chapter 2

I woke up with a groan, I have a killer headache, I finally open my eyes only to realise this is not my room.

Everything came rushing to me at once. Coming back home, the pain coming from Elena and the masked man kidnapping me. I tried to slow my heart down, I couldn't have another personality take over. Once calm I looked around the room. I found myself in a huge, dusty room that had boards covering windows and I couch I was lying on. I then noticed a sleeping body.

"Elena!" I said in a hushed tone, checking her pulse and relieved when I found one. I began shaking her sleeping body, but she remained unconscious. I noticed there was blood on her shirt and quickly checked under it to find there wasn't even a scratch.

What do they want with us? Is Elena messed up with something bad while I was gone? Why did they kidnap us? Why does this always happen to me? I kept asking myself while trying to wake Elena up.

"Elena, please!" I begged, feeling tears welling up. God, I hated crying, but I couldn't help it right now.

"You okay there?"

I jumped, looking over to see a man watching me from the door.

"Who the hell are you?" I questioned, my voice shaky as I kept our gazes locked, trying to show that I was not backing down.

"Trevor's the name," He introduced himself, then gestured to Elena. "So you two are twins?"

"Yes." Was all I said.

"I didn't know that a doppelganger could have a twin, it makes things complicated" he says, I was about to ask what he was talking about but I heard Elena start to wake. The time I looked back up at the guy he was gone.

"Elena your okay" I said hugging my sister.

"Rosalie... are you okay, you are Rosalie?" She asks

"Yes it's me, you don't know how hard it is for me to stay calm, I wasn't sure if you would wake up" I say almost on the verge of tears.

"I'm fine, everything will be ok" she says

"How do you no that? What do they want with us?" I ask.

Elena stood, pulling me to my feet. "We're going to figure that out."

"I think we should wait here instead." I murmured, not caring to run into whomever was out there. We slowly and quietly made our way up the stairs, in just enough time to hear a part of our captors' conversation.

"So that's it, Trevor," the woman said. "He either got it or he didn't. We just have to wait."

"Look, it's not too late. We can leave it here. We don't have to go through with it," Trevor said.

"I'm sick of running!" They continued to walk, listening to their captors argue.

"Yeah? Well, running keeps us from dying," the man retorted.

So we're some sort of free ticket? I thought to herself.

"Elijah's old school. If he accepts our deal, we're free," the woman replied. I accidently made one of the boards squeak under my feet. The woman's head shot over to me and elena.

"You two!" She used her inhuman speed to appear in front of us in only a second. I jumped in the air, a small sound escaping my lips.

"There's nothing around here for miles. If you think you're getting out of this house, you're tragically wrong. Understood?"

"C-completely," i immediately agreed, my survival instincts kicking in.

"Who's Elijah?" Elena asked, curiosity getting the best of her.

"Your worst nightmare," She answered before walking away.

Elena brought me back to the room we were in before. "Stay here, okay? I want you to stay in here while I go figure something out," Elena said.

"No, don't be stupid, Elena. That woman crossed the room in less than a second. You're going to get yourself killed," I said, grabbing my sister's wrist and pulling her back.

"I'll be fine, Rosalie. Just please stay in here and keep calm, I don't want to deal with Lucy or Daniel" Elena left the room.

'That's easier said then done how am I supposed to keep calm in this situation.' I thought to myself and took a seat back on the couch.

"Is your sister always this nosey" I jumped at the sudden voice and saw the guy named Trevor leaning against the door.

"Ah yeah to the point where it's really annoying" I say. I noticed he was avoiding the  the sun light coming through the Windows. "What… What are you? If you don't mind me asking?" I asked. Me and Elena's captors couldn't be human, not with the way the other one had darted across the room.

"You seriously don't know?" He asked, looking at me. I shook my head. He cracked a smile, turning his head away for a moment before looking back. I jumped back as his eyes turned black and they had veins under his eyes, and two fangs pointing out from his mouth.

'No it can't be... h-he can't be a vampire. How do they even exist?' I thought to myself.

A sudden pain came to my head. I shout out in pain.

"ROSE GET IN HERE, SOMETHING'S WRONG WITH THE OTHER DOPPELGAGGER" yelled Trevor. Rose used her inhuman speed and was beside Trevor in a second.

"What did you" Rose yelled back at Trevor.

"Well she didn't no what we were so I showed her" Trevor says it like it wasn't a big deal. "I didn't think she would react like this"

"Rosalie" Elena yelled at me. She kneels down and whispers to me to calm down. About a minute later I've calmed down.

"Sorry about that" I said. Thanks to Elena, Daniel or Lucy didn't take over my body.

"What was that, surely you weren't scared that bad" The women Rose asked.

"No... I mean sure I was scared but that wasn't the reason for what just happened" I said.

"Shes sick that's all she hasn't taken her medication" says Elena which was a lie, I don't take medication nor is having DID* a sickness.

"So what vampires are real?" I ask, not really sure if I want the answer.

"Oh very real" said Trevor

"As well as werewolves and witches" Rose finished

"You got to be kidding me, I no mum and dad told us stories but they can't be real" I say

"Oh very real, how do you explain what you just saw" said Trevor. Which was true how can I explain that, it happened right in front of me.

"I want to no more, about Elijah and whatever other things you know" Elena demanded.

"Captivity has made her pushy, eh?" Trevor looked at Elena. "What do you want to know, doppelicious?"

"Who were you running from?" Elena asks.

"The Originals."

"Yeah, she said that," Elena said, a tad impatient. "What does that mean?"

"The first family, the old world," Trevor said, moving to another window. "Rose and I pissed them off."

"Mm-mm," Rose shook her head.

"Correction, I pissed them off, Rose had my back, and for over half a millennium they've wanted us dead."

"What did you do, Trevor?" I asked.

"He made the same mistakes countless others did: he trusted Katerina Petrova," Rose said.

"Katherine," Elena realized.

"Who?" I questioned. Who was Katherine?

"The one and only, the first Petrova doppelganger," Rose said.

"I helped her escape her fate and now I've, sorry, we've been marked since," Trevor said.

"Which is why we're not going to make the same mistake again." Said Rose looking at Trevor. They both left, leaving me and Elena to our selfs. Elena sat down beside me.

"You knew what they were, didn't you? You knew about... vampires existing, didn't you?" I looked over at Elena, the hurt showing in her eyes.

"Rosalie—"

"Why didn't you tell me, I tell you everything, I thought you did too" I say upset.

"I am so sorry I didn't tell you before, Rosalie, I was trying to protect you," Elena tried explaining.

"I don't want your explanations right now, Elena, I just want to go home," i said wearily, rubbing my temples.

"I know, we will. I promise." Elena says, trying to comfort me.

Right then, Elena noticed a random wrinkled up piece of paper. She opened it up and showed me i read it over her shoulder.

Stefan and Damon are coming for you both - B

"Who are Stefan and Damon and B?" I asked I was so confused.

"Friends of mine and B is Bonnie who you no" Elena said

"But how did that end up here?" I ask, this is all to weird.

"I'll explain everything later" was all Elena said.

Just then we heard someone coming, Elena quickly hid the note.

Rose walked in and eyed us both suspiciously.

"He's here!"
