Maki woke up, looking over at the clock that read "5 am", and sighed.

"Why is it so early?" Maki stood up and started getting dressed.

"It can't hurt to go train alittle.." Maki mumbled and snuck out to the range.

She picked up a small pistol and started shooting the dummy.

"What do you think you're doing?" Said Major, standing behind Maki.

"I'm sorry sir! I woke up early and.." Maki stumbled over her words but instead of Major getting mad he fixed her position.

"You're suppose to hold it like this." Major smiled and motioned for Maki to shoot.

She smiled back shot the dummy, square in the forehead. Major looked at Maki in pure shock.

"You're good, I guess I won't need to train you as much as I thought I had too!"

Maki giggled and smiled big from the admiration that Major gave her.

"Thanks you sir!" Maki said.

Major picked Maki up and took her to the Cafeteria to get breakfast, it was only about 5:30 - 6 AM so Major made breakfast for Maki.

"Sir Major?" Maki hesitantly walked closer to the Major and softly tugged on the hem of his uniform.

"Yes Maki?" Major replied.

"What is you...real name? I'm just curious because everyone calls you Major.." Maki asked.

"I just go by Major, my full name is Alex Major Magnum." Major answered Maki's question and put the toast, eggs, and milk on a table for Maki.

"I want you to at least try to eat." Major told Maki.

Maki just sighed and took a bite out of the toast, slowly swallowing then smiling small.

"It doesn't hurt to eat..like last time."

"That's good. I'm glad i don't have to take you to the infirmary." Major smiled back and hugged Maki.

"Aww the Major does have a soft spot!." Axel teased and laughed.

Major let go of Maki and stomped up to Axel, Wrestling him to the ground. Maki stood up to watch and laughed when Axel was in a headlock by Major.

"Give up little boy?" Major teased back.

"NEVER!!" Axel yelled angrily back at Major.

Major tightens his headlock, not enough to hurt Axel. Soon Axel taps out and Major released Axel from the death grip. Axel coughed and laughed a little.

"Haha! Axel was beaten!" Maki giggled.

Major laughs along with Maki and Axel pouted.

"I will get stronger! I just know it!!" Axel yelled in response to their laughing.

Maki and MAjor just sat back at the table with Axel still sitting on the ground pouting.

Major looks at Axel and then back at Maki.

"Maki would you like to start training today with Alicia and Axel?" Major asked.

"Yeah that would be fun but what about education? I'm only in the third grade and I don't want to be held back. So would I be getting an education at a regular school or maybe here?"

"Actually...that's a good question. I will have to think about that. But for the time being you will be trained in with the bigger people here and have a real trainer." The Major replied and started to walk to his office. Maki followed him, smiling a little.

"Major? Could i stay with you?"

"I don't see why not." Major opened a set of large door, walking in and sitting at his desk, pulling out a stack of papers, signing off and writing. Maki started to clean up a little and use the punching bag and mitts in the corner of the room. Major looked and Maki and smiled, standing up and walking over to Maki. He grabbed her hands.

"If you don't punch correctly, you could seriously hurt yourself." Major shows Maki how to punch. They spend hours, training in that room on how to punch, kick, tackle and other self defense.

"We should go to dinner.." Maki said, out of breathe.

"Oh? Are you going to try and eat today?"

"Um...maybe.."

Major picked Maki up and held her close, walking to the cafeteria. He set Maki down at a table and got her and himself some food.

"Hello darling!" Alicia smiled sweetly at Maki.

"Hello Alicia."

"What's wrong?"

"I just.. Told major something and now he is trying to help me. I don't want to be helped. I can take care of myself!" Maki replied and teared up a little. Alicia hugged Maki close and cuddled her.

"Dear, it's our job to take care of eachother. Everyone here is like family. You're like my little sister!" Alicia giggled a little and Maki hugged Alicia. Major walked back to the table and set a small bowl of jello in front of Maki.

"Try eating that. If you don't like that then i can try giving you a smoothie instead."

Maki replied by poking the jello in curiosity.

"Um... sir..? What is this?"

"...you don't know what Jello is?"

"Nope! I grew up in a village. We ate fresh food and rarely ate unhealthy." Maki smiled innocently.

"She has a point sir." Alicia told Major.

Major just stared at Maki in disbelief.

"Maki you have to try the Jello!! Its sweet and yummy!" Major gave a spoon to Maki and Maki got a small bite, tasting it. Her eyes grew wide and she smiled, eating the whole bowl. Major smiled at himself.

"It's good huh?" Major asked.

Maki nodded eagerly. Xander walked up to Major, Alicia and Maki.

"Hey kiddo."

"Hewwo Xandy!" Maki giggled as Alicia fell out of her chair, laughing. Xander blushed at Alicia and looked away.

"Do you not want me calling you that?" Maki asked.

"No, I don't have a problem with it." Xander replied. Maki looked at Xander then looked at Alicia and jumped up, whispering in Xander's ear.

"You like Ali don't you." Xander froze up and nodded. Maki laughed and kneeled next to Alicia, whispering in her ear.

"Alicia? Do like Xandy?" Alicia smiled a little and whispered back.

"Yeah, he is cute and looks really nice in the uniform."

"Then tell him!" Maki whisper yelled. Alicia sighed and stood up, pulling Xander to the side, in the hallway, Maki followed and secretly watched.

"Xander. I just wanted to tell you.. I really like you. No, I love you." Xander's eyes widened and he pulled Alicia into a kiss.

Maki looked confused and walked back to Major.

"Major? What is love and why did Ali and Xandy put their mouths together?"

Major laughed a little.

"Well I don't really know how to explain love, that's a pretty difficult subject. I guess its what you say to someone who you find attractive or someone who is like family to you, and what they did was called a kiss. It's how someone shows affection to another person." Major explained. Maki nods and hugged Major.

"Okay! Then i would say I love you Major! Right?" Maki says.

"Yes, I love you too Maki."
