Alexander's POV:

I scanned my map of Kings College university, trying to find my dorms. Suddenly I crashed into someone and my body fell onto the wooden floors with a thud.

"Oh my god I am so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going and I can't find my dorm so and well I'm trying to look for them but I'm new here and-" I rambled, only to be cut off by a sweet feminine voice.

"It's all good, sorry on my part, let me help you" she knelt down to eye level where I could see her face, as she helped me pick up my papers and books I held in my arms, because they refused to fit in my worn out backpack or tiny suitcase. Her skin was a darker tan colour, she had a darker shade of brown hair, some of her hair was separated into two buns on either side of her head and the rest of her hair was loose and bopped up and down as she moved, the waves each entangling themselves in each other. She wore black shorts and a yellow and black checkered jumper wrapped around her waist, a yellow, sleeveless, turtle neck with the batman symbol, clung to her body, accompanied by a black choker, some golden Adidas shoes. She wore no make up and her smile was bright and a welcoming one, I had rarely ever seen someone smile as wide as she did, yet she had a sense of sadness in her eyes that I couldn't stop worrying about

"My name's Peggy Schuyler, you?"

"Alexander Hamilton, you can call me Alex though"

"Great! I remember you saying something about needing to find your dorm? I can help you if you want!"

"That would be very much appreciated"
Peggy grabbed me by the wrist, but not in a rough way, it made me feel at ease somehow.

"You're in room 1782! (A/N yikes if any of you get why that's triggering congratulations ) That's the same dorm as my best friend, John Laurens. You'll absolutely love him."

We walked down the halls, the wooden floor creaking at different moments and the sun accentuating the glossiness of the white walls. Before I knew it, Peggy had pushed open the door to 1782.

"TURTLE BOY COME OUT, YOUR NEW DORMMATE IS HERE" Peggy screamed. I giggled at the name.

I wonder why they call him that.

"You'll get why we call him that very soon" she said like she had read my mind.
I scanned the room, it was pretty big, a rectangular shape with 2 double beds placed next to each other on the right side, the only distance between the beds was a bedside table. There were 2 desks, one on the right side of the bed on the right and one on the left side of the bed on the left. There were 2 closets each on the opposite side of the room and There was a ginormous window on the far side of the room.

A head popped out from inside the door on the far left side of the room. It was a safe assumption it connected to the dorm next to it.
One by one, three heads popped out from the side of the door in a vertical manner, until the person on top fell, crashing the two other boys onto the floor. Many groans and mumbles of "HERCULESSSSSS" were heard after.

"PEGGY!" The boy piled under the other two screamed in excitement, a sudden burst of strength given to him as he popped out from under the pile of boys only to end up wrapping his legs around Peggy's waist and Peggy's arms around his.

"Awe you're such a cute couple" I said
Peggy stared at me as she dropped the brown haired boy onto the floor. My eyes went wide.

Had I said something wrong?

Everyone in the room burst out in fits of laughter.

A man with the a tan skin tone and black locks of hair tied up into a low pony tail screamed;

"HAHA A COUPLE!? THAT'S THE FUNNIEST THING I'VE EVER HEARD"

The dark skinned man on top of him, wearing a blue bandanna around his forehead, was laughing an extreme amount, but not nearly as much as Peggy and the brown haired boy were.

After a few minutes the laugher died down. "We're both gay, Laurens especially" she motioned to the boy she had previously dropped onto the ground and started laughing again. The brown haired boy nudged her in the knee and shot her a warning glare, not too harsh though, a beautiful face like his didn't seem capable of looking angry.

"Oh I'm so sorry, but really, you guys are best friend goals" I said, laughter escaping my smiling lips.

"Thanks beautiful boy" John smirked, winking.

The sound of "oOooOoOoOoOOoOh" was heard throughout the room, immediately. My face turned a crimson red colour. "Well I'm bisexual" I said. John Laurens suddenly looked like he had a sprinkle of hope in his eyes. God knows why, but it was adorable.

"Oh gosh we haven't introduced ourselves yet! Peggy exclaimed, grabbing mine and Laurens hands and pushing us onto the bed on the far side of the large dorm. I landed with my left shoulder on top of him before getting up and awkwardly sitting next to him. His face turned the brightest shade of red and his eyelids fluttered. God, he was adorable. Peggy sat on my left with her arm around my shoulders, something about Peggy was so comforting. Her and John just had those personalities that make you want to hug them, like they understood pain people went through and all they wanted to do was make sure other people didn't go through the pain, I noticed this because they both had that sparkle of sadness in their eyes, but they both also had a smile that was too real for it not to be. I loved them already. I wrapped my right arm around John's shoulders and nestled my head into Peggy's shoulder. She immediately kissed the top of my head while John rested his head slightly on my chest. I felt at home.

"I'm John Laurens and I guess now, this is our place to be" John said, he was smiling up at me, his eyes gleaming. "This is lafayette" he said, motioning to the boy sitting on the bed opposite us. John, Peggy and I were sitting on the side of the bed on the left and Lafayette and the bandanna boy on the bed opposite. "And This is h-" John continued, only to be interrupted by bandanna boy screaming "HERCULES MULLIGAN" we all giggled slightly.

"Well I'm Alexander Hamilton, lovely to meet you all, you can just call me Alex though" I sad, playing with my fingers, it was a habit I had developed when I was ever nervous.

I felt warm eyes burn into the side of my head, I turned to see Laurens staring at me with a friendly smirk and a happiness in his eyes. I smiled back.

I think I'm going to love it here
