🌻The Good, the Bad, and the Fashionable Pt 1/3🌻
🌻Before you Read🌻
🌻Warning: The use of alcohol will be used in this. I do not recommend nor truly support what these two characters will be doing in the fic with alcohol, so do not do this at home; however...Sakura does drink a lot after she becomes a Pro. Just drink responsibly if you choose to, folks.
🌻Story is mainly between two characters: Sakura (a character I own) and aBitGrim's Dani (from I See Dead People). Credit goes to them for creating such an amazing fashionista to compliment Sakura (and many thanks for letting me create this!)
🌻Because this is a crossover with someone who writes an OC insert story, the timeline of this is pushed to the current BNHA timeline. So, yes, NONE of this is cannon, but you can bet something like this has happened to Sakura sometime during her career.
🌻Other characters will be mentioned from other authors, but I'll wait until they make an appearance to give a shout-out.
🌻This is the first crossover/short fic I'm posting before it's actually finished, so updates will be inconsistent.
🌻That's all for now...enjoy!
🌻Vittoria🌻
My eyes drifted from the large stack of paperwork lying on my desk and over towards the clock. It was well past closing time, but I didn't have a choice. While my main job was being the Pro Hero, Wisteria, I also was in charge of my own fashion company. Most of my work for that was keeping up with the latest trends and creating my own work. I loved doing that as people needed saving in more ways than one.
Trust me when I say, I have stopped multiple fashion hazards from walking down the street because of my line.
But, since I was a Pro Hero, my agency—or more so, my fashion company—was in charge of multiple Pro Hero costumes. Not the repairing part, but the designing part. Sure, Heroic Department students and Pro Heroes could just design their own, but they needed some guidance from designers. Being that I was a Pro and a designer, many came to me to help their dream designs come true. My goal was supposedly easy: make sure all designs were reasonable for a Pro Hero and make some slight modifications. To anyone, that task would've been simple.
If those designs were somewhat decent. Granted, these were from Pro Hero Students, but still. I would have expected something better than the hideous monstrosities that made me want to just burn the designs and redo them completely.
A stack of binders crashed onto my desk, taking me by surprise. Everyone should have been home, and yet, someone was right in front of me. I turned my head to see the one person in my entire agency that would've been quiet enough to open the door and slip in without me noticing. He wasn't a ghost, but his attire was something that one would expect during Halloween.
I nearly shuddered as I remember asking him about why he chose to wrap his arms when his outfit could look so much better against his tan skin rather than the worn down wraps that hid most of it. It wasn't that he was hiding anything. The man was just preventing his Quirk from activating. Trust me when I say it was best not to clean that mess up.
In order to see what was on the binders he had carried, I had to push my chair back and stand up. My eyes scanned the gold lettering that was etched into the top cover.
"Did you stay here all night redesigning Pro Hero Costumes for support items?" I asked.
Dani nodded his head as he adjusted his wraps on his hands. I couldn't see his mouth move as those same wraps covered the bottom half of his face. Again, he looked like a live mummy, but I wasn't complaining. I really couldn't complain when he was much more fashionable than those wrappings let on.
"They were the most appalling pieces of clothing I've ever seen," Dani explained. "I had to do everything just so I didn't gouge my eyes out."
I chuckled at his comment, knowing he was probably right. It was why I hired him in the first place. He was the only person I could trust that could somewhat fix Pro Heroes' mistakes, all while making it seem like it was because of the tech the Pro wanted. Some assignments he got were enough to make him nearly kill me, but I also had him work on more fun assignments to make up for it.
"Be glad they're not rough sketches, with some modeling their own costume to look like other Pro Heroes whose costumes are an absolute mess," I responded. "I just got done looking at one design that looked like Grape Juice's, like down to the detail kind of design."
His orange eyes widened in shock as his head dropped to look me more in the eyes, almost as if he was trying to call my bluff. If only that was true. Honestly, I felt my own eyes bleed when I saw it.
"Why?" Dani asked. "Why would someone model their costume like that‽ His costume was like the fruit of the loom under armor that just made my skin crawl. The boots of that man's outfit shouldn't have seen the light of day, and those pants? They weren't even—wait. Didn't that man go to jail the other week for sexual assault?"
My head bobbed up and down. "Exactly. About time too knowing what he was like in high school. Gosh. Why did it take them a good ten years to even realize that? His fashion choices—or lack there of—should've been enough to have them realize there was something not right with him."
"For sure," Dani agreed before jerking his thumb over his shoulder. "Is there anything else you need from me? If not, I'm going to head out."
I shook my head. "For the disasters you had to witness in those binders, you're free to go. I have a feeling you're going to need all the sleep you can get before you help build those items."
Dani groaned. "Don't remind me."
He didn't even have a chance to turn around when there was a knock on my door. We both turned to look just as I called for whoever knocked to come right in. It was strange. For a while, I thought I was the only one here. Everyone should have been home three hours ago. The fact that Dani was here was surprising enough. Why was there someone else here?
Was there a full moon I didn't know about, or have I entered the Twilight Zone?
We watched as the door swung open, revealing a tall woman with dark brown hair that melted into a light blond at the ends. Her scorpion-like tail curved up over her shoulder, with its stinger pointing right at us. My eyes glanced at the thick binder that was tucked under her arm as she walked in. Before anything was said, I knew exactly who she was. Vittoria didn't come into my agency often, but there was no need to. There was only one reason why this woman would come into my agency.
My stomach tightened. I did everything that I could to keep my green eyes from staring at the black binder in her arms. She didn't have to explain what was inside of it. Even Dani, who stood in front of my desk, stiffened a bit as he recognized it all too well.
It was the book.
"Wisteria, darling, how am I not surprised you're still up to buzz me in?" Vittoria asked, even though we all knew she probably picked her way into my building, not caring about the fact that she was trespassing. The woman glanced over at Dani. "Do not tell me she has you overworking on a weekend."
The purple haired man shook his head. "I was just finishing up," Dani explained.
"I see," Vittoria said with every ounce of disapproval one could douse in those two words.
In the corner of my eye, I could see Dani doing everything he could not to tear this woman apart. Even though he didn't say a word, I knew he was probably silently critiquing everything about this woman's fashion choices...if he could even think of something negative about it. Vittoria wasn't a fashion legend for nothing. Of course, that didn't prevent the man from glaring at her.
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" I asked, ripping her attention off of Dani.
Here is the thing about Vittoria. She was the head of the magazine, Fashion Forward, and like most fashion snobs that there were in the industry, she wasn't afraid to voice or show her opinion on things. I get that Dani and I were similar in that way as well, but this woman was vicious. Multiple designers resigned their first year once they had the chance to work with her. Hell, even fashion designers who had been in the industry for years and had more experience than I had of just breathing had quit with just one collaboration with her.
Somehow, I managed to survive, but it was all with a little help from Dani. He kept me sane. In the corner of my eye, I could see him shifting on his feet, almost as if he knew his night was far from over. While I would tell him to go home, I knew he wouldn't take the chance, not when our reputation was on the line.
That was something Vittoria failed to understand. All of my employees were more than just my employees. In my eyes, I valued every single one of them. Dani more than anyone.
"This year's list of Top Ten Best/Worst Hero Costumes was assigned for you to take charge. My readers want a full on scoop as to what your opinion is on these. There are over fifty Hero Costumes my readers have submitted, so the work is basically done for you. I'll be back on Monday to pick up the results," she explained.
Vittoria was always like that. She never gave people the choice to do things. She expected it. If someone were to say no, well, there was guaranteed to be an article bashing them. It might not have been in her magazine, but it would've been somewhere. How she got the dirt on people was beyond me.
All I knew was I had to do everything to keep my business running, even if it was beyond rude and disrespectful for her to just throw this task at me last minute, expecting me to have it done before her next issue was released.
While she made it seem like it was an honor, it was anything but. This was the third year in a row she made me do this exact article. It wasn't because of her readers. The woman was testing me, seeing how far I would go before I snapped. Whether it be because I was a Pro Hero or the fact that I always did my best as a designer, there was no way I was going to do that.
"It would be my pleasure," I said, pulling on the best smile I could muster. In seconds, the thick binder was in my hands, and she was walking out the door, waving her fingertips goodbye.
When the door shut behind her, I glanced down at the book, shaking my head back and forth at the miserable night ahead of me.
"Just when I thought this night couldn't get any worse," I muttered before glancing over towards Dani.
The man didn't even wait for me to say another word as he walked behind my desk and opened up the bottom drawer. Had it been anyone else, I would've sent them out of my office. This was Dani. If I had to trust anyone in both my Hero Agency and Fashion Company, it would be him. Maybe it was the fact that we graduated together from U.A. Maybe it was the fact that we were on the same wavelength half the time that many people had mistaken us for a married couple. Whatever it was, it didn't matter.
Inside that drawer were two bottles of wine that were wrapped in a towel. He didn't hesitate to pull out both of them and place them on my desk. Knowing what was about to unfold, I walked to the front of my desk and pulled up a chair that was sitting in front. Not that any of the people who paid me a visit used them, but they were still nice chairs to have. They were made of a dark mahogany that matched my desk, and had a black cushion on the seat.
I pulled it beside Dani, who took a seat and handed me a bottle. While I know that sounds bad, these bottles were the only bottles of alcohol in the entire building. At least, they were the only bottles that I knew about. The fact that we had to crack them open only a year after I bought them was not a good sign.
As I grabbed the two wine glasses that sat on the book shelf behind me, I heard Dani sigh.
"Why do I have the feeling Vittoria only gave us the worst costumes known to mankind?" he asked.
"Because knowing her readers, they don't care about whose costumes are the best," I pointed out as I took a seat and handed Dani a glass. "They just want something to talk shit about until the next issue comes."
Dani nodded his head as he poured the wine in his glass before exchanging it with the empty one in my hand. "This is going to be a long night."
"It is," I agreed, glancing at the book filled with horrendous costumes.
For a moment, I wasn't sure how we would get past this. After looking at a sketch of a future hero costume that was basically a replica of Grape Juice's old costume before he was thrown in jail, I wasn't sure how much more I could take. I couldn't just wait to do it tomorrow; otherwise, I wouldn't be able to get it done. If I was a full time designer, then sure, this wouldn't have been a problem, but I had my hero duties to fulfill. People were already questioning if I could do both, despite me doing this for years now.
My head turned away from my desk, glancing back at the silver clock hanging against the dark green walls of my office. Only twenty minutes had passed since I had last looked at it. By noon tomorrow, I would need to be on patrol.
That would give me plenty of time to handle a bit of alcohol, I thought to myself as an idea popped into mind. I glanced over at Dani, who placed the wine bottle on the desk, taking a sip of what he had in his glass.
"You know how we could make this bearable," I suggested, causing Dani to raise an eyebrow out of interest. "We try our hardest to point out the good in a costume. Whoever cracks first has to take a drink."
Dani shook his head for a moment, before he stopped. I waited for a verbal response as he glanced over at the book. "If you're serious, then you're on," he said, accepting the challenge.

This picture was created by the amazingly talented, aBitGrim !! In the Discord Group, UAStorytellers, we do a lot of crack shipping. I have no idea how many characters Sakura will end up being shipped with, but one of these ships is Sakura and Dani because they're probably the two most fashionable characters in everyone's stories. If these two were to date, they'd be the most fashionable couple ever, wearing matching outfits while roasting everyones else's.
Whether these two are a thing or not in this short fic...we'll just have to wait and see 😉
