Police are looking for help from the public relating to the missing person seen on Lochwood Bridge accompanied by now deceased schoolgirl Beth Wikers, 17. A witness reports seeing Wikers, and the accompanied girl both diving into the rocky waters around the bridge close to 3:45 pm on Saturday, March 31. The witness has described the girl as the same height as Wikers (5'3) and with long wavy brown hair, wearing all black clothing.
A body washed up on the shoreline of the river in the early hours of yesterday morning has now been identified as Beth Wikers, while the other unidentified girl has not been found and is now presumed a missing person.
Lochwood Police are labeling this as a suicide pact gone wrong.
A funeral will be held at the Lochwood town church for Miss Wikers on April 7, with service starting at 10:30. Friends as well as townsfolk are invited to attend to pay their respects to the deceased and her devastated family, who have been a prominent part of the small town for many years.
