John's POV

Warm tears stung my eyes and stained my cheeks as I slid my back down the door. My knees tucked into my chest and my arms wrapped around my trembling figure.

"I love you" I softly sobbed as my head leaned back on the door to Alex and I's dorm. "I love you Alex" I got no response, I heard quiet sobs now and then through the door and shuffling but never anything else. I sat there like that, thinking for 2 hours until I drifted off into sleep.

Alex's POV

"I love you. I love you Alex" John sobbed through the door. I leaned against the door just thinking.

"I love you too" I whispered, barely audible.

A few hours later I open the door to see John bundled up in a ball outside the door in the hallway.

"Oh baby" I pout. It's the start of December and he's out In the college hallways with no blanket or pillow.

Even though I'm just a little bit taller than John and the closest to exercise I ever get is my typing, I manage to pick John up and tuck him into his bed.

"I love you" I kiss his forehead

"I love you too" startled by his reply my breath hitches.

"Baby?" He asks.

"Mhm?" I reply, tears forming in my eyes as I think about the memories.

"Sleep with me?"

"Anytime you want" I smiled.

He snakes his comforting arms around my waist.

"This ok?"

"Only if it's you" I replied, smiling. I really do love him.

He snuggles his head into my chest and I drifts off to sleep.

Peggy's POV

"You think he'll like it?" I ask.

"It's a fricking soft toy of a lion hugging a turtle, he'll love it" Eliza rubbed my head with her knuckles. I pouted, trying to put my bun back in place.

"How far into the internet did you have to go to get that?" Angelica laughed staring at the plushy.

"Real deep." I confessed.

I opened Alex's dorm expecting him to be a mess after what happened.

"Alex, honey" I said, before I noticed Alex and John were both asleep in bed cuddling.

"Some things never change" Angelica smiled.

"Will I ever have what they have?" Eliza pouted.

"No one will and has ever had, what they have" I loved my best friends and I loved them even more because of how they loved each other.

I placed the soft toy with the note and chocolates on their bedside table and kissed them both on the forehead before taking a quick photo and softly closing the door.

I want what they have so badly, I already cuddle John and Alex like that but I want someone to kiss on the lips and hold like that who isn't just one of my best friends.

I'm going to ask Maria out.

John's POV

I groggily open my eyes, immediately blinded by the sun, groaning.

"Hey baby girl, how you feeling!" Alex inquires, pulling off his shirt. "Better now " I smirk.

"Someone needs to put the words of Christ down your throat. I'm taking a shower not doing the dirty" he chuckled.

"I'd rather something else down my throat" I mumbled before Alex swatted me with his shirt.

"Get yourself some holy water" he screamed from the bathroom.

"Or maybe some other form of liquid?"

"OHMYJESUS" I heard him scream.

"are you ok!?" I ran into the bathroom.

"I'm fine, you're just so fucking immature" he laughed

"Noiiiice" I say looking up and down his body jokingly.

Alex's cheeks flush, as he pulls back the curtain. "I hATE YOU" he tries to sound angry but can only laugh.

"Not the first time I've seen your dick"

Lafayette barges through the door.

"WE CAN HEAR YOU"

"And I can see you" I laughed

"Of course you can. I'm right here what the frick?" He gestures to his body.

"No, I mean, I can see you" I cringe, looking away, almost gagging.

Lafayette looks down and screams.

"HERCULES WHY DID YOU NOT TELL ME I WAS NAKED" Lafayette screamed storming back into his dorm.

"I wanted to see what happened" Hercules smirked poking his head through the door as Alex walked out of our bathroom with only a towel around his waist.

"Holy crap" I muttered staring at him (A/N lmao the word count was 699 when I started this paragraph)

"You don't leave much to the imagination do you? Which I don't mind if I'm honest"

"You literally saw me naked like a minute ago"

"DAYUUUUUUUM" Hercules and Lafayette screamed from their dorm.

"SHUT UP YOU FOUR" Peggy screamed, Peggy, theodosia and Maria were on the dorm on the right while Lafayette and Hercules were on the left .

"Why were you naked anyway Lafayette?" Alex asked drying his hair.

Lafayette was about to answer before Hercules pulled him back into the dorm.

"EWWWWWWW" Peggy, Theodosia, Maria, Alex and I screamed. The girls poking their heads through the door to our dorm while Alex and I slammed the door to Hercules and Lafayette's that connected to ours.

"Damn" Maria smirked at Alex who instantly ran back into the bathroom, uncomfortably. I glared at her and noticed the the sad look on Peggy's face.

"Get out please" I heard Alex mumble through the bathroom door.

"Whatever you say hottie" Maria winked and glared at me.

"Shut up" I could practically hear Alex's glare.

"I think I'm gonna stay here for a bit" Peggy pulled on a fake smile.

The rest of the girls and Lafayette and Hercules left back to their dorms while.

"Peggy what's up? Is it Maria?" Alex asked sitting next to her after getting changed.

"She likes you"

"I don't like her you have nothing to worry about" I looked into his eyes and at his face just for safety, to tell wether he was lying or not. No signs of lying at all and I trust him enough.

"She doesn't like me though"

"I think she does" I say, twirling her hair. What? It's soft.

"Ask her out!" Alex lifted Peggy to her feet and twirled her around the room, it always made her smile and laugh when Alex did that.

"C'mon pegs, like you always say-"

"Smooth operator hot damn there she goes, yo bro take 5, take a walk outside, don't act exhausted or lost don't let life slide we're all struggling and times are tight and don't get stuck in a corner like a street light! DON'T LET LIFE SLIDE !" we all sang, Peggy used to sing this to me all the time as a kid and she sings it to Alex every time he's struggling. (A/N yes I had to change up the lyrics btw)

"Ok fine, you have to wait outside the door for me"

"Of course, we'll be there when you ask anyone out wether you like it or not." Alex giggled and I nodded smiling.

"OK! We've got no time to waste! Let's go!" She pulled us along just like the first time I met Alex.

Peggy's POV

I open the dorm door and wink at Theodosia, she knows I like Maria, we're pretty close friends but no one will ever be as close friends with me than Alex and John are"

Theo winks back and gives me a thumbs up.

"Hey Maria, pegs, I'm gonna go see Aaron, I'll be back in a few" she smiles. I know she's definitely just going to wait outside with John and Alex.

"Maria, would you like to.... go out? With?? Me?? Maybe, you don't have to I mean, of course you know that but like-"

"Yes"

"Anyway sorry that was silly so "

"Yeah I'll go out with you."

"Really?"

"Yes" she smiled.

"Ok well, um, great. I will see you soon then bye"

I walked out the door instantly greeted by high fives and cheering.

"Let's go get some coffee" I smile.

"I've gotta go see Aaron for real though but have fun!" Theo smiles, walking off in the opposite direction.

Alex's POV

"It's nice to have you back John" Peggy smiled, sipping her hot chocolate.

"Nice to be back" John smiled. He was literally holding his cup to his face to heat his cheeks up.

"Where did you even go for those whole 2 months?" I asked.

His smile fell. "An old friends' house. Martha Manning"

Peggy spat out her hot chocolate and started coughing.

"MARTHA MANNING!? JOHN WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!?" Peggy shrieked. The cafe went silent for a bit and stared at her.

"Well you're an idiot" the waitress giggled, dropping off our scones.

"Seriously Sally!?" John grumbled. "yes I know it was a mistake I can explain it though" he groaned.

"Sally?"

"Peggy!" Sally smiled.

"What's happening why am I so left ouuut" I chuckle.

"Oh! Alex, meet one of my real childhood friends" John laughed.

"I didn't know you guys were friends!" Peggy smiled.

"I didn't know you two were either to be fair" John smiled.

"Well, we just met about 2 months ago, the day you left off to Martha fucking mannings' place" Sally glared again.

"Ok what is up with this Martha?" I asked.

"She had the biggest crush on John" Sally rolled her eyes. "Didn't know why you hung out with that girl, she was a bitch"

"Well I went to hers and the morning I came back, she tried to...you know..."

My smile faded. I trusted John didn't do anything. Although I had complete faith in John and it would be stupid for me to be upset because he's gay it upset me that someone would try to... do that to him.

"You didn't consent to it right?" I asked.

"God no, I'm gay for a reason" John said, earning glares from both Peggy and Sally.

"You know what I meant" he took a sip from his back coffee.

"Did she hurt you?" I asked, concern settling in my eyes.

"No, she tried to stop me from leaving and squeezed my butt, but nothing else. I still want to stab her though.

"No more than me" I mumbled.

"Well I have to go, I do have a job and all but do keep away from her please. I'll make sure to contact you immediately if I see her around, you guys do the same" Sally said, looking at Peggy and I.

After we finished our coffees, we all went for a walk.

"Hey guys, I'll leave you two to chat about.... you know, these past 2 months. John and I are all good but I think it would be good for you two to talk it out. I have an essay due tomorrow anyway and I've only finished thirty of the two pages" I smiled.

"I love you, goofball." John said, kissing me on the lips.

"Love you more"

"Bye pegs"

"See you in a few Lexi!" She smiled.

I walked back into the dorm hallways, hands in my pockets. I was thinking about John, I couldn't stop, I rarely ever did. I would risk everything for that boy." I smiled at all the memories, in a few weeks it would be our one year anniversary, January 8th, but first it's Christmas. (A/N I'm selfish and decided to make their anniversary my birthday shhhh)

I pulled out the key to my dorm, unlocking it, too see John and I's dorm, destroyed. My bed, which was usually always neat considering I slept with John in his own double bed, was on it's side, my papers scattered everywhere, our mirror broken, drawers on the ground, clothes scattered and worst of all, the door to Laf and Herc's dorm connecting to ours was on the floor.

"What the fu-" I felt a strong grip tighten around my neck, my body being slammed into the wall next to the door.

"Alexander Hamilton....So you're the fag who's been at it with my son?"

I tried to scream for John, the grip only loosening after feeling a punch to my stomach and my limp body drop to the ground.

"I would tell you to back off from him, but that won't make anything better for him and him leaving you, won't make it any better for you" he picked up my body, the last thing I heard was glass shattering and all I felt was the wind up against me.
