Chapter 16
Hey peoples! I haven't posted in a couple of weeks (I think) so here you go. I have a new story, A Tailor's Apprentice, (dedicated to my friend). So if you wanna check it out, that would be cool :) Also THATNKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU for over 800 views!!!!
You and John walk walk quietly, hand in hand, until you reached the bar. You nervously pushed open the big, double doors. You stared in confusion when you found no one there. No drunk Mulligan. No screaming French man. No overly-passionate orphan from the Caribbean (well, besides you anyway)
"Huh. They must've left." John said coming up behind you. "Well no duh, Laurens." You replied sarcastically. He pretends to look hurt. "I thought you were joking when you said you would call me Laurens for the rest of my life. i thought you would only call me that like once then be done."
"I don't joke when I'm serious...... Laurens." you smiled evilly. "Okay, lets go find them."
You walk down the streets silently scanning the people you passed. They seemed to have disappeared. That is until you got into town. You heard people singing and shouting. A huge crowd surrounded what seemed to be the singers. The rabble of people would chant 'Work' every once in a while the big cheese singers took over the rest.
Out of the corner of you eye, you see John face palm. "What? What is it?" You asked curiously. "The Schuyler sisters." He chuckled.
"The who now?"
"The Schuyler sisters. Angelica, Eliza, and Peggy. They're the daughters of the rich Philip Schuyler. We used to live next door to them. I was best friends with the middle one, Eliza, but when I moved out, I never really saw her much." John explained.
"Well then, Laurens, what are you waiting for? go say hello!" You pushed him right through the crowd. Everyone was clapping, so you suspected that the song was over. As the crowd faded, you saw three women in front of you. A tall one with really good hair, wearing a pink dress. One with a blue dress, who you thought had to be Eliza. Then there was the small one. She wore a yellow dress and had a huge smile on her face from all of the attention she had just gotten.
You cleared your throat. "Um. Excuse me!" The three sisters turned towards you/ You pushed John a little closer to them. "Hey!" He said. The girls just stared for a second, until the middle one got a spark of recognition in her eyes.
"John? Is that you?" She asked hesitantly. "No, this is Laurens." You joked as John glared at you.
"Yup, Eliza. It's me." He said. Immediately, she ran towards him and hugged him tightly. "I thought I was never going to see you again ol' pal." She laughed. "I missed you too." John said as he hugged her back.
"Well if it isn't John Laurens," The older one, in a pink dress said. "Long time no see." John turned away from Eliza."Hey Angie! Hello to you too, Queen Peggy." He said jokingly, as he bowed. The older one, who John had called Angie rolled her eyes, while 'Queen Peggy" laughed.
"Oh come on!" Angie, who must be short for Angelica said. "We haven't played that since we were kids!"
You smiled at their playful manner. "Oh, John, who's this?" Peggy elbowed him teasingly. "Ooooh, do you finally have a girlfriend?" Eliza joined in with the teasing. John flushed.
"Schuylers, this is Y/n." John said very quickly, trying to change the conversation. "Y/n, this is Angelica, Eliza, and Peggy."
You waved as they all shook your hand. "So, what brings you two here?" Angelica asked. You suddenly remembered your friends. "We were looking for our friends and my brother, Alexander Hamilton. Have you seen them?" Eliza seemed to turn a little red. "We've heard of Alexander before." Peggy exclaimed. "In fact, Eliza-" She was cut off by her sister's hand over her mouth.
"What!?!?" Peggy tried to look innocent. "I wasn't gonna tell them that you like him." Eliza face palmed and Peggy laughed. "So you like my brother?" You asked. "Um.. well... I.. uhhh... Yeah." she stuttered.
"Well, I don't blame you. If he wasn't my brother, I would probably like him too." You said jokingly, looking at John. He gave you a gentle shove, trying to look like he was glaring at you. You just laugh at his struggle to try to look mad.
"I guess we should go try to find them." You said. "Yeah. We should hang out some more though." Angelica said. "You know what. Why don't we help you find your friends and brother." Eliza suggested.
"That would help a lot." You said. "Well we couldn't find them anywhere with just the two of us." John said. "So we could use some help, but where could they be?" Almost as if to answer his question. You heard some shouting in the distance. Two voices fighting. One sounded exactly like your brother's"
