Aprit's POV

Mummy called me to ask if I will be back. She had been waiting for dinner and I rushed towards my home. While driving back, I realized Niharika looked alluring in a loose purple Nike T-shirt and white colored shorts. I realized that I was not able to deviate my eyes from her immaculate legs and alluring lips. I urged to touch her, feel her and of course, kiss her but I controlled myself and my growing pervert ways. I wondered if she will get ready to marry me someday. I passed through a temple. I stopped and went inside. Standing in front of the idol of Shri Krishna, I folded my hands and connected with the Supreme. I prayed, "Dear god, I have never asked you anything except my sister's happiness. Today I ask you something for myself. Please God, I want to mend everything. Please help me to get my Niharika back. I want to spend my life with her."

I went back to my car and drove off to my house to find my mother waiting for me. She immediately enquired, "Is your job fine? I saw lot much on news about your company."

"Mummy, everything is fine. Also, I wanted to talk to you regarding an important thing." I told my mom as I mentally planned to tell her about Niharika and my desire towards her. 

"Okay, first you change, freshen up and get ready for dinner. I am very hungry. Go and come fast then, we will talk." My mother said smiling towards me. I was indeed, thankful to have such a great mother.

I went to my room and wore a black T-shirt and grey lower. I came back to the dining hall and sat while my mother served us dinner. We both sat and began eating the delicious meal. 

I broke the silence and said, "Mummy, You remember Niharika of my college."

Mummy was bit confused and after stressing on her mind a bit, she said, "Yeah, the one who came at our home once. I wondered why didn't you invite her at Meehika's wedding."

"Mummy, we weren't in good terms so I didn't invite her at my sister's wedding. Listen to me, I have something important about her." I said impatiently.

"Is she working in your office?", my mom asked.

"Mummy, she  is my boss and I am in love with her." I said clarifying everything and scrapping off the suspense. 

My mother was shocked. She almost choked while eating. She sipped a sip of water and asked, "Does she know this?"

I said a meek yes as I nodded my head.

She said seriously, "So what you want?"

I was surprised by this question. I said, "We will date for a while and perhaps, marry." Sternly, I said, "This is not the age of passing time, I suppose."

My mother's eyes displayed anger. She said, "It is not possible. She is a businesswoman. You are just an employee. She is of much higher class than us. This alliance is not possible."

I was astonished at my mother's response. I was not expecting this. I said, "Mummy, we will adjust. We will be together..."

Cutting me off in between, she said, "I will not adjust and not even her parents."

Now I realized that my mother thought that our class difference would be a reason of our incompatiblity because her parents won't agree. I cleared the confusion and said, "Mummy, she lost her parents before joining college. She is indeed, a strong woman. If we marry in future, she will uphold the values of our traditions."I said smiling, "You will like her." .

My mom chuckled. She said, "Okay, okay, lover boy. First you both date and decide. Plus, I realize she needs love. She lost her parents in very young age. Never make her feel that. Okay, I will go and sleep and now. Good night."

My mother went off in her room leaving her dishes in the sink. I finished my meal and promised myself never to make feel lonely ever again. I washed the dishes and went to my room.

Lying down on the bed, I waited for sleep to engulf me bringing good dreams of my love.
