After the ceremony, Kol Mikaelson makes his presence known by making a little speech. "It is time to get our revenge on everyone who has done us wrong. You see, we were all killed because they deemed us unworthy but that ends tonight."

The sun starts to set and Mia looks at Bonnie. "What can we do to stop them?" She asks in a panic.

Bonnie sighs. "I can try to drop the veil and they will disappear forever."

"Wait!" Mia grabs Bonnie's forearm. "Does that include Jeremy? Because I don't wanna lose him again." She looks at her friend with pleading eyes. "Please, try to save him. Even if you can't, promise me you will try." Bonnie nods and Mia smiles. She walks to the stage and punches Kol. "I know we don't have a score to set but I can't let you harm anyone."

Kol holds his face that is stinging from the punch. "I won't harm you, but I need to avenge my own death."

Mia shoves the Original to the grass and hovers over him. "I said, you will not harm anyone." She stabs his hand with her heel. "Kol, I care about you but you died and you need to move on."

"I'm sorry sweetheart!" Kol stands up and snaps her neck. "I can't move on without my revenge." He walks away and Caroline runs to Mia.

A while later, Mia wakes up and gasps while holding her throat. "Jeremy!" The redhead screams.

Caroline looks at her friend in confusion. "What are you talking about?"

Mia stands up and stares at her blonde friend. "Kol is going after Jeremy because he wants to avenge his death."

"Jeremy is with Bonnie. She asked for his help because you asked her to save him." Caroline tells Mia and the redhead runs after her true love.

Mia spots Kol entering a cave and follows him. Bonnie is working on a spell and Jeremy is right next to her. As soon as Kol sees Jeremy, he lunges at the youngest Gilbert and punches him hard. "You killed me!"

"Stop!" Mia shouts and tries to intervene but is shoved against the wall. Bonnie kneels next to her to make sure she's okay. "Continue the spell. I will distract Kol." The redhead stands up and turns to Kol. "I know you're not evil. You're just angry, as you should." Kol turns to her and looks into her eyes. "But Jeremy was a Hunter, it was in his blood to kill vampires so you can't blame him."

Kol drops Jeremy's collar and walks towards Mia. "I can, that is the point. You wanted to blame someone but you were so in love with him that you took all your anger out on Elena." He steps closer to the redhead. "Your love for little Gilbert blinded you which is why you never loved me."

Mia looks at Kol. "I never loved you because I knew you were going to break my heart. Jeremy is a sweet boy who doesn't deserve to be punished for defending his sister." She looks at Jeremy and smiles. "If you were attacking any of my brothers, I would have killed you without hesitation." She steps back. "The difference betweens us, Kol, is that I love my family and I would kill and die for them. You're too selfish to think about everyone else. That is why you're here! For a moment I thought you wanted to say goodbye to me, but I was wrong. All you care about is your petty revenge."

Kol is about to say something but disappears. "Mia!" Jeremy shouts. "Bonnie is not responding."

"Bonnie!" The redhead kneels on the ground next to her friend and she sees her green eyes open slightly. "Did you do it?"

Bonnie tries to sit but is too weak. "I dropped the veil and brought Jeremy to you." She smiles. "I actually did it!"

Mia hugs her friend and smiles. "You're a badass witch, Bonnie Bennett!"

"And you're fierce, Mia Salvatore!" She starts coughing and Mia notices blood running through her nose. "I'm not sure what is happening but I feel dizzy and tired."

"Bonnie..." A tear streams down her face.

Bonnie smiles. "Be happy, Mia!" Her hand drops to the floor and Mia starts crying while Jeremy comforts her. Bonnie Bennett was able to keep Jeremy alive and sacrificed herself to save her friends.

At the Salvatore Boarding House, Mia and Jeremy are in her bedroom talking. "I can't believe Bonnie died!" Jeremy seems distraught.

Mia puts her hand on his shoulder gently. "She made a choice and it was sad but we should respect her. We should honor her!"

"Tell her how you feel, Jeremy!" Bonnie tells her friend.

Jeremy smiles. "Mia, we need to talk about us." He steps closer to the redhead. "Last time we were together, I told you how much I love you and I stand by it." He holds both her hands and smiles. "I love you, Amelia Salvatore. I may have died but my feelings for you remained very much alive and I want to make you happy."

"Kiss her! Sometimes I think you don't know a thing about women." Bonnie mocks Jeremy, causing him to smile.

"You are the best thing that happened to me in a while and I regret not telling you how much you mean to me before Katherine killed." Mia touches Jeremy's face. "Now that you're here, I don't want to waste any time because I have no idea how much time we have. I love you, Jeremy Gilbert and I probably always have. Right now, all I want is to be with you and love you like you deserve."

Jeremy cups her face and kisses her passionately. Their first kiss... Mia smiles throught the kiss and immediately runs her fingers through his hair. It was a long awaited kiss but worth it. Bonnie smiles while the two share their true feelings and disappears, happy for her friends.
