Aria is walking down the hall with Zero when she notices Harumi's room open. She peeks in and sees Lloyd jump out the window.

"Is something wrong sister?" Zero asks

"Harumi is missing," Aria replies turning towards him

"What?!" Hutchins rushes up to them "Did I hear that right?"

"Yes, we should go find my dear sister," Aria says turning around, her eyes glow purple "before she gets hurt."

"Rumi, I should get you home" Lloyd says with a smile

"Yes. You should be home, your Highness"

They turn around and they gasp "Hutchins!"

"Look Rumi and I were just going for a walk" Lloyd defends

"Rumi? A walk?" Hutchins frowned

"This is a dangerous part of town," Aria pops out from behind Hutchins, she walks to Harumi "It's not a place for a princess."

"Aria?" Lloyd looked surprised

"Sister.." Harumi looks nervous

"It's troubling to see you two are on a first name basis. The streets are not safe at night, your Highness. I must insist you return with me, at once" Hutchins insists and they start walking away

Aria turns and follows them as Lloyd runs up to her.

"Your sister just wanted to help the people," Lloyd tells her "don't let her be punished too harshly."

"She's not my sister," Aria replies spitefully as she crosses her arms "as my boyfriend you should be more worried about how this could affect me."

"What?" Lloyd looked genuinely confused "How this could affect you?"

"The crown princess's boyfriend was spotted in a suspicious part of town with nobody else but her proclaimed sister," Aria says "It'd be all over the news."

"I didn't mean for it to look like that," Lloyd tells her honestly with a sad look "I'm sorry."

Aria sighs and puts her hand on his cheek "get that puppy dog look off your face, just be more careful."

"I will," Lloyd nods

Lloyd put his arm around her as they walked back to the palace, he made sure to be on guard. Aria smiles watching him protect her, she knew he truly cared. The next day Aria and Zero were walking around the palace as the ninja protected the Oni Mask.

"You haven't gotten to talk to them yet have you?" Zero asks

"No and I'm getting bored," Aria replies "I wanna know what they've been doing all these years. My brother's always have the best stories after their journeys.. also.."

"You wanna know if they found anything on Wu," Zero says

"Yeah," Aria nods in response "I lost one father figure, I wasn't ready to loose another so soon."

Zero side hugs her as Harumi appeared in the end of the hallway.

"Zero, mother's looking for you," Harumi tells him "She's in the audience hall."

"Alright," Zero sighs, he smiles to Aria before heading out

Aria and Harumi stare at each other before Aria goes to walk in the opposite direction.

"Aria.." Harumi calls out, Aria turns to her as she smiles "Can we talk?"

Aria crosses her arms "Alright."

Harumi walks into a nearby room with Aria following, Aria stands opposite from her inside the room.

"So, what do you want?" Aria asks

"To apologize," Harumi replies "you rightfully deserve the crown princess title. You've protected this town since you were 10, of course you're the right fit."

"It's not like you to back down from a fight," Aria says "What's the deal?"

"Nothing," Harumi walks towards the door "I just realized that I could never be Empress.. as long as you and Layla remained.."

"What do you-"

Harumi ran out of the room and slammed the doors shut.

"Harumi!" Aria shouts running to the door and hitting it

The metal on the door was similar to the chains she was bound in when she was trapped by Nadakhan. Aria continued pounding on the door.

"You're right Aria, I don't give up," Harumi sighs on the other side of the door "If only you accepted me back then.. maybe this would've turned out different."

"Harumi open the door!" Aria shouts

"It's a shame you won't be around to see the rein of the rightful ruler," Harumi says

"Harumi-"

Their was a loud explosion and Aria covered her head.

"Farewell," Harumi says spitefully "sister."

"Harumi!" Aria shouts, no reply, "Zero! Lloyd! Kai!"

More blasts went off, but this time in the room she was in. Aria screamed as she tried to get out of the room. Her powers would only make the fire worse at this point, she was trapped. Meanwhile, the ninja were approached by Sons of Garmadon after the explosion. 

Lloyd grabs Hutchins "You did this! You helped them!"

"I had nothing to do with this" Hutchins argues

"Cole said he saw you in the tunnels. With the explosives!" Lloyd shouts

"Whatever your friend saw, it wasn't me. I have served this house for the better part of my life, and have sworn to protect the Royal Family. Watch out!" Hutchins saves Lloyd from Ultra Violet's sai.

"You saved me" Lloyd says surprised

"Does anyone have eyes on the Princess?" Hutchins asks

Zane saw Harumi and protected her "Come with me, Princess. We need to get you out of here"

Zane freezes Ultra Violet and the ninja group together

Lloyd sighs "good you're okay"

Harumi looks around "But what about the mask?

They see Mr. E. grab the mask of vengeance and he puts it on. He gained 4 arms.

Jay shrugs "Really? Four arms? Pfft. Like that's new"

The four fight against Mr. E, but with the Mask of Vengeance, he overpowers them and breaks the case holding the Mask of Deception. Before he can take it, Kai sends a fireball at the mask, which destroys it.

Nya ran in at that moment "Uh, I think my brother just destroyed the Mask of Deception."

Lloyd turned around "What?"

"That one was a fake. I procured the real one from the vaults below" Hutchins pulls out the real mask "Forgive me, your Highness, it is the Mask if Deception. I wasn't sure if I could trust the Ninja. But I do now" He reveals a passage under the throne "Take it. And get the Princess out of here!"

"But what about my parents and my sister?" Harumi asks

"I'll find them." Hutchins says before turning to Lloyd "I was wrong about you. Go!"

"But Aria-"

"I will find her," Hutchins tells him "I promise."

Hesitantly, Lloyd and Harumi leave the Palace grounds on a motorcycle with the Mask of Deception, and Ultra Violet and several Sons of Garmadon goons chase after them. After a long chase, Ultra Violet takes the Mask of Deception from Lloyd and Harumi, then she and her goons chase them down to the docks. 

Lloyd takes Harumi onto a boat, then fires it up, revealing it to be the Destiny's Bounty, and they escape from Ultra Violet's grasp.

"Whoa. I've never seen the city from this high before" Harumi says as she looks out at the city.

"Your highness, welcome aboard the Destiny's Bounty" Lloyd smiles

As the sun rises, the other Ninja along with Zero are climbing the highway, having escaped the destruction of the Royal Palace. Lloyd picks them up in the Destiny's Bounty. 

Harumi approaches them with Lloyd who was looking between them frantically. Zero looked down as the ninja all looked away in sadness.

Harumi steps up "The Emperor and Empress? Where is Hutchins? Did they-"

"I'm sorry, Princess" Nya replies sadly "They didn't make it.."

"Reika too," Kai adds sadly as he held back tears

"Aria.." was all Lloyd managed to say

Zero shakes his head as he balls his fist in anger.

Kai looks at Lloyd "What about the mask?" Lloyd shakes his head, Kai then turns to Harumi "I promise you, we'll find the people responsible for this."

"Once again, I am alone" Harumi looks sad as Zero glares at her.

"You're with us now and we'll make sure to find out who is behind all this." Lloyd comforts her "They are not going to get away."

Jay and Zane comforted Harumi with Lloyd as Zero, Cole, Kai, and Nya looked back at the destruction of the palace.

"You don't really think Aria's gone do you?" Cole asks

"I don't know," Zero shakes his head "my sister's strong.. she would've been there at the fight.. we would've seen her.."

"We failed," Nya cries

Kai wraps his arm around Nya "We failed as her family, we should've protected her.."

"Mother and her were just starting to bond again," Zero says before screaming in anger "damn it!"

Unknown to the ninja, on the other side of the city Reika had escaped the destruction of the palace along with other members of Aria's private knights. They were making their way through the forest, keeping an eye out for any remaining Sons of Garmadon.

"Captain," Reika turns around to Kaname "We're almost there, it's clear."

"Good, hurry everyone!" Kaname replies waving to the rest of the knights

The group quickly rushes through the clearing and into their secret base. They make-way into the hideout and take a breath.

"We arrived your highness," Hanabusa walks in last, carrying an unconscious Aria, covered in soot from the fire.

Hanabusa laid Aria on the base's couch as the members gathered around. Aria was breathing and the members seemed relieved.

"Your safe now, Aria." Reika tells the unconscious princess "Rest up."

"Everyone!" Kaname gets their attention "Let's get to work!"

The knights all stand at attention "Yes sir!"
