The front door opened and closed unbeknownst to the girls who were engaged in the scene between Maleficent and the people in the kingdom. Two sets of feet made their way into the living room and stood behind the girls. With an evil smile they spoke

What-" They didn't get all the words out as the house was filled with a scream. Bria looked at Taylor oddly as she had fallen to the ground. Bria turned and saw Tom and Becca there, understanding crossed her features and she began to giggle

"IT IS NOT FUNNY!" Taylor said around a laugh as she tried to be mad

"Oh come Hun, it is."

"For one person. Bria didn't even hear you." Taylor said as she sighed.

"I know I am lucky. I took out the cochlear because I knew they were going to do it." Bria said with a huge smile

"You were in on it!?"

"You know it!"

"Well I'll be." Taylor sat on the couch and slumped down in her seat and crossed her arms.

"You guys have a good day?"

"Yes. It was great." Bria said.

"Uh huh. It was good, it went by fast. Bria's mom will be here soon."

"We're in no rush. Bria's always welcome." Becca said with a smile as she nodded knowingly at Taylor.

"You guys hungry?" Tom asked as he headed into the kitchen.

"Yeah." Taylor said as she turned off the T.V.

"Do you want corn dogs and fries? Taylor turned to Bria who nodded her head yes

"Sure dad. That sounds great." With Bria's help, the girls set the table. Bria pulled Taylor aside

"I thought you guys were celebrating." Taylor bit her lip

"Oh um, I think we were, but something must have come up."

"Oh." Bria said with a shrug of her shoulders. The only reason they weren't was because by the time Bria's mom got there it would be too late to go out. Though Taylor couldn't blame Bria, her mom was supposed to have been there three hours ago.

"So Bria, your mom tells me you're going to a new school. Are you excited?" Beccas signed as she talked

"I guess so. I am nervous to be in a new state where people do not know my history." She said as her lip quivered

"I can see how that would be scary. Are you going to bring medical papers with you?"

"Actually, I won't need them. Everyone at the school is deaf." She glanced at Becca as she said it. Shock crossed Becca's features

"Oh. I suppose that is good so that you won't feel left out. But I know it will be hard for you because you do so well with hearing people."

"That is why I will go visit the town and do things outside of school. I plan to make friends outside of school." Bria said as she put a tiny corndog in her mouth.

"We will have to make sure Taylor has time to visit you when she comes to visit you." Becca said with a wink

"I would love that." They finished up dinner and started playing UNO when there was a knock on the door.

"I'll get it." Becca said

"It's probably mom." Bria said as she rose and grabbed her backpack.

"Hi Guys!" Shelly said as she came around the corner

"Hi Ms. Shelly."

"I'm so sorry Bria, I got caught up, and then my phone died."

"It's okay mom."

"You ready?"

"Yes." Bria walked towards the door and Taylor followed her

"Hey, if you need something, just text, or call."

"I will." She said as she got into the car. Shelly followed shortly after and lifted a hand as she backed out of the driveway. Her parents went back into the house but Taylor stayed out on the stoop, her eyes had caught a glimpse of a man in black poking around Stone's house.

"Tay?"

"Coming Dad." With one final glance, Taylor shut the door.

"So Bria? She seemed sad."

"She is. She doesn't want to go to the school. She hates that her mom applied for that college and got accepted." Taylor said as she put the dishes into the dishwasher.

"I can see why. I mean she's so used to being around hearing people at school, it will be weird and different for her."

"Yeah." Taylor said with a nod of her head.

"Sorry we didn't go out Tay."

"It's alright dad. How about tomorrow night?"

"We'll check our schedules. And if not, we'll make it up to you some day or another. " Tom said, pulling her into a hug.

"High School Musical Three anyone?" Her mom called from the living room.

"Oh yeah!" Taylor called out as they plopped down onto the couch. It was finally time to watch the movie again. They had watched it when her brother graduated and now it was her turn. Halfway through, they popped popcorn and threw in some M & M's so that they would melt. They took out small tubs of Ben and Jerry's ice cream too. They stuffed themselves silly and soon Taylor had a tummy ache,

"Ooof."

"What?"

"My tummy." She said rubbing it

"I told you not to eat too much." Her dad said ruffling her hair

"Dad, when it comes to sugar, I don't listen." She said with a grin. He sighed and rose, cleaning up wrappers. Taylor frowned at this.

"You know he can get a bit salty when you don't listen. Just give him a moment."

"Yeah."

"Now come on, your dad and I have to get up early, we'll finish the rest tomorrow?"

"Sure." They went into the kitchen, cleaned everything up and headed upstairs to brush teeth and change into pajamas. Taylor had just climbed into bed when her phone dinged

"GUESS WHAT MY MOM JUST GOt ME!"

"What?"

"A puppy! I am so freaking excited!"

"OMG that's awesome, Bria. Maybe I can come over tomorrow and see him/her."

"Yes, that would be awesome." Taylor's door opened. She clicked her phone off.

"Hi honey, I just wanted to tell you not to set an alarm."

Okay mom. Will you be home when I wake up?"

"Probably not. But just know you can always text us whenever."

"Yeah. I will." Becca kissed her forehead and then closed her door. Taylor turned off her phone then she snuggled under the covers with a smile on her lips, she was finally free.
