My name is Alexandra Rose Hakenson. I was born on August 19, 2004, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital in Wisconsin. I was born prematurely by almost six weeks and was born with jaundice. A disease in which the liver is affected and your skin and eyes turn yellow. My Mother and certain doctors believed I would not make it, but here I am. I had to stay in the hospital for a few days and I was in intensive care for newborns. My family was scared shitless, my Mother had already had so many miscarriages in the past. My Father did not want my Mother in pain, my sister just wanted a little sibling, My grandparents wanted another grandchild. But like I said, I survived and here I am.
