The figure in the cage right next to me started to move. Sounds of muffled mumbles started to fill the room. Without a notice the voice began to yell, "This is my cage! You don't belong here! I will kill you!" The voice was cracked and I don't think it had done much talking.
    "Who are you?" Dakoda had said.
    "Your worst nightmare," the voice was female and she didn't sound sarcastic. If she ever got ahold of us, we would be dead meat. She glanced over as light made her visible. She had floppy brown ears and a pink bow in her mangy chocolate hair. " The name is Sadie." I was now extremely scared of her.
    The next morning, Meshia came. She didn't dare look at us. She was probably afraid to cry again. She slip a plate of eggs and sausage scraps from the other members' breakfast. I saw a tear in her eye as she bolted out of the room. On her way out, the keys fell out of her pocket and on the floor directly in front of Sadie. She reached out, and like a savage, clawed and shouted as she went for the keys. Her mission had been succesful and she unlocked her cage. We stood in shock. We didn't know what she was going to do. She had all the power she needed.
    Once she was free, she swung the bars open. She was a lot shorter than I had picture. I could now guess her age more accurate too. She seemed somewhere between twelve and sixteen. Her tail was also visible now. It was shorter that Dakoda's. Sadie was definitely a mangel. She surely acting like how Meshia had described. She got up and stole both of our plates and ate all of our food. "I have to torture you before I can hurt you. I want to make you as easy to get as possible." I could hear Koda sniff in sadness. He has always been tough in the gang, but this situation was different. We weren't within our gang boundaries anymore. We were in the real world. There is no safety in this world and he wasn't ready for the world's torture.
    We went days without eating. Anytime they would come to give us food, Sadie would pretend she was locked up until they left and then she would strike. she threatened to kill us if we did anything she didn't like and I didn't doubt it. After a week, the circus crew found the key after Sadie had left it out one night. After finding the keys, the ring master sent for us boys.
    When we went down to where Meshia had told us to go when telling us of the request, we found a humongous tent with at least fifty people practicing performances. We could point out the ring master because he was sitting down in a tall chair at the end of the tent doing nothing productive unlike the rest in the tent. We headed over and stood in front of him. His brown bread was full of sweat and his bald head shimmered for the same reason. After a moment, he noticed us and brought his head down to stare into our eyes. "What can you do?"
    I wanted to say, "well, sir, I'm literally being starved to death and stick walked here without falling down. I think that should count for something." I tried holding my tongue to save us from more trouble and pain.
     Thankfully Koda broke in, "we've survived on the streets and we are pretty dexterous and agile."
    "Good." He thought for a use for us. "Can you walk on a tightrope, juggle, do tricks, tame animals? What can you do?"
    "I could pickpocket the crowd," I wanted to say. We had never actually pick-pocketed any one unless they were part of our gang and it was a joke. They had thought it to us in case of an emergency.
    Time passed and he found us a job. We would be wolf tamers. We were more respected and after a few performances, we were the new hot thing. The only bad thing was that we still had to sleep with Sadie. Since they found the key, she was contained and we were safer.
    one night, a few weeks after becoming famous, we could here her mumbling."You will die. You will die." she wouldn't stop talking and that was all she would say. Finally, she got so loud we started to get scared. She turned to us and laughed. We hadn't noticed until now that she had been digging a hole. I had gotten big enough over the weeks and she crawled out. " You will die!" she screamed fully out of the cage. I felt like I was in a murder movie and I was going to die. She hurdled toward my cage and grabbed my neck. I screamed so loud my ears when silent. Dakoda was crying and started to yell in fear, "Help! Help! Someone, please!"
    I started to cry and lost my vision. All I saw was a blur of Dakoda's faced. The ring leader ran in, "what in the world is..." He saw Sadie laughing her head off as mine was literally about to fall off. He ran in, shoved Sadie to the ground, and pinned her down. He grabbed one of our empty, metal dinner plates and smashed it against her head as she fell unconscious.
