It's been one year since Nya saved Ninjago and became one with the sea.

Aria hummed as she fixed Lloyd's tie. Lloyd stared down at the floor as Reika stood at the door silently. Reika closed her eyes, feeling comfort in Aria's voice.

"All done," Aria says as she took a step away from Lloyd "you're all set for the meeting."

"Thanks dear," Lloyd replies

Aria looks over at Reika who also seemed down. Aria sighed as she looked out the window at the sea.

"It's almost that time isn't it?" Aria questions

"Nevermind it," Reika says "you'll be late."

Reika opens the door and the two walk out. Lloyd soon stops walking and turns to Aria.

"What's the matter?" Aria asks

"It's almost been a full year," Lloyd tells her "Nya wouldn't want you to wear black forever."

Lloyd turns around and continues walking to the meeting room. Aria looks down at her dress before following after him.

"Announcing the arrival of the Princess Regnant Aria and her Prince Consort Lloyd."

Lloyd and Aria entered the meeting hall where the council all stood, bowing to them. Aria took the seat of the Empress as Lloyd sat to her side. The councilman all sat in their seats after them.

"The meeting may commence," Aria says "gentleman, you may speak."

"Your majesty, it has been almost 7 months since your mother has fallen ill," one of the men talk "we may have to consider her lifespan is at its end and make preparations."

"My mother has yet to deem herself as indisposed," Aria replies "until she is better I will remain regnant. In the case that she does not, we will be prepared."

"Our concern Princess, is that their is no royal heir." another spoke "should anything happen to you or the prince concert Ninjago will be lost."

"There should be no concern for that councilman," Aria says "I have no intention of kicking the bucket anytime soon nor does my consort. That is all I will speak of the matter, next topic."

"The ceramony preparations are almost complete," another member spoke up "It was be exactly as your highness wishes."

"Thank you," Aria smiles "I appreciate all your hard work."

"After everything the ninja have done for us it is the least we could do," he replies

The meeting went on with other boring topics until it was adjourned. The royals exited the room to find Reika talking to Kai and Cole.

"Hey there you guys are," Kai smiles to them

"How's it going?" Cole greets

"Cole. Kai. What are you doing here?" Lloyd asks

Aria walked over to Reika to discuss what was next on their schedule.

"We're getting the team together to look into this Vengestone thing." Kai tells him

"Sorry," Lloyd sighs "I can't.. our time as ninja is over, and we gotta accept that."

"Lloyd, c'mon, buddy!" Kai grabs his shoulders "You gotta snap out of it!"

"Yeah! Whatever happened to Ninja never q⁠⁠u-"

Lloyd cut Cole off "Don't say it. Just don't! I don't wanna hear that! I'm - I'm done! Okay? I can't be responsible for anyone ever again."

"Lloyd," Kai shakes his head "You're the prince consort, you're responsible for the whole city."

"I just have to sit there and listen," Lloyd replies "Aria makes all the decisions."

"Is that really how you want to live the rest of your life?" Cole questions

"Yeah," Lloyd replies "Sorry guys, I have work to do."

The two ninja watch as Lloyd walks back over to Aria.

"What did they want?" Aria asks him as she watched the two walk away.

"They want to get the team back together," Lloyd says

"Really?" Aria smiles "That sounds fun."

"No no," Lloyd shook his head "We're done with that remember, we rule Ninjago now."

"I rule Ninjago Lloyd," Aria says as she straightens his collar "This sort of stuff doesn't really suite you."

"Yes it does," Lloyd takes her hand "I'm with my wife, where I belong."

Lloyd walks with Reika towards their next destination as Aria sighs.

"Where is Lloyd?" Reika asks Aria

Aria and Reika stood out by the water where thousands of people were gathered with lanterns.

"I sent him to go see the ninja," Aria replies with a sad smile "I hope this is enough to reach them."

"Are you ready?" Hanabusa approaches Aria and holds out his hand "Princess?"

"Yes." Aria sighs before taking his hand

Aria stood in front of the large crowd, almost all of Ninjago had shown up to the candlelight vigil she had held in Nya's honor.

"Thank you all," Aria addresses the crowd "For showing up today. The water ninja, Nya, has sacrificed so much for this Empire. She was my teammate, my friend, and my sister. Today we light these candles with our messages, hoping that it will reach her and those who are suffering from her loss."

The crowd claps as Aria makes her way over to the water. She kneels down and places her lantern in the water.

"I hope, this reaches them." Aria mutters before releasing it

As Aria stood up, Reika released hers second, the people then began to place their own lanterns in the water, to follow the girl's. 

Reika turns to Aria "Thank you."

Aria put her arm around Reika and the two girls hugged, watching the lanterns travel across the water.

Out on the ocean, dozens of small lanterns from the candlelight vigil float towards the lighthouse. Jay gasps as he runs to the shore, picking up a lantern. Kai, Zane and Cole follow him. In the distance, Lloyd was walking up to them.

"It's beautiful." Lloyd says as he approaches the ninja

"You came." Cole says happily turning towards him

"What changed your mind?" Kai asks

"Nya wouldn't want us to quit. If she saw us like this, she'd kick our butts and tell us to get back to work." Lloyd replies with a light chuckle

Jay rips off his beard, he put his hand on his chin "Ow! That hurt."

The five put their hands together in a circle.

"So what do you say? For Nya?" Lloyd smiles

"For Nya!" the others agree

The five stand ashore the lighthouse watching all the lanterns.

"It looks as if everyone in the city took part in this." Jay points out "I wonder who orchestrated it all?"

"Aria did," Cole states turning to Lloyd "Right?"

"Yeah," Lloyd nodded "she kicked my butt to go see you guys, and she was right."

"But we're not a team without Aria," Jay whines "who's gonna yell at me?"

"She'll still yell at you," Lloyd chuckles

"She'd kick your ass if she saw how you were moping around," Kai laughs

"Aria wore a black dress for a full year to mourn Nya," Lloyd told them "I thought it was stupid. But I was wrong, I was so wrong. She finally changed it to blue today, for Nya. She had hoped, this would reach us."

"Well," Jay looked out at the sea "It reached us."
