Omaru

(Makoto's PoV)

There were still many hours to go before school ended and we could go back to our dorms. Or wander the city to do something.

Mr. Monokuma was droning on about History and stuff.

Some people were falling asleep (that being Kuwata, Hagakure and Owada).

Ikubasa and Yamada were exchanging something. Looks like some drawing.

Kyoko was reading in a notebook and writing something down.

Maybe it was for a case because I could hear her mutter the word "Alibi"

Fukawa was writing in a notebook as well but she kept glancing up at Togami who was staring at the window.

Enoshima was playing with a strand of her hair while Celeste kept shooting glances at Kyoko.

She caught me looking at her and she glared at me. I looked the other direction.

Ishimaru was the only one paying attention with Maizono trying to pay attention but even she looked bored and sleepy.

Hina kept stealing bites from doughnuts whenever Monokuma wasn't looking.

Ogami was reading a magazine designed as a textbook. At first glance, it seems like she was reading a workout magazine. Guess even though she's the Ultimate Martial Artist, Ogami would still want to be stronger.

I couldn't help but look at the direction where Fujisaki was.

She was also reading something and was jotting things down on her notes.

It doesn't seem like those were history notes. What was those notes?

"Alright. History is done," Mr. Monokuma said, shutting his book loudly causing us to flinch.

"Finally! I thought that would have taken forever," Hagakure stretched.

"Oh we're still not done yet. We got one more subject to go," Mr. Monokuma said.

What?

"It's everyone's favorite subject. Math!" Monokuma cheered.

A lot of people groaned at this.

"How much torture?" Maizono sighed unhappily.

(Two hours later)

Two hours!

Why?!

"How come that took two f*cking hours!" Owada shouted.

"Language! Such vulgar language is not accepted in a school environment!" Ishimaru shouted back.

"Oh shut the f*ck up teacher's pet!" Owada shouted.

I rested my head on the table as a way to not listen to them shout.

Turns out this school has detention and Owada got send there to send after school.

He didn't look that upset about it.

Maybe he was used to this type of thing.

"But seriously. Why did that took two hours?" Ikubasa asked.

"Because some of you were not paying attention to the problem and the solution," Mr. Monokuma pointed out.

"Well he does have a point but that was no reason for two hours to go by," Kyoko explained, shutting her book.

"Well whatever. Go on, you're free," Mr. Monokuma shooed us all away.

I felt my phone buzz and saw that I have received a text message from Komaru.

Chat with EggSister🥚

EggSister

I looked up from my phone.

I wonder what does she have to show me? I wondered.

[Le time skip]

I saw my sister sitting down in one of the tables outside of the cafe. She had a few sketchbooks open.

I walked up to her.

"Oh hey Makoto. Here I wanted to show you this. Give me your opinion on it," Komaru said, noticing me.

She turned the sketchbook around to show me what she was working on.

It was a drawing of a woman running across a building's wall. Sort of like a shouen manga type of thing.

Komaru has been working hard to become an aspiring manga artist so she takes her drawings and ideas very seriously.

She once stayed up until 3 am just drawing. Mom wasn't too happy about it but she did like the drawings and praised her.

Then ground her for a week but she had more time to draw so it worked out for her.

"Hmm. I really like this. What's the plot for this?" I asked.

Komaru sighed, "That's partly why I asked you to come. I need your help with figuring out the plot. I'm out of ideas and I don't want it to be cliche and have stereotypical characters."

"Well maybe the plot can be about something very simple like trying to fit in or a coming of age story and then you put some story elements to it like make the setting in a futuristic world where the world now has flying cars. Or something," I explained.

"Hmm. I like that idea of having the plot be something simple and mixing in different elements," Komaru said, writing down in her notebook.

"But I still got nothing!" She cried.

"Ugh, I think I may need to experiment with different types of genres," Komaru groaned.

"Well you could ask someone who is good at this type of thing. Like a writer," I suggested.

"Do you know anyone like that?" Komaru asked.

I thought about it.

Do I know someone like that?

In the corner of my eye, I spotted dark purple hair.

It was Fukawa.

"Oh hey Fukawa, how's it going?" I asked, coming up to her.

She huffed and turned around to face me.

"Wh-what do you w-want? Are y-you planning on d-doing something n-nasty to me?" She asked.

"No. I just have a bit of a favor to ask you," I said.

"W-well what i-is it? It better n-not be something r-related to smut," Fukawa muttered.

"No it's not that. You're good at coming up with writing ideas for books right?" I asked.

"Wh-who do you take me as!? Of course I am! What a stupid question," she snapped.

"Sorry about that," I apologized.

"Hmmph. Wh-what's this favor do y-you want me to d-do?" Fukawa asked.

"Well my sister wants to become a manga artist but she's stuck with coming with ideas. Can you help her please? In return, I'll help you with one favor that you can ask me. Just try not to make it weird," I asked, placing my hands together in a begging position.

"Your s-sister? Is it that p-plain girl over there with the s-sketchbooks scattered on th-the table?" Fukawa asked.

I nodded and she chewed on her thumb's nail, thinking.

"F-fine I'll do i-it. In return, y-you'll have to help m-me finding my s-soulmate. Or at l-least find out who's M-Master's soulmate," Fukawa said after a while.

"Sure I'll do that. You'll help my sister right? I'll introduce you to her," I said cheerfully.

"Y-yeah whatever," Fukawa grumbled.

We walked over to the table where Komaru was at.

"I found someone who can help you," I said.

"Oh really?" Komaru asked.

"I-I'm Toko Fukawa a-although I doubt y-you'll remember my n-name," Fukawa introduced herself.

"I don't think I will don't worry. I'm Komaru Naegi. Nice to meet you," Komaru stood up and held her hand so Fukawa could shake it.

"N-nice to meet y-you too I-I guess, O-Omaru," Fukawa snickered as she took her hand.

"It's Komaru," Komaru awkwardly chuckled.

Fukawa rolled her eyes.

"I'll be heading back to the school. Text me once you're home," I said.

"Ok Makoto," Komaru said.

I walked back to the school.

In the hallway of the dorms, I saw Fujisaki standing there all by herself. Usually she was around Owada, Kuwata and Kuzuryu but there she was. Alone.

I decided to keep her company for a little while.

"Hey Fujisaki," I said, coming up to her.

"Hmm? Oh hey Naegi," she said.

"What are you doing here all alone?" I asked.

"Well I was just off to get some pastries before I continue on working on a project," Fujisaki explained.

"A project?" I asked.

"Yeah, it's for something important," she replied.

"You do seem pretty busy. Why don't you take a break for a bit? It's no fun if you end up tired while working on your project," I suggested.

"Well...I was just going to take a snack break. Maybe you could join me," she said.

"I-really? I'd loved to," I said.

Fujisaki smiled at me sweetly.

She is really cute, I thought.

We stood there awkwardly with each other before Fujisaki cleared her throat.

"Let's just head out," she said.

"Erm sure," I said, awkwardly.

I remember the conversation with Hina, Kyoko and Ogami.

I don't have a crush on Fujisaki! I just see as her as a classmate. A friend possibly, I thought as we walked to the kitchen.

I should only have feelings for my soulmate. That's how it works...right? I thought.

I could vaguely remember the story that my mom told me about soulmates. I don't remember whether you could have feelings for someone other than your soulmate. I don't think you could.

If I do have a crush on her, does that mean...Fujisaki is possibly my soulmate? I wondered, glancing my pinkie.

I bumped into someone and fell.

"Again you pleb," someone sighed.

I recognize that voice.

Who could forget that snobby 'I'm wealthier than you' voice?

"Sorry Togami, didn't see you there," I apologized.

Togami rolled his eyes and walked away.

"Are you ok Naegi?" Fujisaki asked.

"Yeah I'm fine. Togami is just being himself again," I sighed.

"He's really rude but his family is one of the biggest companies in all of Japan so I suppose his snobbish personality shouldn't be a surprise to be honest," she explained.

"Yeah but we have to endure three years with him," I groaned.

"Hey let's not think about it and just go and have a snack to keep our minds off it," Fujisaki said.

I nodded and Fujisaki held up her hand to help me up.

I took it and we went to the kitchen together.

A/N: I'll be getting into the Naehiro content very soon don't worry about it.

Also the beginning of Tokomaru I see 👀

Poggers!

Hope you enjoy it -Flare
