The truth
She grabbed my arm and pulled me in. "It's easy. Just close your eyes and focuse on a pack. It's as simple as that ," she said positioning me perfectly in the center of the circle. As she left the circle, I closed my eyes and I rush came over me. The sent of lavender came so strong from the east of me. "East," I said giving them direction.
"How far to the east?" Koda said.
the number three came to mind. "Three."
"what next?" Meshia asked.
I had to think hard until it came in a heavy rush, "Two north and one west. After that we're there." I had not noticed until now that Meshia had brought paper and was wright it all down. After she finished, we headed off.
It took awhile but it was pretty fun. We should have brought food and water but we found a stream halfway through the hike which Koda was very grateful for. Our hike was very beautiful. We saw deer and birds. By the end if this adventure, it was maybe six o'clock. My sent had brought us to a campfire by the end of the stream we saw halfway. It was perfect.
when we approached, the Pack heard us. "who's there! We demand to know!" We heard a voice call out. It was too dark to see their figure.
A second voice followed, "What's going on Len?" He started to approach with a torch.
"We mean no harm, "Koda spoke.
Len began again, "Some Prymods, chief."
By now, the chief was close enough to Len that I could see him. The chief looked like a mix between me and Dakoda but older. Len was bald and both of them wore basic leather clothing. "We are just two mangel and one absal. Please, sir, we need to talk," I spoke, trying to be polite.
"Stand down Len." He walked strait up to us. The chief stared me right in the eyes and said, "You look familiar. Who are you?"
His shaggy black reminded me of the hoodies man who had warne me about I.M.C. as a kid. "My name is Kagè but I went by Callahan as a child. This is my little brother, Dakoda and this is our comrade, Meshia."
The chief seemed to be thinking even harder. "Callahan, what is your father's name?"
"Never knew him," I said so bluntly that it was painful.
"Your mother?" He bounced back, even more intrigued.
"Her name? Her name is Amber Hext."
"Do you know me?"
"Were you the one who warned me about the I.M.C. as a kid?"
He smiled, "yes. But Dakoda, Kagè," he switched glances between us and then enveloped both of us into a hug. "I am your father."
