Chapter 10

I hurtled down the stairs when I hear knocking on the door. I dove in front of my parents and opened the door, beaming. Fox stood there. "Hello Mrs and Mr. Fazbear." Fox said, waving at my parents. I leapt forward and grabbed his sleeve. I tore upstairs and we ran into my room. I closed the door and turned to look at Fox. "What was that all about?" Fox asked curiously. I shrugged. "Ever since you left I was extremely bored with that annoying teacher." I grumbled. Foxy smiled slightly.

I looked around slightly. Mother was holding my hand and we were walking along the street. We entered Safeway. "Hun, grab the cart." My mother ordered. "Okay!" I chirped, pulling out a cart and rolling it into the store. A while later we exited with two bags of groceries. We kept walking, but in silence. I peeked down an alleyway. There were a few dumpsters. Rats scurried through the garbage, squeaking and eating. My eyes shifted as I saw a huge shadow. What surprised me was that it was a boy. He had dirty blonde hair and Amber eyes. He had ripped up clothes that were filthy. "Mom..." I whispered, and stopped. Mother turned around and looked down the alley. "Oh..." She whispered, putting her hand to her chest. The boy was digging into the dumpsters, hunger in his eyes. "Mama, can we save him?" I asked shakily. My mother frowned slightly. She pulled out her flip phone and called father. A muffled voice was heard from the other end. "Jack... There's a kid living in the dumpsters. Should we..." She paused, biting her lip. She nodded slightly. "Okay." She hung up and looked at me. She cracked a smile. "Hun, you're gonna have a brother until we can find him a home." She almost whispered. I nodded slowly. Mother and I entered the alleyway. "Excuse me young boy. Why are you here alone?" Mother asked kindly. The boy looked up with fear in his eyes. "My parents kicked me out." His voice cracked, and it was almost like he never really spoke. My mother's eyes softened. "We'll take care of you, if you'd like." She whispered. He smiled slightly. "Only I- if you- you'd let me, m- miss." He trailed off when my mother hugged him. My mother was always helping people out, no matter how difficult their problems were. And with that, the boy started to cry.
