Aria could feel the tension in the room as she sat with Layla for lunch. Lloyd had gone for training with the Ninja and hadn't returned yet.

"Is everything ok?" Aria breaks the silence

"Everything is fine dearest," Layla replies "How is your brother?"

"Fine," Aria answers "He and Vania are planning to get married."

"Already?" Layla chuckles "That's definitely my boy."

Aria looks confused at her mother's strange change in behavior.

"Aria," Layla spoke as she put down her fork.

Aria looks up at her mother worriedly.

"I'm sorry," Layla says as she folds her hands together "I know those words don't mean much coming from me. Years ago, in the old castle, I said those words to you, but I didn't change. I held you to a higher standard then myself. For that I'm sorry."

"Mother.." Aria's eyes filled with tears

"You know what I did to your father," Layla says "and you're better then him. You didn't let my words effect who you were. I've never said it before, but I am proud of you. I should've told you that, instead of criticizing you."

Aria stood up from her chair and ran to hug her mother. Layla slowly wrapped her arms around Aria and hugged her.

"I'm sorry, my daughter." Layla says "You've found yourself a good man, and a good family. I know you'll be safe, should anything ever happen to me."

"That means a lot, mother." Aria says

Suddenly, the doors open loudly. Lloyd and Aria's guards rushed in.

"We need to get everyone out of the city!" Reika shouts

"What's going on?" Layla asks

Kaname holds out a crystal ball, the image of the harbor shows, Gayle Gossip is reporting the rising sea level and the storms.

"I'm reporting from Ninjago Harbor where sea levels are rapidly rising, prompting an evacuation of the city. Within the past ten minutes, winds have picked up nearly twenty knots, and a storm front has come out of nowhere" She gasps as Wojira emerges "What is that?"

"Destroy them all!" Kalmaar laughs as Wojira floods the city

"I have to get back to the ninja." Lloyd says "A lot has happened."

"And why wasn't I told sooner?!" Aria asks, looking annoyed.

"There was no time," Lloyd explains "we have to stop that thing."

Lloyd rushes to the door with Aria following.

"Wait!" Layla calls out and Aria turns to her "Before, to stop the cyclone, you used your black ice, do not use this on them. Your black ice can be protentional unreversible, not even the hottest fire can melt it. If you use this in the city it can be dangerous."

"Then I won't use it," Aria replies "We'll make sure to stop them."

"I know you will," Layla smiles

Lloyd looks confused before running out the door.

"Reika, protect my mother," Aria tells her "that's an order."

"You can count on me wife!" Reika solutes her before rushing with the other knights to escort Layla to safety.

Aria smiles before running after Lloyd. The two make there way through the city, rushing to find the ninja.

"Come in guys," Lloyd speaks through his hood "I got Aria out of the palace, where are you?!"

"The NGTV building," came Zane's reply "Jay's not doing well."

Aria and Lloyd look at each other worriedly before rushing to the NGTV building. They entered and put down their hoods as they approached the ninja. 

"How is he?" Kai asks Zane

"Jay has a significant amount of sea water in his lungs." Zane replies "Unless the water is removed, his condition will worsen."

"Oh Jay," Aria says as she bends down to him

"Uh, what about Nya? Maybe she can draw out the water." Kai suggests

"She has tried." Wu says "The water in his lungs does not respond to her."

"We need to get him to a hospital!" Lloyd turns to the others

"How are we gonna move him with that thing out there hunting us?" Kai questions

"We all need to calm down," Aria says as she stood up "Jay's life is at risk as well as every else's in the city. We have to prioritize multiple lives over one."

"You're saying to leave jay?!" Cole questions angrily.

"I'm saying it's 1 to hundreds," Aria replies "We are ninja, we are here to protect others.

"Aria's right," Nya sighs and turns to the sea person in the room "Bentho, how did Nyad defeat Wojira? In the story you told me."

"I completely didn't notice he was here," Aria mutters looking at Lloyd "Who is he?"

"A friend we met," Lloyd tells her "Don't worry."

"She became one with the sea." Benthomaar tells Nya

"But how exactly?" Nya questions

"She opened herself up to the full power of the ocean. She merged with it." Benthomaar replies as Nya gazes at the sea outside. "Do not think of such things. Nyad may have defeated Wojira, but she lost herself. What she did ... could not be undone. She vanished."

"Let's rest for now," Aria suggests "Ninja need their rest, a battle is not often won in a day."

"Spoken like a true master," Wu nods "I wonder where you got it from?"

"That would be you sensei," Aria smiles

Aria sat next to Jay as the ninja all slept, she kept her eyes closed, resting. Aria opened her eyes when she heard movement. Nya was standing in front of Jay, Aria remained quiet as Nya kisses Jay on the cheek.

"I wish we had more time, but we never seem to get a break." Nya says as Jay opens his eyes

Nya quietly exits the room, which Aria quickly grabs her fans and follows after. On the roof, she turns to look back at the door where Aria stood.

"Are you doing this cause you feel you need to?" Aria asks

"It's the only way to save him," Nya tells her with a sad smile as tears rolling down her cheeks "You were right, it's not just Jay, the entire city needs me. You know about duty more then anybody else."

"I also know that sacrificing yourself for the happiness of other's isn't worth the cost," Aria shakes her head

"You've always been a good little sister to Jay and the others," Nya says "please take care of him for me."

"Nya.." Aria's eyes tear up, Nya jumps into the sea and Aria runs to the edge of the building "Nya!"

Underwater, Nya does Spinjitzu as her eyes start glowing. After merging with the sea, Nya takes off, Aria watches as the Ninja run out of the building in an attempt to follow her. Aria looks out at the raging sea, that grew more violent by the minute.

"Aria!" Lloyd shouts, spotting her on top of the building "We're going after Nya!"

"Ok!" Aria replies "I'm going to see if I can stop the sea!"

"What does she mean by stop the sea?" Kai questions

"It is in our best interest for Aria to lesson the damage done to the city while we stop the threat," Wu tells them

"Alright, be careful!" Lloyd calls up to Aria before he and the ninja took off again.

Aria transformed into a dragon before taking off towards the sea, instead of using ice to stop the sea, she used fire to hold it back. Soon enough, she turned to look at the city where Wojira's eyes had turned blue and was charging up an attack.

She was stopped when a ball of water strikes her. The attacker is revealed to be a dragon made of water. Aria turned back to the sea, knowing it was Nya. Aria knew this wasn't her fight to end, it was Nya's.

Nya engages Wojira in the form of a dragon, but is disintegrated again, this time by Wojira's blasts. Nya reforms herself in the sky and charges at Wojira. She destroys the Wave Amulet. Wojira is electrocuted by her own powers and vanishes.

Aria landed in the water as she watched the blue light swim through the streets and emerges for one last time in the ocean near Aria. Nya raises her arms, causing the sea level to go back to normal. Aria transformed into her human form, standing on the beach.

"So, was it worth it?" Aria asks as the wind blows her hair in front of her face

"It was," Nya replies "goodbye, my sister."

Nya disappeared into the ocean as Aria watched her.

"That's the first time.." Aria mutters as a tear goes down her face "you've said it."

"We are gathered here today, to honor the memory of Nya." Wu spoke "Inventor. Samurai X. Ninja. Master of Water. And, our dearest friend. Her courage and strength have saved us, time and time again. And although we -- we were unable to save her, we will always remember her. Wherever she is now, she is in our hearts."

Jay sniffles, and Cole comforts him. The ninja stand grimly around a large urn of water with their heads bowed as the citizens looked down as well. Reika covered her eyes as she cried, Aria stood beside her staring down at the water.

"Goodbye," Aria says as the wind once again blew "my sister."
