They dance beyond my reach
I see them laugh and smile
They fight their wondrous battles
Even if it takes a while

I reach out to touch them
To join the name is my dream
But I am harshly stopped
By my computer screen

A mess of wires and cables
Drop down from my ears
I keep turning up the volume
To drown out all my fears

I cry, I laugh, I live for them
They've saved me so many times
With their beautiful good deeds
And their murderous crimes

I don't have many friends
I've come to realize this
No matter what reality says
Anime is my happiness and bliss

I'll cry, no person hears me
Anime calms my strife
Anime is my escape
From this crap called life
