I quickly ran to the office, shouting for help. The principle stopped me. "What's wrong dear?" She asked, worry in her eyes. "Two bullies hurt a girl here. I had to defend her. Please help!" I grabbed her sleeve and led her to the girl. She was curled up on the concrete crying. A nurse rushed out behind us and examined the girl. "She just has a few scrapes on her knees." The nurse reported. She wrapped the girl's knees and patted her back reassuringly. "By the way, your mother called and said you had to walk home today." The nurse added. "Hey, uh, I could walk her home. I'm walking also." I piped up. The principle and nurse nodded. "I'll take care of those bullies." The principle announced, marching away to find them. I helped the young girl up and we started walking. "What's your name?" I asked kindly. She looked at me shyly. "C- Chica." She stuttered. I smiled. "Cool name. I'm Bonnie, by the way." I said, tilting my head slightly and smiling. We walked on in silence. "Uh... would you like to hang out sometime? I think you're pretty cool." I said. Chica smiled. "O- Okay. And t- thank you for d- defending m- me from those bullies." She stuttered again. "You're welcome." I said. She told me her address and I brought her home. Then I walked back to my house. Mother unlocked the door. "How was school Hun?" She asked, leaning against the counter. "Fine." I answered. I walked past father and waved. I went up to my room and flopped down onto my bed. Today was interesting.
