(Chihiro's PoV)

I stared at them passionately making out.

I thought they hated each other, I thought before clearing my throat to let them know I was there.

They broke apart at this, their faces red.

"Sh*t," Mondo muttered.

Ishimaru coughed before saying, "And I'll see you in class."

He left.

Mondo and I stood there in silence, awkwardly.

After a while...

"Soooooo...that was interesting," I said.

"Can you please keep that to yourself? I don't want the whole school to know that," Mondo pleaded.

"Yeah but I have many questions. Why were you two making out? I thought you two hated each other. The other day, you came barging into my dorm just to rant about him," I asked.

"Look little bro, my feelings are all messed up right now. I kept calling him teacher's pet and a kiss as* and he got pissed off at me. We started to argue and got close to each other. Then I noticed the red string on his finger, he noticed mine. We were so close to each other, then one thing led to another and well...you saw what happened next," Mondo explained.

"So is he your...soulmate?" I asked.

"Apparently so. Why does destiny hate me so much!" Mondo groaned.

"Hey hey, try sorting things out with him. Maybe get to know him a bit better and maybe you two can tolerate each other. Maybe lead into more if you two are soulmates," I said.

"But how?" Mondo asked.

"Maybe ask him to hang out or something. And try not to insult him as much," I explained.

"Hmm, not a bad idea. I'll try talking to him, maybe we'll sort it out," Mondo said.

"Coolpops! So I needed your advice on something but I ended up giving advice to you," I said.

"What do you need help with?" He asked.

"Well today I sort of hanged out with Makoto Naegi from our class. We chatted for a bit and I shown him Alter Ego. When he left I noticed...a red string on his finger and th-then I looked down at mine and saw the string as well. It's possible that Naegi may be my soulmate and I'm hanging out with him tomorrow and I don't know what to do!" I cried out suddenly at the end.

"Whoa whoa whoa. Cool your jets little bro. That's a lot to unpack, give me a second to think," Mondo explained.

I took a couple of deep breaths in and out while Mondo thought about it.

"Hmm here is what you should do. Go and ask his closest friends to see what type of topics that he likes and see if they seem similar to yours. Go and hang out with him and have small talk. Gradually bring up the topic of soulmates. If you want to reveal that you two are soulmates that very day, then go for it. If not then it's fine, you can wait a little longer. Naegi doesn't seem like a bad person at all," Mondo suggested.

"Hmm, seems like a good plan but who should I ask?" I asked.

"Well Naegi always seems to be hanging out with the swimmer chick and the cold detective chick. Maybe ask them," Mondo replied.

"Hmm, I'll go and ask them. Hopefully tomorrow doesn't appear awkward," I said.

"Go for it little bro!" Mondo gave a thumbs up.

I went looking for Asahina and Kirigiri. As Mondo suggested, maybe they can help me.

But where are they?

(Aoi's PoV)

I was sitting outside, eating a doughnut. It was an unusual day but I was buzzing with excitement because I had just met my soulmate.

It was Sakura.

"Hey Hina can I ask you something?" I heard someone behind me asked.

It was Fujisaki.

"Oh heya Fujisaki-chan! How's it going? What's up?" I asked, curious.

"Well this is going to be an awkward question but what does Naegi like?" She asked.

"Huh?" I was confused.

"W-well I'm hanging out with him tomorrow and I don't know what I want to talk about. And I just figured something out," she explained.

I tilted my head.

"Figured what out?" I asked.

"Umm, I can't really do say because I'm still figuring it out or rather I'm processing it," Fujisaki explained.

"I see. Then don't tell me right now. You can tell me when you are ready to share," I said, smiling.

"I- really?" She asked.

"Yep. I don't push," I explained.

"So you wanted to know what Naegi likes? Hmm that's a bit of a hard one. He seems to like a lot of things. But I feel like the things that he likes the most are trendy things and curry," I explained.

"Trendy things and curry?" She asked.

"Yep. One time, Kirigiri, Naegi and I went to a curry house back in middle school. He ate up that curry as if it was nothing. Of course that's not the reason why I remember that memory so fondly. It was to do with a criminal investigation going on at the time. Kirigiri was working overtime so we took her out so she can clear her head for a bit. I'll tell you the story another time. Or better yet, ask Naegi about it," I said.

"Whoa, you really are close you three," Fujisaki noted.

"Well Naegi and I are platonic soulmates. We have been friends for a long time. We became friends with Kirigiri later on," I explained.

"Wow, thanks for sharing," Fujisaki said.

She left.

I smiled to myself.

So those two are hanging out tomorrow. If I had to put my finger on it, I'd say that fate brought them together. Specifically something red and thin did. But guess I'll never know until either of them are comfortable sharing. I can wait, I thought as I stuffed the rest of the doughnut into my mouth.

Yum! These doughnuts are really good!
