  Long ago, there where four packs. The packs were at war. Five wolfs were sick of the fighting. To end the war, they came together and formed a pack. They named the pack Crimson Rose, to remember how much blood was shed. Years pass, and the pack continued to grow. They developed traditional color ranking. Everybody was at peace. 'Good fireburn' I mentally thought, I raised my head out of my paws. I heard a bunch of 'fireburn Luna''s and rose to my feet. 'Wha- how'd' Gracie asked her self, she shook and got water all over. 'GAH! Grace you got me EXTRA wet' Jull growled at her. 'Knock it off it's too early for this'. I shook my fur out and decided to go to the Great Lake for a bath. I ducked through the door of my den. 'Betas, watch the pack, I'm going to the Great Lake.', I told my betas, I saw them nod and head off. I made my way towards the south east part of our pack.

    I ran into my mate on the way. 'Hello Conan' I told him, ''ello love' he said in a horrible accent,'stop, just, stop' I said shaking my head. 'Alright, what are you doing today' he asked cocking his head, 'going to the Great Lake' I replied putting my head on his shoulder blade, him copying the action to me. 'Can I come' he asked pouting. 'Why not' I answered licking his ear. 'We should get going' I said taking my head back, his head leaving my shoulder blade.

    We reached the end of our pack territory. We took the trail down to the shallowest part of the Great Lake. We stopped by the edge to get a drink, however when I looked up, I froze on the spot.

There, on the other side of the lake, stood two leggers. One of them sitting by a tree.

............the other one......pointing at us.

I nudged Conan's side, and whimpered. He looked where I did, 'run' was the only thing he had to say for me to take off, up the trail. We reached the pack and I climbed up next to Conan on the rock. 'EVERYONE PACK MEETING' I yelled over my thoughts. 'Yes Luna, yes alpha' a bunch said.

When everyone gathered, I noticed Dawn looking fearful. 'Something might be wrong, I'll ask her later', my pup was standing by her. Conan started talking, 'Everybody, there were two leggers at the Great Lake today' his gold marks shining in the Coloredleaf Light. I heard a bunch of growls and whimpers were spread around the crowd, blocking not caring what they had to say, I looked. 'Dawn, are alright?, you' I paused 'seem tense, even before I announced there were leggers at the Great Lake' I tilted my head at her, she stared into my eyes, occasionally glancing at my fur. 'N-nothing' she yelled backing away. She turned and ran into the head den. I tuned everyone out, and decided to follow her. 'Nico, come up here, take my place' I said to my pup. 'Yes mother' he said politely, I ran into the head den and tried to talk to her, only for my head to be flooded with images.

I saw an alpha, ATTACKING A LUNA, and a middle fur. Wide eyed, the images faded. I saw Dawn looking at me fearful, 'Luna, I'm sorry', I read her face trying to pick out all emotions. Only getting fear and regret, I lowered my head.'Dawn, this is an order, wh-what are you hiding,' I pause, trying my hardest not to let my voice break. I gathered my strength, 'tell me what your hiding' I say, power in my voice. 'If you want to know so very badly, fine.' She put her head in her paws. 'Dawn, I am your Luna and friend. Tell me what's going on' I told her, she stood strong a tear falling down her muzzle. 'I have a mate' she said, my eyes lit up. 'Dawn, that's amazing, do you plan on retiring to have pups' i asked, 'OR ARE YOU PLANNING, I give you permission' I said happily, 'your not mad' she asked looking worried, 'm-mad, why would I be mad, this is amazing.' I said grinning a wolfish grin. 'But I thought betas weren't aloud to have mates' she said looking down, 'oh no their aloud, but if they have a pup they have to leave until the pup is old enough to take care of itself' I pause,shaking my head, 'but if you have a pup you should be there with it' I say turning to walk out the door, she stopped me. 'What if a beta did have a pup, but before granted permission.'. Sighing I said 'then they should ask permission, if don't, well, the pup would have to stay in the den...forever', I turned to leave again.
