(KAZUMA'S POV)

Naruto leave's the leaf village in two days so i'm spending as much money i could to buy Naruto Ichiraku's ramen. i walked down Konoha's roads. i walked to the park and saw Naruto kiss Hinata. i walked to the training field seeing Camellia's new team train. i walked to them

"Camellia." i said. Kin and Katsuo doing one on one battle. Zaku sat under a tree still with broke arms. Akari was helping him eat.

"sempai?" Camellia asked

"how do you like your team?" i asked

"their great." Camellia said

"i'll see you later." i said and walked to Lady Tsunade's office

"ah, Kazuma what do you need?" Tsunade asked

"i'd like to become an ANBU member, Gran." i said

"okay here's the paperwork." Tsunade said. i turned and left. i walked into the woods and went to a clearing that had a lake and a waterfall. i laid on a rock and dozed off.

-TIMESKIP-

i woke up to see it was dusk. i got up and went home. i finished the paperwork to be an ANBU member. i took a shower. i got out and got dressed. i laid on my bed letting sleep take me.

-TWO DAYS LATER-

i stood at the front gate hugging my little brother

"behave Naruto." i said

"okay Onee-chan. i'll see you in two years." Naruto said

"Kazuma your mission." Tsunade said handing me a scroll. i read the scroll to see i would be a guard at Suna. i already had my things packed.

"right, well bye guys." i said. i turned putting my wolf/panther/phoenix ANBU mask on. i took off and headed for Suna.

-NIGHT FALL-

i stopped and climbed into a tree that was a few feet away from the road. i pulled out pocky eating it. i let Inuyasha out while i ate and rested. Kagome was at Konoha watching over Tsunade. my eyes started to drop. i leaned up against the trunk of the tree pulling out my cloak covering myself with it. i placed my mask in my bag. i laid there for a few hours looking at the stars. i finally let sleep take me.

-NEXT MORNING-

i woke up and put my mask back on and my cloak was put back in the bag. i got back to the road and started my journey to the Sand again. Inuyasha was in his fox form following me.

-DUSK-

i finally got to the border of the wind country. the sun was starting to go down. i set up camp and made me some stew. i let my body shift to where i had fur all over my body. i snuggled into my sleeping bag by the fire and Inuyasha snuggled by me. Inuyasha was asleep while i looked at the stars and listened to the sound of crickets chirping. i soon drifted off to sleep.

-MIDNIGHT-

i jolted awake and shot towards the voice. i ran on all fours. i got to a clearing and saw a girl with red hair and glasses standing behind a boy with white hair and sharp teeth. there five sound nin in front of them advancing. i summoned Tenshi Ma and shot forward and stood in front of the two teens. i was controlling Tenshi Ma with one hand while i held a replica of Zabuza's sword in my other hand.

-TIMESKIP-

the sound nin soon collapsed from blood loss. i turned to the two teens letting my puppet go back to my storage and my sword back in storage. i let my body shift till i looked human again. i brought the two back to my camp and gave them some left over stew

"are you alright?" i asked

"thank you, miss-?" the red head stopped mid-sentence

"i'm Kazuma Uzumaki, you are?" i asked

"Karin." the female said

"i'm Suigetsu Hozuki. we're escaped test subjects of Orochimaru's." the male said

"you guys get some sleep. we'll then go to Suna in the morning." i said. they laid down and fell asleep. dawn was a few hours away. i started to clean up the unused items and put them up. when the sun started to rise. i summoned two horses. i pulled out some granola bars.

"time to get up." i said. they shifted and got up. i handed them the granola bars and helped them both up on my white horse. i climbed on my black horse.

"Thunder, Lightning, hya." i said. we took off and headed into the desert. when we got to the quarter mile distance we got off the horses. i unsummoned them and placed my ANBU mask back on. Karin and Suigetsu rode on Inuyasha's back

"who goes there?" the gate guard asked. i removed my mask showing my face that hasn't been seen here in nine years

"Kazuma Uzumaki. the ANBU nin to guard the new Kazekage." i stated. i revealed my sand headband and leaf headband. he let us in and i walked to the Kazekage tower.

"Lady Kazuma returned." a villager said

"we missed her." another villager said.

i kept walking till i got to the door to the office. i knocked

"come in." i heard a familiar soft voice say. i opened the door and grinned the brightest and happiest smile i could muster

"Gaara." i said

"welcome home, Kazuma." Gaara said and embraced me in a hug. Karin and Suigetsu were left to a Jounin so he could arrange them to be escorted to the leaf

"i'm glad to be back, Gaara." i said
