As Natsu started working at the palace,he noticed many things about the palace. The people who work there were mostly depressed about working there. Since he was new,he didn't know what to expect.

One day,when he was walking around the garden,he saw a guard yelling at a maid." Why can't you be more careful? That's the Queen's favorite vase!" He yelled at her." I'm sorry. I'll be more careful." She said as she cried." You better! Else you'll have your head off your shoulders!" The guard yelled at her and went on his way. The maid gently picked up the pieces of the broken vase while crying. Natsu came and helped her." What happened?" He asks. "It's nothing. The guard just doing his job. Nothing more." She said. Natsu didn't know what to say. So,he just help the maid with the broken glass and went to Lucy's bedroom.

*knock knock*
"Come in." And as Natsu entered the room,he saw Lucy in front of a mirror combing her hair. Then she turned around to see the one who entered her room." Oh, Natsu! You don't need to knock on the door." She said smiling. Natsu slowly close the door and came near her." Why wearing makeup? Are you going somewhere? " he ask." Nope,just heading to the meeting room. Anyway,how do I look?" She ask as she stands up. Natsu looked at her and said." Not bad." Lucy pouts." Wasn't the answer I was looking for!" She said. Natsu giggles at her reaction and apologize. "You look good in anything you wear. Don't worry." He smiled. Lucy smiled and ran to him." Hey,take it easy Luce." He said." Well,I better get going. Can't afford to make this meeting to be a disaster." She said with a grin. Natsu's face was like what the hell does that means?. But he shrugged it off and waited for her to return.

With Lucy
"Your honour,please! There are people who needed the money more than we do! Think about your people!" One of the minister says." You dare to raise your voice?! For your information, I'm the queen and I'm allowed to do whatever I wish! Throw him in the dungeon! " she ordered. The guards grabbed the minister and pulled him out. As they dragged him,they heard Lucy said" His execution is in three days." The guards then screamed." Someone please! Stand up for the people! They don't deserve to be treated like this!" His screams reached the master bedroom. Natsu rushed out when he heard it and saw the man being dragged away. He also saw Lucy at the door." Alright, this meeting is over." She said and everyone dismissed. She ran towards him and smiled. "Let's go to the garden." She said. Natsu smiled bitterly. He had a feeling that this Lucy isn't the Lucy he loved when they were young.

In the garden,Lucy sat in a green house where they put some chairs and table. She always had her tea there. As they walk around,Natsu asks. "Can I pick some flowers?". Lucy nodded and happily walk ahead. Natsu silently picked some daisy and roses. Before heading to where Lucy was,he twiddled the flowers making them into a crown. Why do I get a feeling that she won't like it?. He thought. Feeling unsure he left the crown on some bushes and head toward Lucy. Along the way a maid came and told him to hand the tray with tea and cakes to the princess. Natsu took it and went to her." Oh my,it's tea time." She said gleefully. As she turned around,she saw Natsu with her tea. He put the tray down and serve her." Lucy,don't you think you're being too rough towards the man?" He ask. Lucy sips her tea and said "Nonsense. It's my country and my ruling. And my orders are absolute. Those who disobey me will face the consequences." She said. Natsu felt silent as he didn't know what to say. He love her too much to protest." I'm going to the market tomorrow to buy some things." He said finally. Lucy eyes were sparkling when she heard it." Let's go to the nearest country! The sapphire country is nearby. I'm sure they have things that we want! Plus,it'll be the first time for us to go shopping together. "She said. At first,Natsu wasn't sure to bring her or not. But,when she didn't stop begging,he finally agreed." We'll leave tomorrow at sunrise then." He said.
