Kaori was born in West Hacoda and was raised by his mother up in till he was 8 when his mother mysteriously disappeared forcing him to stay with his father. He was forced to attend an education learning academy when he was younger. His father was killed in a shipwreck from trying to crossover to a region he wasn't supposed to when Kaori was 13. When his father died there was no one to force him to keep going to school but he continued in hopes of graduating and make something out of his life and get a career.

Kaori is 16 attending the academy called Standfreid, he walks into History Class.

Yuna: Hey, Kaori

Kaori: What's sup

The teacher passes out pagers to everyone to page their answers to the electronic board as a group of 4 to 5.

Kaori: Pagers? Do you know what century we living in?

Ms. Frickle: This is all we have today, don't blow another fuse Mister Sidosen

Ms. Frickle walks to the front of the board.

Ms. Frickle: Now input your group names

A few groups but inappropriate group names on the board.

Ms. Frickle: What is a Doo Doo Man?

Some of the class laughs.

Ms. Frickle: I'm a what?

Ms. Frickle goes to the computer and clears out the names.

Ms. Frickle: No Street Credit, No Doo Doo Man

More groups put inappropriate names.

Ms. Frickle: See y'all are going to mess it up for everybody

Jasmine: Bruh, chill!

When the questions start appearing on the board Kaori answers majority of them wrong making someone else answer for him. When the game concludes Kaori's group received a 39 and it went in as an assignment grade.

Brendon: Kaori, why?!

Trailyor: You had to give it to the dumbest out of all of us

Kaori: I'm dumb?! I'm not the one who failed Chemistry with a 17 you no brain bozo!

The entire class laughs. Soon the bell rings and Kaori goes to Mathematics.

Jessika: This class is so dead! There are nothing but lames in here

Kaori: It got lame when you walked through the door

Jessika: Kaori don't get slapped

A girl walks into the classroom.

Jessika: Here come your best friend Rhinestone, let me go before this girl irritate the shishcabob out of me

The girl's name is actually Jewels but Jessika downgraded it because she never liked her. The teacher walks into the classroom.

Ms. Dann: Settle down! See this is the reason why most of you are failing! You just can't stop with the talking

Darren: We failing because you can't teach

Ms. Dann: We failing because I what? Who said it?

The class laughs.

Ms. Dann: You think it's funny now? Just for that you have a test worth 35% of your grade

Kaori: Bruh, you are a dub

Darren: She mad because she can't handle the truth

Ms. Dann passes out the tests.

Jewels: You about to fail dumb hard

Kaori: Man forget this class

Ms. Dann: Kaori come sit in front of my desk, you're doing too much talking over there

Kaori: See you got me in trouble

Ms. Dann: And you're still talking

Kaori sits in front of the teacher's desk.
After the test is over lunch period begins.
Kaori sits at the lunch table with 2 boys and 3 girls that gossip.

Sierra: Y'all know Cassie and Tamala still beefing

Ariah: I heard they said Cassie was talking slick but she never said it to her face though

Shayla: They say they supposed to be fighting this period

Kaori: Swear

Brian: I heard that too

Kaori: Cassie got that motor mouth, I hope she do get whooped

The lunch bell rings for everyone to go back to class. On the way back the girls Cassie and Tamala fight right in the middle of the hallway.

Ariah: They fighting!

Kaori: Ooo shoot!

Bystander 1: Whoop that trick!

Bystander 2: Drop her!

Bystander 3: Drag her down the hall by her neck!

The security comes and breaks up the fight.

Ariah: That was a slick tie

Kaori: Cassie got her behind beat!

After Mathematics, Kaori goes to Computer Engineering class.

Dr. Queen: Make sure you organize your notebooks for your notebook check

Malik: Did you set yours up? Wait, you don't even have one

Kaori: You know how hard it is for me to multitask all these classes?! Of course you don't Mr. I Know Everything

While everyone does work on the computer Kaori is completely clueless and falls asleep in class. Eventually Dr. Queen walks by Kaori and sees he's asleep and wakes him up.

Dr. Queen: This isn't nap time, we don't sleep in here. And you haven't done a single assignment since you've been in here

Kaori: This junk is hard man

Dr. Queen: All the time I've given you to complete this! There's a computer right in front of you to assist you on this.
You don't have to be in here

Kaori: Okay

Kaori gets up and leaves the classroom and waits for the next bell to ring.
Soon the bell rings and Kaori heads to Chemistry class. The class has two teachers instead of one.

Rachel: Y'all seen that fight?

Ms. Smith: It was about two of em this week, the one that happened on Monday she beat the woola outta that girl

Ms. Tamson: Alright, copy down and complete your opening before we go over it

Kaori: This school mess is really blowing me

Rick: Just wait for graduation man

At the end of class, progress reports are sent out to the classrooms.
Kaori receives his progress report.

Kaori has the lowest grade point average in the entire class, everyone else has a 2.00 or higher. The final bell rings and the school is dismissed. Kaori heads straight home after school not speaking to anyone, when he gets home he throws down his backpack and lays on his bed. The power immediately shuts off and at first Kaori thought there was a power outage but realizes his house is the only house without power. All of the bills in the house are payed for by a 20 year old guy named Marlen, when the power went out Kaori knew something was wrong so he leaves the house and heads into the streets to look for him. Kaori runs into one of his classmates on the street.

Kaori: You seen Marlen?

Isaac: You didn't hear? He just got locked up not too long ago for violating probation and robbery

Kaori heads to the Hacoda Police Station.

Kaori: Is Marlen Wright here?

Female Officer: He is but I don't know if visitors are allowed right now

Kaori: Please man! This is important

Female Officer: Did you just call me a man?

Kaori: I'm sorry "ma'am" this is really really important

Female Officer: Come with me

The officer takes Kaori to Marlen's cell.

Marlen: Kaori?

Kaori: What did you do?

Marlen looks down at the ground.

Kaori: Answer me

Marlen: I broke into Lil Terro's crib

Kaori: Why?!!

Marlen: I needed money! Not just for myself but to pay for your place so you wouldn't end up living in the streets

Kaori: Well now I'm most likely am going to end up living in the streets

Marlen: I don't have nothing else to say man

After Marlen made that comment Kaori immediately leaves the police station. When night falls Kaori lights candles and puts them around his room before going to bed. The next morning Kaori leaves his house at around 7:45AM and heads to school. When he arrives he heads straight to breakfast and sits at the same table as Jewels.

Jewels: Hey, Kaori! What's why? You need a hug?

Kaori: I'm sleeping in the dark now

Jewels: I don't understand

Kaori: Marlen got locked up, now soon I'ma get kicked of the house for lack of paying mortgage and I'm going to be living on the street like a bum

Jewels: I....I don't know what to say

Kaori: I'm going to class now

Jewels: Who's your first period teacher?

Kaori: Ms. Frickle

Kaori heads to Ms. Frickle's class on time and that is something he never does.

Ms. Frickle: Mister Sidosen, I'd expect to see pigs flying before I see you come to class on time

Kaori: Yeah, I just didn't feel like talking to nobody today

Ms. Frickle: Okay

Ariah walks into the classroom.

Ariah: Hi, Ms. Frickle!

Ms. Frickle: Hello

Ariah: How come you didn't stay after school yesterday?

Ms. Frickle: Yesterday I was about to starve, I had to go home and get something to eat

Ariah: What did you have?

Ms. Frickle: Lemon Pepper Wings and Things!

About 6 minutes later the bell rings and class starts.

Brendon: Why you so quiet today Kaori?

Kaori: It's nothing bruh

Brendon: Okay

Ms. Frickle: Good Morning everyone, settle down. Now this morning there was an issue printing out the assignments for today so now today's work will be completed on notebook paper and your assignment is in your textbooks on page 259

Kaori pulls out a couple sheets of notebook paper and attempts to do the assignment but the thought of sleeping in the dark and eventually getting kicked out of his house distracts him.

Ariah: Dang, you didn't do nothing

Kaori: I can't concentrate

Trailyor: He gonna get a big fat 0 on that paper

Usually Kaori would respond to Trailyor's comment but he sat silently. Soon some of Kaori's classmates notice something is wrong with him and soon even Ms. Frickle gets involved.

Ms. Frickle: You alright Mister Sidosen?

Kaori: Yeah, I'm fine

Ms. Frickle: If the work is too difficult for you I can make it a little easier for you

Kaori: No it's fine

Ms. Frickle: Alright then, make sure you get that completed before the end of the period

Kaori: Ariah, let me copy off your paper

Ariah: Boy you better do your own work

Kaori: Bruh you tripping

Ariah: Here, but this isn't happening again

Kaori copies Ariah's paper just when the bell rings and turns in his paper. Kaori dreads going to Ms. Dann's class because he was horrible in math and had a feeling the teacher didn't like him. As badly as he wanted to skip Mathematics he went anyway.

Jessika: It smells like butt and feet

Jewels walks into the classroom with a sandwich in a plastic container.

Rayla: You eating in class?

Jewels: I'm hungry! I didn't eat breakfast it was so nasty!

Rayla: You know Ms. Dann is going to have something to say

The bell rings and Ms. Dann walks into the classroom.

Ms. Dann: Jewels, get out of here with that sandwich

Jewels: I'm about to put it up

Ms. Dann: No get out! Eating in class that's against school rules

Jewels leaves the classroom.

Jessika: I can not stand that girl, she look like a freaking totem pole

Darren: Why you always flaming on her like that?

Jessika: Because I don't like her!

Ms. Dann passes out an algebra assignment. When all of the students receive the assignment they seem to understand and able to complete it, all except for Kaori. Anything that had something to do with math was Kaori's weak spot and he knew if he went to ask Ms. Dann for help she would expect him to know from when she went over it so he goes to sleep for the rest of class period taking a 0 on the assignment. The bell rings for lunch and the cafeteria is serving chicken tenders. Kaori sits at the lunch table.

Sierra: Kaori, why are you so quiet today?

Kaori: You know how many people told me that today?

Ariah: People are going to say that if they see you acting differently

Kaori: You know my mans Marlen? He got locked up yesterday

Ariah: That was Marlen?! I heard somebody got locked up but I didn't know that was Marlen!

Sierra: Y'all was really that close huh?

Kaori: This man paid all of my bills and utilities and even the loan on my house!
I'm still a minor so I couldn't do it, he knew how cold and nonchalant the system is down here they wouldn't care if I don't have parents so he took that responsibility for me. The power went out yesterday, soon the water and then I'm living in the streets

Ariah: That is messed up

Sierra: This got me all in my feelings now, I wanna help you but I don't know what I can do

Ariah: I feel the same way

Brian: How much time did he get?

Kaori: I looked at the paper right before I left the police station, he got 10 years for violating probation

Ariah: Dang

Shayla: I don't know what to say

Sierra: We here for you Kaori

The bells rings for everyone to go back to class. After Mathematics, Kaori and Brian skip their 3rd period class and go to the gym instead.

Brian: Who is your 3rd period teacher?

Kaori: Dr. Queen, she lame as I don't even know what!

Kaori and Brian keep out of sight of the coaches in the gym and find a place to hide in till the bell rings.
