When I first met him I didn't know what was happening. My name is Kate and I'm trapped in this living nightmare. I'm not much older then 19 and he was no more then 23. I was scared when he found me, scared and hurt. I was attacked by what he called a "Tank" and I was hidding in a house. He was from the south I could tell but his voice. He was really sweet and kind even after his friends where killed. He never had to say that he felt bad I could just tell. He told me his name was Ellis and all of the friends where killed when the chopper went down. He was the only one who made it out alive. Nick was the last to die he asked Ellis to shot him. So Ellis shot the 35 year old man at his wish.

"Kate?" Ellis pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Why did you come with me?" He asked.

"Because I was scared and you seemed kind and I didnt want to stay in that any longer. I thought that thing would come back for me." I said.

"Well I'm glad your here." He laughed.

"How close where you to the other three people?" I asked randomly.

"Please lets not talk about them." Ellis said.

"I'm sorry Ellis." I sighed.

"No I'm sorry I shouldn't have snapped at you." He half sobbed. "They were all I had left."

"I'm so sorry." I looked away.

"Would you ever go out with a Hick like me?" He asked randomly.

"Are you asking me out?" I asked in shock.

"I guess I am." Ellis looked sad.

"I'd go out with you only with you'd go out with me." I smiled.

"I would love that." He smiled. I stood up to kiss him and he kissed me back. I hugged him and put my face into his chest. Things should be okay from now on. I have the person I love right here and I would always have him.
