"good morning" my mom woke me up softly "how's my little deb?" she asked me

"tired" i groaned with a laugh "hey mom" i looked up at her "i love you"

her eyes soften and she petted my head "i love you too" she kissed my forehead "i'll meet you downstairs?"

"yeah" i smiled at her

todays the day.

after i changed i sat on a stool in the kitchen next to jere and i laid my head on his shoulder. susannah said something about not going into a room and that belly is driving us

wow we're all grown up

being in this dress made me feel special, like i'm worth something, to myself and everyone else.

and since i'm done getting ready i'm just on my phone, scrolling through tiktok

"oh my god, you are stunning" shayla looked me up and down

me? i thought, "you are gorgeous shayla" i tell her the truth

"thank you, are you excited?" she asked me

"yeah" i say "and nervous, what about you?" i asked her the same question

"yeah definitely nervous" she exclaimed "i can't wait to see the boys dance though" she said

"yeah i heard it's probably gonna be the talk of the whole show" i laughed and she joined in with my laughing

"i bet so, steven said he's been practicing" she said which made me even laugh harder

"doubt that" i stood up hearing paige

"it's about to start guys cmon, get in line!" paige hurried us

way to make us even more scared and nervous

"isabel conklin, daughter of john conklin and laurel park, a student at chester took high school where she is captain of the varsity volleyball team"

i watched as my sister and conrad walked down that stage thing

i still can't believe she chose him, not cam cameron. but i think im glad

it was me next, i waved a jere from the other side and he smirked at me

"penny conklin, daughter of john conklin and lural park, captain of the varsity track team at chester high school"

i connected my arm with jeres and he whispered "you look hot"

i smiled to myself "thank you" i tell him "you do too"

we took pictures then walked down to our spot, infest of our family

i gave my rose to my mom, bent down and gave susannah's a kiss on her head than hugged my mom

it was now the boys dance and i sat next to belly while we watched it

after basically cheering our voices off for conrad, steven and jere i realized that jeremiah was no where to be found

"where's jere?" i asked my mom and susannah

"i have no clue" susannah stated "i bet he just went to the bathroom, sit and wait he'll be back in a second"

yeah he better

but then a second turned into minutes, which meant i sat down watching everyone else do the dance, without me and jere

while watching them dance i did smile, i was happy for everyone else. i felt someone move behind me. i turned around and saw jeremiah talking to his mom, he looked at me for a split second

has he been crying? i asked myself, he couldn't have

when the dance was over jeremiah walked to belly and conrad "conrad we need to talk all right?"

i stood up and walked over to them too, i stood next to jere, close to him but not touching. im upset with him

"it's important it's about mom" jere finished with tears in his eyes "i found something out"

"we'll talk about this later oaky?" conrad said

"no it's important" jere fought back

"it's ok" conrad out his hand on hers chest

"you already know don't you?" jere asked him, obviously he's now getting upset

i slipped my hand into jeres and he barley looked at me before ripping it away

"you've known this whole fucking time and didn't tell me?" jere asked, a tear dropped down his face

"jere" conrad whispered

i couldn't believe what happened next, jere punched conrad in the face, making everyone gasp

"stop it!" susannah yelled at them "what is going on?" 

"mom" jeres voice cracked

what's happening?

"we know, mom" conrad finished for him "we both know"

"know what?" belly and i both spoke

"i feel so stupid" belly cried into my shoulder as mom cuddled into her

"hunny, why would you feel stupid?" mom asked her

i was silent this whole time, i have nothing i wanna say

"because all summer long, i've been thinking about myself, and susannah was sick and i didn't even know" belly cried even harder

"that's how she wanted it" mom told us

after a few minutes, steven walked into bellys room "she's not gonna get better is she?" he asked and mom shook her head no

that made me cry harder "she can't die" i whispered as steven laid in bed with us, hugging us. like this is the last time we're all gonna be together

i sat next to jeremiah as we ate dinner, i didn't talk as we ate dinner. i was just happy to be here. with everyone.

jere put his hand on my knee and gave my knee a squeeze "you okay?"

i nodded and said "yeah" i blinked out a tear, he automatically stood up and asked if we could be excused

i stood up and walked with him outside, we out ou legs int the pool, my hand gripped his, very tight. i didn't want to let it go. i refused

"i'm just so happy you and conrad convinced her to go the trail" i told him with a smile "and i'm sorry about it all"

"don't be, i'm sorry about missing the dance" he said "i really am. i just, i needed to kn-"

i cut him off "ding apologize please" i paused "i would've done the same thing"

"yeah" he stared off into the dark sky

"i love you" i blurted out

"what?" he asked me

"i love you" i repeated, he smiled and kissed me softly, like the first time we ever kissed

"i love you too"

i may have cried during this one. i'm torn that i have to wait a little bit for season 2!
