Third person POV

"Hello Edward, you sure have grown." Ed started to turn around as Hohenheim continued. "I spoke with Pinako, I know you tried human transmutation." Edward visibly stiffened, Kristy just stood there shocked as to who this man could be.

"What makes you think you can just show up like this? There's nothing left for you anymore!"

"I noticed." Hohenheim calmly replied. "Tell me Edward, what possessed you to burn down my home?"

"After what happened, we did it as a symbol of our resolve-"

"No you didn't. You were hiding from the memory. You didn't want to be reminded of what you'd done and thought you could hide it like a child hides the sheets after he wets the bed." Hohenheim walked closer to Ed.

"Your wrong!" He shouted.

"You ran away and you know it." Kristy started to look between the two, feeling the tension in the air, she knew she had to do something.

She walked in between the two. "Please stop." She said calmly.

"And who's this?" Hohenheim replied looking towards the girl and back at Ed.

"I'm Kristina Ross, might I ask who you are?" She tilted her head slightly, but Hohenheim gasped as he noticed both her eyes, and the way she was not looking directly at him.

"Your blind, don't tell me you did it to." He muttered under his breath, but Kristy still heard it unlike Ed. "I am Van Hohenheim, Edwards father."

Kristy flinched slightly. "I see." She turned to Ed who was still fuming. "Come on Ed." She said as she grabbed his hand and started to walk off.

Time skip Kristys POV

I walked towards the lounge and sat down, it had been nice seeing Pinako again, I suddenly heard someone come up behind me. I turned to look up at them.

"Hello again, I'm sorry to ask but did you say that your last name was Ross?" I recognised the voice as Hohenheim's, I looked at him curiously wondering what interest he has in my last name.

"Yes?" I looked at him, urging him to continue.

"As in the child of Leah and Isaac Ross?" I gasped slightly at the mention of my parents names.

"Yes, how do you know them?"

"I worked with them at one point in time, I apologise for your loss." He walked away. Well that was odd.

Time skip

I woke up slightly from someone walking around in the room, he continued to pace, but the reason was not known to me.

"Ed, what's wrong?" He turned to me.

"Sorry, did I wake you?"

"Probably not." I smiled at him. "But seriously, what's wrong?"

"I-"

"Edward get down here and say goodbye to your father, he's leaving." We both looked at each other, he was going to tell me sooner or later.

"I need your help." He looked at me sadly

"Okay."

I looked up at the sky but closed my eyes, I could feel the dampness in the air and even a few small droplets of water. "Ed are you sure it's a good idea to do this now?" I looked at him as he grabbed a shovel in his hand and prepared to dig.

"Yes." He said as he plunged the metal into the ground, I sighed and grabbed the other one before walking beside him and mimicking his movements.

"Your not really gonna dig it up are you Ed?" Pinako gave him a worried look as he clutched his shoulder in pain.

"My stunts are aching like crazy, it's about to rain. But I have to. I need to know. Let's just hurry up and finish this." As soon as he finished that sentence I felt a wave of nausea come over me and I fell to my hands a knees before throwing up. "Kristy are you okay." I could the worry in Eds voice.

"Ed, let's just go look at Kristy, soon enough you'll be following her."

"No." I said as I stood up. "I want to help, and I need to have my own answers."

"and I won't be able to move forward until I know. Besides, I won't run away." I gave a nod in agreement as we both continued to dig stopping occasionally to empty out our stomachs.

I suddenly felt my shovel hit something that was harder than the ground. "Ed I have something." He came over and began dogging where I was previously before kneeling down and moving the last pieces of dirt with his hands. He picked something up but it was too small for me to tell what it was, suddenly he gasped. "What is it?" He didn't answer. "Ed?"

"Granny, mums hair was a chestnut brown, this is black." I could feel the sadness in his voice.

Pinako knelt to the hole and began examining the contents. She sighed as she got up. "It's much to long." She muttered to herself. "I am sure this is a male pelvis, Ed, I'm sorry, this wasn't you mother." At those words I wasn't sure whether to feel happiness or despair, that ment that he hadn't killed his mother a second time, that meant I might not have done the same to my siblings. But that also meant we have up all we did for nothing.

Suddenly Ed fell to the ground laughing. "E-Ed?" I asked worriedly.

"That's it, it's the undeniable truth, it really is impossible to bring the dead back to life." He continued laughing.

"Ed, please stop." I whispered, unsure if they could hear.

"Edward, her ahold of yourself!"

"I'm okay granny, I'm finally okay, this whole time, this thing has been a sign of our despair of our mistake, but not anymore, now it's a sign of hope . . . Al cane be turned back to normal, so can you Kristy." I looked at him shocked, I'm all this he still manages to remember me, he is going to help me as well. Suddenly I felt another wave of nausea and before I knew it the world around me dissapeared.
