The next two days were hectic for Harry. He had to finish every negotiation and deal with all of his business partners. And looking back later, Harry would think that he had done pretty well.

But no matter what happened and no matter how hectic it got, he always managed to be with Louis at least at six o'clock.

"Took you long enough.", was what Louis greeted him with the first day, "I was running out of songs to play."

Harry just grinned at him, "I'm glad you waited."

Louis just rolled his eyes, "Yeah, yeah. So what are we gonna do today, busy business boy."

Harry actually giggled at Louis' alliteration, his dimples digging into his cheeks, "Err... I don't know."

"What?" Louis asked scandalized, "You were the one who wanted time with me. I'm giving it to you. You have to keep me entertained now."

"Umm... well." Harry looked at Louis and saw this amused twinkle in his eyes, not really different from the first day they had met. There was a twinge in Harry's gut, reminding him that he probably won't see that very often anymore, but he pushed that back. He had to, if he wanted to enjoy these last two evenings with this intruguing man. Harry cleared his throat, blushing when he realized that he had been staring at Louis for a little too long. He avoided Louis' eyes and sheepishly suggested, "Well, we could, uuh, maybe go shopping?"

Louis' eyebrows shot up, "Shopping? What are we? Teenage girls?"

Harry blushed but defensively retorted, "There's nothing wrong with acting like teenage girls from time to time. I had many girlfri-, I mean, friends who were girls in school, and university."

Louis grinned, "Of course you have."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Harry furrowed his eyebrows offendedly.

Louis waved him off, "Nothing, nothing." He started to take apart his clarinet, putting it in its case.

"Nooo, tell me." Harry whined, "What is it?"

Louis clicked his tongue, "Really, it's not that interesting Harry. It's just, without meaning to be offending, you're probably the most stereotypical gay person I've ever had the pleasure to meet. I mean, excluding your job, but that doesn't really suit you anyways. And I'm gay myself."

Harry furrowed his eyebrows in consideration, watching Louis close his clarinet case carefully. "Is that bad?"

Louis shook his head, "Gosh, no. I mean, you're not exaggerating it and to be honest, I had a pretty gay phase in high school too. Probably worse than you."

"Really?" Harry's eyes widened in curiousity. Without really perceivng it, the two had started walking mindlessly.

Louis grinned, "Yeah. Wore red and blue jeans and suspenders and talked like those gay guys on You tube." He chuckled at the ridiculousness of it.

Harry eyed him closely from the side, "I would like to have seen it."

Louis laughed harder, "No, you wouldn't."

"I would." Harry insisted. He really would like to have seen Louis in suspenders and ridiculous coloured trousers. Not only did he think Louis would look really attractive and cute, he was that now still, but it was just so different. Now, Louis was always wearing black jeans and tank tops and with his tattoos he gave off this 'bad boy' vibe. It was hard to imagine Louis acting like a typical 'gay boy' instead.

Although, with that arse...

"Oi, my eyes are up here!"

Harry snapped his head up, his eyes widening in slight panic. He hadn't even noticed that they had drifted into forbidden territory for a bit too long. Though, when he caught Louis' eyes, there was this amused, fond twinkle again, making Harry blush.

He cleared his throat, embarrassed, "Sorry."

Louis grinned, "It's quite alright, darling. I appreciate that you appreciate my physique."

Harry's blush intensified and he looked down at his shoes, not really knowing what to say. They walked in silence for a few minutes and Harry was still a bit tense but the side glances he threw at Louis showed him that Louis wasn't at all uncomfortable. He didn't give off any signs of feeling awkward and Harry was relieved.

Louis broke the silence when they rounded a corner and landed on a street leading to a Piazza. "So what are we gonna do? Shopping?"

Harry shrugged, "I mean, if that's okay with you. I haven't gotten the chance to go shopping in Verona at all. I mean, only if you want."

"Yeah, of course, shopping is fine." Louis agreed, grinning wickedly which made Harry wonder what Louis had up his sleeve.

And Harry should have suspected that it wouldn't be a normal shopping tour. It fascinated him always how much of a child had remained in Louis still. He had this curiousity and mischief in his eyes and had a seemingly endless amount of energy, living in the moment and never worrying much about tomorrow.

Harry made sure not to take too long in a shop after Louis had told him about his endless shopping tours with his four younger sisters. That was one of the reasons why Louis wasn't much into shopping.

Despite Harry barely even getting to look at many of the clothes in the shops, it was one of the best shopping trips in Harry's life. Louis was so fun to be around and barely could stay still. They went into every shop they could find. Normal, cheap, extremely cheap, expensive, extremely expensive, unaffordably expensive, second Hand, vintage, a dark scary shop...

And they tried on all types of clothes. Harry didn't think he had ever laughed as hard in his life as he saw Louis wearing a ridiculous Hawaiian shirt together with a colourful pair of shorts. It wasn't the last pair of shorts that Louis had worn and Harry had to really concentrate to not let show how much it turned him on to see his thick thighs and well shaped bum in that tiny, tight piece of clothing.

They also managed to get kicked out of two shops.

The first was for the simple reason that they were in the women section. They were just giggling about a skirt, wondering how anyone could fit into it, much less walk in it, when a strict looking elder woman walked up to them, more or less advising them that they were sojourning in the women section.

"So what?" Harry asked. "Men can wear women clothes too."

She glared at them, "No, they can't."

"They can." Louis argued and started to give a speech about stuff like tolerance and self expression. Harry agreed wholeheartedly but he just couldn't stay serious while Louis acted just over the top and ridiculous and more stereotypical gay than ever. The woman huffed and stomped away in the middle of Louis' lecture.

Granted, with Harry standing beside Louis, trying to suppress his laughter and failing miserably, the whole situation must have seemed unauthentic and hard to take seriously.

So a few minutes later while Louis and Harry were still laughing at the encounter, the elder woman came up to them, accompanied by a younger woman who appeared to be a shop assistent.

"Excuse me gentlemen. I have to kindly ask for you to leave the shop." The shop assistent requested.

"What? Why?" Louis asked indignantly, again acting overly stereotypical gay, his voice a little more high pitched and his hand coming up to his chest like he was offended. Harry slapped a hand over his mouth so his amusement wasn't obvious.

"I was asked to show you the way out. You are making our costumers uncomfortable." The shop assistant explained patiently.

"We are your costumers too." Louis protested, waving his hand around in a 'gay' manner. Harry didn't know if he should laugh or be impressed by how well Louis could act. Or maybe it wasn't that much of an act. The gay was a part of Louis after all.

"I understand that, sir." The woman smiled timidly, a twich of amusement in the corner of her mouth, "But some people are not comfortable with the open minded opinions of this youth. I'm sure someday you can go to any woman section you want. For now, I have to ask you to leave."

"Now what?" Louis' voice got higher with indignation, "You just throw us out?"

Now the elder woman who had obviously complained about them stepped forward, "Does she have to spell it out for you? Leave." Barely audible she added, "Fag."

Louis stepped back in fake hurt, "What did you just call me?" He played it up, of course, adding the tremble like he was close to tears.

Harry was amazed by Louis' acting skills. He took a mental note to ask Louis about it later. For now, Harry decided to step in. He wrapped his arm around Louis' waist and pressed a light kiss on his temple, "Come on, babe. We don't need this. We can look somewhere else."

"Forever 21?" Louis asked timidly, looking up at him through his eyelashes, making Harry's breath hitch shortly before he caught himself again.

"'f course, love. Anything you want." Harry said softly. He loved this moment. The way it felt kind of natural, having Louis in his arms, looking longingly into his eyes and promising him the world. It also made Harry's heart race and his stomach flutter pleasantly.

"Will you leave now?!" A rude, snappy voice snapped them out of their world, making Harry realize that they had probably stared at each other for a bit too long.

Feeling brave and comfortable in his role, Harry stepped closer to the woman, "We will, but don't you dare to ever talk to my boy like this ever again, or to any person at all, got it?"

He took Louis' hand and dragged him out of the shop. Before they could step outside and out of the woman's view completely, Louis glanced back to see her looking at them, half stunned and half glaring with resentment. He smirked, getting an idea to provoke her even more. He tugged on Harry's hand, making him turn to him and before Harry could even register what was happening, Louis' lips were on his.

Harry's eyes widened for a moment, not having expected that but really not complaining. He was quick to flutter his eyes shut and wrap his arms around Louis' waist to pull him closer, melting into the passionate, wet drag of their lips moving against each other.

Much too soon in Harry's opinion, Louis pulled back, keeping his arms around his neck. "We showed her, huh?"

"Hmm..." Harry hummed, still dazed from the kiss and Louis' proximity.

Louis grinned, "Race ya to New Yorker."

With that he slipped away and started to run, leaving Harry with empty arms and missing his warmth.

Harry figured their happiness and mischief was to be blamed that they were thrown out of New Yorker for Harry chasing Louis through the shop and knocking over a few hall stands.

Harry didn't regret it at all.

In the evening, when the sun had mostly disappeared to shine on another part of this world, they walked through the illuminated streets of Verona, holding hands, but they didn't talk about it. About what this was, what they were doing, what it meant. But it felt right.

Harry looked at Louis, watching the way his eyes twinkled and the way the light shone onto his beautiful features, the way he seemed calm and happy. And Harry was sure he wasn't the only one feeling it.

Harry noticed Louis' eyes lingering on a jacket on exhibition in a shop window. Harry nudged him, "Do you want that?"

Louis turned to him and laughed, "No, it's far too expensive."

Harry perked up, "How much? I can buy it for you. Money really isn't a problem for me."

Louis laughed, "No way in hell. I'm not gonna let you buy a super expensive jacket for me. I'm not some charity case."

Harry frowned, "No, that's not what I meant."

"I know." Louis sighed, then smiled at him, "It's okay, just... leave it."

Harry nodded.

However, he planned to buy it tomorrow before work. He would give it to Louis before he went back to London, hoping Louis wouldn't forget about him.

Little did he know that it would come completely different...
