I stand there, staring, as a young girl about my age. She had been beating up a guy that was now laying on the ground beside us, bleeding out. She stood there, staring at me. Our eyes locked as a tornado of colors surrounded her. Startled, I stepped back. "Jason, I'm startled." I mutter. (We used to watch a lot of minecraft together.) "Am I doing this?" I asked, panicking. She smiled.

"No." She said calmly. She set herself down. She placed both hands on my shoulders, our eyes still locked. We closed the gap in between us, hugging eachother warmly.

"Oh my god." I say again "Gabby...your like me. I have powers too."

"Really?" She asks. "That's great news!"

"What do you mean that's great news?" I question, tears forming at my eyes.

"I mean that's great news because then we can get out of here together. The more the merrier, right?" She asks cheerfully.

I sigh as a smile appears on my face "I guess so. You always have a way to make me smile, huh?"

She smiles brightly, "Yep!"

"So...how can you control your powers?" I ask confused on how easily she lifted herself toward me before.

"It's easy for me... I kinda just accepted it." She says truthfully.

"But how am I suppost to accept it if I keep getting captured for it?" I say.

She shrugs "You just have to try?"

I lift my eyebrow "Right now?"

"Go ahead if you want." She pushes.

"Ok." I shrug. I close my eyes and try to think of the things I could do with these powers. I could do what Gabby did. That'd be pretty cool. I could beat up evil like Gabby. Gabby could teach me how to do other things too. I hear a gasp. I open my eyes and find myself hovering in the air, about 2 or 3 feet off the ground. I gasp myself.

"Omg that's amazing." Gabby says across from me. "Try to do something else!" She says jumping up and down.

Before I had to think there was a tornado of color in my hand and I had dropped to the ground. "Cool." I say amazed at how easily I did that. I stand there staring at my hand. Gabby whistles and I snap back to reality.

"Try to shoot something!" She shouts.

I fling the ball of energy in my hand to a nearby wall and put a pretty reasonable burn on it.

My face lit up in a huge smile and I scooped Gabby up in a bear hug. She hugged me back and I let go. "Thank you so much!" I say gratefully.

"Your welco-" She was cut off by me kissing her. (Remember none of this is real!)

She pushes me off and blushes. I feel my cheeks burn up. "So uh..." she says, "we should keep going." She motions toward a door.

"Yeah." I say embarrassed. I don't love her, I just wanted her to know how thankful I was for her helping me control my powers. There are no words for how thankful I was. We look through a window on the door and see...well... a field of bodies and a river of blood...literally. We walk through the door and get bombarded with a putrid, absolutely horrifying smell. I threw up in my mouth a little.

We get used to the smell...as used to the smell of death as possible...and cautiously creeped foreword. The smell got worse as we went deeper into the field. "Ugh" I say, "Gabby, I'm gonna go higher, I'm getting light-headed."

"I'll come too!" She says with a smile.

"How can you smile at a time like this?" I ask her while a swirl of color lifts me into the air.

"Well......your here now, and...before then I was so lonely...then I found out you had powers....it just made me so happy...to know...there was someone else like me our there." She says, "Ya know?" I nod.

"I know how you feel... I was living alone in an apartment building... before I was brought here...against my will...." I stop going up, finally escaping the smell. "But I guess if I hadn't been... I wouldn't be here... with you."

She smiles at me, looking in my eyes. I stare back into hers. We close the gap in-between us in a hug. "I don't know what I'd do without you, Gabby."
