I
Let me tell you, I AM UTTERLY RIDICULOUS AT COOKING. I tried making a cake once, but all it turned into was a lump of sugary batter! Though I did not expect much out of it anyway it was kind of sad 😅
All of my family agreed to the thought of me not able to cook properly, or worse, even boiling water. Well I mean let's not go that far-
" What a fine evening it is! " I said (it took me multiple amounts of tries to sound like a linguist that day..) .Then a very brave, yet dangerous thought appeared- " What if I boil rice? 🤔" Me being the idiot I am got up and ran to the kitchen to find rice. It took me about 10-15 minutes to find the huge container of rice. Once I found it, I looked for a cooker to put my rice in and I looked around for another 5 mins. NOW that's where I LOST MY MOTIVATION.
That's when I found a cute little vessel not even enough to feed myself... But I thought to myself- "It's just a trial soooo- " I filled up the vessel to its quarter, I forgot about the part of washing or rinsing the rice- 😶. Next, I did was fill it up with water as everyone else does (I hope-) I kept it to boil and I stood there for about 3 minutes (now that's how long my patience let me) The next thing that appeared out of nowhere while waiting for the rice to cook was- " Isn't BTS having an Interview on mTv?? " I ran a 5 second run to the living room, to my surprise I didn't turn off the TV while I went on the mission of cooking rice to make myself a reputation of a good, yet beautiful cook ✨
Now, the Interview was 45 minutes long, and I was the one in the house and the only one who knew about the life-changing plan (literally-). The rice only took about 15-20 minutes at MAX. I kept watching those boys give the interview and got hyped up! After a good 40 minutes of watching the interview, a stove appeared in my head along with a burnt smell... NOW that's when I realized that I had kept a vessel of rice cooking on the stove.
I ran that 5 seconds run to the kitchen like Naruto-

I was TOO late;-;. To my surprise, I thought that If you leave the rice to cook for such a long time it overflows and becomes VERY soft. But, NO it burns!
So, thanks to my fast-acting brain I looked for the pincer (we always have in our kitchen but on THAT particular DAY) but I couldn't find it! So the next thing I did is I took some kitchen towel and wrapped it around the vessel. I hurried, as I knew that my mom will reach home in a couple of minutes... While trying to turn on the tap of water, I accidentally touched the hot vessel!
I didn't do anything else other than flinching. I quickly filled the pot of burnt rice with cold water. NOW a part of my hand started feeling a little weird, perhaps BURNT. Thanks to my last brain cell I couldn't think of what to do;-; since I also had to make up a story of how it happened. I rubbed off the burnt skin.
It looked as if I had put on a skin-colored tattoo that almost looked like a heart!
I tried to trick my mother into saying it was a tattoo I got from a friend. Well, it quite worked out, until she entered the kitchen to see a burnt pot. Now, she got serious and got straight to the point- " What did you do this time? " I simply answered with " what are you talking about? "
