself and her gender.
