The Ninja finds Dr. Julien on the Endless Sea's shore.

"What was that sound? The horns?" Julien questions

"The Celestial Clock has reached zero. Garmadon's ultimate weapon is now operational and the Final Battle between good and evil has all but begun" Wu replies

"Now Lloyd must face his father" Misako adds

"But where's Nya?" Julian asks

"She's been taken by the Overlord, but we'll get her back. At the moment, there are bigger things at stake, including all of Ninjago itself" Wu answers "Lloyd, your focus gives strength to invoking the power of the Golden Dragon. You cannot lose faith now. Everything rests on your shoulders."

"But Sensei, you saw what happened when I tried to face my father. I-I froze. I can't fight him" Lloyd says sadly

"You must." Wu insists "It is written in the scrolls."

"Remember, your father is just as scared" Misako reminds him

Wu nods "Then the battle will be decided by who is willing to fight"

"But," Lloyd looks down "I need Aria.."

"You must find the strength to fight," Misako puts her hand on his shoulder "For her sake."

"We still haven't found her yet.." Lloyd looks up at his mother "What if.."

"No," Wu shakes his head "I don't think she is gone."

"That's right.." Misako hesitates before finishing her sentence "No matter what.. a father wouldn't kill his child."

The ninja all stopped what they were doing and looked at Misako.

"What," Kai speaks "What do you mean?"

"There's something I need to tell you, ninja," Wu says "Something I was afraid to tell you."

"Understand, it was to protect Aria," Misako adds "but we fear it has to be something you need to be prepared for."

"Whatever it is, you can tell us," Zane says

"Your sister, Aria," Wu started "is the Overlord's daughter. The man orchestrating this all."

"She's.. his daughter?" Lloyd questions shocked

"That man we saw in the past," Jay turns to the ninja "Aria's father, he was the Overlord?"

"That explains why the Empress and the elemental masters had to destroy him." Cole agrees

"Why didn't you tell us sooner?" Kai asks turning to Wu and Misako "Aria was afraid of her powers, she was afraid to hurt us, we could've helped her."

"I was afraid of how you all would react." Wu sighs "I didn't want you to turn your back on her."

"We would never," Cole says

"Yeah Sensei," Jay agrees "She's our sister."

"But, if the Overlord has Aria," Misako gets their attention "there may be a chance he will use her against us. The Overlord is known to be manipulative and can use Aria's emotions against her to send her powers out of control."

"Then we'll do as we always have," Kai smiles "Remind her who she is, our sister."

The ninja all nod in agreement.

"You all have grown," Wu smiles "I am happy to have you as my students."

At the shore of the island, Garmadon was standing on his new weapon with the Overlord beside him. The stone army was preparing for battle, Kozu held Aria's arms behind her back at the bottom of the weapon.

"You don't have to do this Father," Aria grunts as she tries to get out of Kozu's hold

"Oh yes," the Overlord chuckles "I do."

"You're the worst!" Aria shouts

"You're the one fighting me every step of the way," the Overlord growls "You didn't use to be this way. Why won't you just realize your true potential, you're a future Overlord, you're meant to rule after me. Why can't you see that?"

"Cause I care about the people of this realm!" Aria replies with tears in her eyes "I don't want to hurt anyone!"

"You're foolish," the Overlord says "All people ever did in this life is shun you and treat you like you're nothing. Once you realize that you'll see things from my point of view, one way or another."

"I will never be like you." Aria shakes her head "Never."

"It's time" the Overlord announces to Garmadon

Garmadon laughs "Yes, load the cannon. Finally, my darkest dream will now become reality" He is about to push the button

"Father, don't!" they hear Lloyd shout

Lloyd, Misako, and Wu ran out of the forest and stopped before the weapon.

"Lloyd!" Garmadon shouts

"Lloyd!" Aria shouts happily

"Aria!" Lloyd tries to run to her but Misako grabs him

"Hold on," Misako says "We will save her, but we can't rush in foolishly."

Lloyd nods in agreement before making a sign to Aria, which meant he got her, and Aria smiles.

"What are you doing? Push the button!" The Overlord orders

"So, the balance has sent my son, my brother, and my wife to try to stop me? It looks like my little surprise has kept the Ninja busy" Garmadon says

"Don't do it. If you alter the balance, it will allow the Overlord to cross over" Misako pleads

"I don't want to fight you but I will if I have to." Lloyd says to his father "This is about more than just us. This is about what is right."

"Don't you see? I will never do what's right. The evil in my blood can never go away. It has corrupted every ounce of my fiber, every bone in my body. I am Lord Garmadon. Destiny took my family from me, and the only way for us to be together is to turn everything in this world into my image. Then you'll all see what I see, feel what I feel!" Garmadon shouts

"It is not too late," Misako says

"You've made your decision, and I have made mine" Garmadon pushes the button.

The computer came on "Garmatron warming up. In T-minus 20...19...18...17..."

"How anticlimactic" Aria mutters

"Warming up? You could've warned me it had to warm up!" Garmadon shouts

"How could I? You were monologuing" The Overlord says annoyed and Aria laughs

"For someone being held against your will you seem pretty entertained" Garmadon looks at Aria and she shrugs

"We have to get to the top and shut it off," Lloyd says to the others

"Stop them!" Garmadon shouts

Misako blocked the Garmatron's blasters "Go!"

"...11...10...9...8 ...7..."

Lloyd climbs up the Garmatron as another warrior grabs onto Aria.

"...6...5...4...3..."

Kozu pinned down Lloyd "Got you!"

"Lloyd!" Aria shouts

"...2...1." Garmatron fires a capsule of Dark matter.

"No!" Misako shouts

"We're losing" Lloyd cries

"Again!" the Overlord shouts

"The balance is shifting," Misako says

"Lloyd, you must focus and put a stop to this!" Wu shouts

Lloyd tries to destroy the Garmatron with his Energy, but Garmadon ejects him out

"You think you can stop me!?" Garmadon launches another missile.

"Our worst fears," Wu says sadly

The Overlord laughs.

"I tried" Lloyd looks down as Wu helps him up

"It is done." Misako looks horrified "The balance has shifted."

"My old friend, you've helped offset the balance" the Overlord laughs "Because of you, I can now cross over into your world. I'm finally free once again!"

Garmadon screams as a beam of light hits him, at that moment the ninja arrive.

"Sorry, we're late. Did we miss much?" Jay looks at Garmadon "Holy unholy"

Garmadon sees his hands turn into claws "What is happening to me?"

"Are you scared? I'm scared" Jay says

The Overlord possesses Garmadon. Lord Garmadon's hands morph into claws, his limbs lengthen, and the demented laughter of the Overlord issues from his newly-reptilian mouth.

"Unlike your father, the Overlord will show you no mercy Lloyd," Wu says

The Overlord laughs as he approaches Aria. The ninja begin to run over but Wu puts his arm out, stopping them.

"It's too dangerous," Wu tells them

"Aren't you happy princess?" the overlord rubs her head 

Aria makes a squeaking sound in fear

"You don't need to be scared, I'd never hurt my darling daughter" the Overlord laughs

"Let's do this," Lloyd tells the ninja

"Now we need more evil, but where to attack next? Ninjago City" the Overlord says

Wu and Misako attack the Warriors before they reload the cannon. Jay hits the Dark Matter toward the Endless Sea. Kai knocks out a Stone Scout and takes control of its blasters

Lloyd jumps up onto the Garmatron "This ends now!" He blasts his Energy at the stone warriors holding Aria then he blasts it at the Overlord

The Overlord knocks Lloyd off of the tank.

"Lloyd!" Aria shouts

The Overlord grabs her "Don't you dare."

"Don't touch me!" Aria's eyes glow purple

Her raw dark energy blasts the Overlord off the Garmatron. Aria jumped off rushing towards Lloyd.

"Aria" Lloyd hugs her tightly "You're ok."

"Are you ok?" Aria asks worriedly

"..I'll be fine," Lloyd reassures her

Lloyd smiles at Aria before letting her go and rushing towards the beach. The battle continues, Lloyd and the Overlord briefly clash with energy beams before Lloyd dodges and blasts his foe into the jungle. The Overlord quickly recovers and flies above the trees, delivering a brutal tackle that sends Lloyd flying.

"The battle for good and evil. I can do this for eternity, but can you? Your friends can't help you now. You are all alone" The Overlord gloats

"No, I'm not. My father is still in you. He will fight with me" Lloyd declares

Lord Garmadon briefly asserts himself from within the Overlord, begging Lloyd to stay strong—the Overlord's confusion and shock allows Lloyd to take the offensive. They clash with their energy beams once more.

"Father! Fight him!" Lloyd shouts

"Your father is...gone!" the Overlord overpowers Lloyd and throws him.

"Lloyd!" Aria shouts running to him

"My son!" Misako looks shocked

Wu and Misako run to Lloyd quickly.

The Overlord laughs while pointing the cannon at him "You were always so...green"

 The Overlord pushes the button that sends a rocket at Lloyd, but the Bounty defended him. Julien jumps off before the Dark Matter can affect him, destroying the Bounty.

The Overlord growls as he reloads the cannon "This time I won't miss" He pushes the button. Aria quickly stood in front of Lloyd and took the hit.

"Aria!" Wu shouts rushing up to her

Aria puts her hand over her stomach where it hit.

"Are you ok?" Wu asks worriedly

"..yeah.." Aria looks surprised "I don't feel any different.."

"You're immune to dark matter!" the Overlord shouts from the Garmatron "Child why are you so reckless?!"

Aria turns and faces her father. Wu and Misako look up at her.

"Aria.." Misako speaks

"The Green Ninja has fallen," the Overlord looks directly at his daughter "You should realize there's no point in resisting."

"There's always a reason to fight," Aria replies "For all those people in Ninjago."

"You're as foolish as your mother," the Overlord growls

Aria's eyes glow purple.

Wu reaches out to her "Aria don't-"

Aria disappears and reappears behind her father. He puts his arms up to block Ari's kick. The Overlord sends a beam at her and she reflects it back only for him to move.

"Enough! I don't need to waste my time with your pestering" the Overlord says grabbing Aria "It's time for you to join me, my daughter"

"Aria no!" Kai shouts

The Overlord places his hand over Aria's head and her eyes turn solid purple.

"Aria!" Jay shouts

"He's going to use her powers to control her," Wu says "Everyone back!"

Aria's body was covered in darkness as her hair turned black and horns grew from her head.

"hahaha," The Overlord laughs "Now we'll go to Ninjago City to finish this once and for all!" He makes a portal to Ninjago City.

"No!" The ninja began to run towards them

"If they leave, that means we'll be stuck here with no way to get back! Get to the vortex, now!" Kai shouts, he jumps, but the portal disappears before them "Noooo!"

Wu looks down "Aria.. resist him.. please.. I know you can.."
