"Hey Lyna! I'm so happy that your mom let you come!" Katie said.

"Oh. It wasn't my mom. It's my grandpa, acually." Lyna said.

"Where's you mom then?" Katie asked her. Lyna rubbed her arm and looked at the floor.

"Ya'know how my mom was addicted to drugs?" Lyna said. Katie nodded.

"Well, she stole some from a farmer's market and took them while driving. She, cut herself with a knife, or that's what the police said, then she crashed into a tree." Lyna said, tears forming in her eyes.

"Oh. I didn't know. I'm so sorry bestie!" Katie hugged Lyna and Lyna hugged her back.

"Its fine. It was just 3 days ago, let's enjoy your birthday. That will make the mood better, right?" Lyna said. Katie pulled herself out of the hug to make eye contact.

"Yeah, I saw a red panda animatronic handing out some candy! I didn't want to go to it till you got here." Katie smiled.

"What kind of candy?" Lyna asked, her teal eyes shimmering with joy.

"Hersheys, dark chocolate, and milky-way!" Katie smirked as Lyna gasped.

"Ok, where is it!? Oh, hang on, let me go get Vixie from Pawpaw." Katie nodded and waited there for Lyna to come back.

"I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to Mrs. Scarlett, how has- oh, hello there Lyna." Katie's mom greeted her when she approaches her and her grandfather talking.

"Hi Mrs. Denie!" Lyna smiled happily.

"Whatcha want kiddo?" Lyna's Pawpaw asked with a raspy voice.

"I'm getting Vixie, me and Katie are going to go see an animatronic that has candy!" Lyna smiled.

"Ok then, be safe. Vixie will protect you, and bring me back what ever." Pawpaw smirked. Lyna nodded as Pawpaw took off Vixie's light blue leash so she could follow Lyna.

"Come on Vixie! Let's go!" Lyna said. The two jogged back over to meet Katie and Sarah waiting on them.

"Hi Sarah!" Lyna said.

"Hiya Lyna! Let's go get some candy from Pheonix now!" Sarah said with a big smile. The 3 friends, and Vixie, jogged over to the red panda, there was a small line/crowd around her. She was greeting everyone and handing out candy. Vixie all of a sudden nipped at Lyna's heels and let out a low growl. As soon as Lyna looked down, Pheonix's stared at her from the corner of her robotic orange eyes.

"Are you scared Vixie?" Lyna said, bending down to pet the hairless creature.

"How do you even pet her?" Sarah said sarcastically.

"Sarah! That's rude!" Katie elbowed Sarah.

"Well, a dog is a dog. Doesn't matter the breed, personalitly, or looks. All dogs are the same, start from a baby, to a old person. And you yourself even said once that all dogs deserve to be loved. So, therefore, does it matter what they look like? Vixie is very sweet and she protects my family and friends, how can you not love her?" Lyna said while standing up again to get closer. She heard Sarah let out a sarcastic sigh and Katie whispering to her, but Lyna didn't bother to eve's drop on them.

It was Sarah's turn to get a hug and candy.

"What's your name?" Pheonix asked, squatting down with her tail curved beside her with its country hat resting on top.

"I'm Sarah Hindey!" She said exitedly.

"Hello Sarah, my name's Pheonix the Panda Pianeer!" The robot said, saluting to Sarah. Sarah giggled and bounced up and down.

"Heres a traveling treat, take as many as you want kiddo!" Pheonix said with a southern accent. Her tail opened up and there was a handful of candy sitting right at the edge. Sarah took 3 pieces, a milky-way and 2 Hersheys bar. The tail closed once Sarah's hands got out and Pheonix pulled her into a fluffy hug.

A really chunky boy cut infront of Katie.

"Hey! It's my turn!" Katie said, tapping his shoulder. They boy turned around and rolled his eyes.

"Listen, my parents are the richest people in town, I get what I want and no one complains about it. So I suggest you let me go ahead." The chunky boy spit out his saliva as he talked. Katie cringed at him and whipped her dpface, the boy devishily smirked and turned around and proceeded to walk up to Pheonix.

"Hello, what your-" the fat boy cut her off her sentence.

"My name is Liam McDerick and just skip your stupid robot lines and give me your autograph and candy." He said rudly. Pheonix furrowed her eyebrows and opened her tail, it had a photo of her with her name on it along with a bunch of candy. Liam greedily took all of it and stored away, chocolate was already on his face and he was stuffing his mouth with candy. Katie snarled and walked up.

"Hello little kiddo. What's your name?" Pheonix said.

"I'm Katie Denie, nice to meet you Pheonix!" Katie said with a huge smiled.

"Awe, you too Katie. Go on, take as many as you'd like." Pheonix said, opening her tail. All the candy was just at the tip of the tail's mouth thing like it always was. Vixie noticed that the robot's eyes were fixed on Lyna, although Lyna didn't notice. When Katie had gotten her hug, it was Lyna's turn. Sarah and Katie were at the other stage with the other animetronics, eating their chocoalte. Vixie almost tripped Lyna when she tried to take a step forward. Lyna was convicted the Vixie could sense something dangerous.

"Vixie, Pheonix isn't dangerous, she's just an awesome robot with yummy candy! Nothing harmful about that!" Lyna said, pushing Vixie out of the way. When Lyna looked back up, she was face to face with the blue eyed robot. Blue eyes? Weren't they orange before? Lyna shrugged it off and thought maybe it just meant it was close to time to sing happy birthday to Katie or something.

"Hello there Lyna Scarlett. I-i-I'm Pheonix the red p-p-panda." The robot's voice glitched.

"Uh, Pheonix, that's not your name. Your name is Pheonix the Panda Pianeer. And how do you know my name?" Lyna said.

"Right. My b-bad. And I know your name because of your brother and mother." The robot replied.

"How do know my mom and bro?" Lyna said.

"They made me, L-lyna." She replied.

"Now, get some cand-ndy." Pheonix said and then she opened her tail, but the candy wasnt in the front for her to reach. Lyna looked inside and saw the the candy was way back in Pheonix's tail.

"Can I climb in to get it?" Lyna asked Pheonix, in responce, the robot nodded, her left eye was now orange. Ok, that's weird. Eh, probably just needs to be fixed. Lyna thought as she reached into the cramped tail.

"Kid! Get outta there!" A staff worker yelled at me just as I got the candy, i turned around and felt Vixie trying to drag me out best she could for her small size.

"Its danger-" Lyna couldnt hear what else the worker said over the racket of clicking gears. Lyna realized the the tail was, shrinking? No, closing! Just before Lyna could escape, the tail jerked shut, choking Vixie in half. Blood was all over Lyna and the tail. Lyna screamed in agony and grief when she saw Vixie's head and leg laying lifeless at her feet. The clicking of she gears switched to a sound similar to a chain-saw. Lyna felt something ripping up her clothes, then pain shot through her and the sharp gears pierced through her chest. Lyna's vision went black.

"KATIE! SARAH! MOM!" Pheonix yelled at the top of her lungs as she jerked out of her nightmare.

"Ah! Whoa, calm down Pheonix. Are you ok?" Gold asked.

"Wha. Oh, i, I'm fine." Pheonix said, coming back to reality. Just a dream.. Pheonix thought while she pulled off the blanket that was on her. Blanket? I didn't get a blanket. Pheonix thought as Gold helped her up.

"Who were those poeple?" Gold asked her.

"Katie Denie and Sarah Hindey were my two of 3 of my best friends. Haven't seen them since Katie's 7th birthday." Pheonix said. Gold perked up when he heard their last names. Pheonix pushed aside her question and rubbed her head.

"Just outta curiosity... who was your 3rd friend?" Gold asked, rubbing the back of his neck as Pheonix yawned.

"Chris Afton. But I don't like to talk about him.. I barely remember him..." Pheonix fought back tears. Gold silently gasped, but Pheonix did not notice.

"Chris was a nice fella. His brother and father were abusive, wait a minute- you and him used to have the same fist name! How weird is that?" Pheonix giggled. Gold nervously chuckled.

"Yeah. Weird." Gold said.
