*possible POV switches in the next couple of chapters. I'll put 2 of these star things* if there is. But I'm this chapter it's just Dakota*

*Dakota's pov*
I wake up in the hotel room I had stayed in. I hardly got any sleep wondering where max was. I felt so bad leaving him there I should of brought him with me. What was I thinking. I got up it was 7AM.  I checked out and went to the police station to see if they had any leads on him.

I bursted through the door my anxiety racing. "May I speak to the officer in charge of the missing person at the fair case?" I asked the lady at the front desk. She stood up signaling me to follow. We walked into a large room of desks and people. There were officers going up stairs some in the forensic room and a lot of paper everywhere on desks. She took me to a desk and whispered to the woman. She nodded and asked me to take a seat in the chair on the other side of the desk. I looked at the name sign; 'Detective Decker'. I sat down and looked at her weary. I was tired and scared.

"So we have pulled footage from the fair grounds. We have officers checking it out going through all footage they have a car but no liscense plate was on it. We are searching the best we can we also took Max's phone from you yesterday; We only found max and your finger prints on it. If we get any other information we will call you. I promise you we will find max and we will find the person who did this." She hands me Max's phone and gave me a small sympathetic smile. I knew she was trying her best. And that's all they could do at this point. I wasn't allowed to investigate tho because I didn't even know where to start and I wasn't part of the law. I thanked her and walked out.

I decided to go to the coffee shop down the road. I needed a wake up drink. I went in and order a Frappuccino Carmel X-Large with 5 shots of expresso. I paid her with a tip and thanked the lady. As I left I called Nathan. I had explained everything to him and he was coming down today.

He picked up on the first ring. "Hello" he sounded worried and tired. "Hey. You still on your way today?" I asked kinda slow.  "Yea I'm 20 minutes from the hotel. Where are you at?"
"I'm at the coffee shop down the road. Do you just want to meet there?" 
"Yea that's 10 minutes from me I'll see you there."
"Okay, bye".  I hung up.  I went inside and sat in one of the corner booths. I texted Nathan which booth I was in to find me.

Moments later he came in and scanned the area. I raised my hand towards him as he walked over.

"Hey Nate. You look about as bad as I feel." I joked with him. He cracked a weary smile. "I just feel so bad. I had a bad feeling yesterday for some reason and I didn't know why. I was going to call you guys but I didn't want to ruin the fun.  God I hope he's okay. He was doing so good. I didn't tell him this yet but in 2 months I set him up an appointment with a transgender doctor to start T and to talk about breast removal and dick formation. I know he wants it so bad, and I have the money for it so I'm willing to pay it full. Yea It's gonna be a big chunk from my bank;but if it makes max happy... I will gladly do it no questions asked. I love my brother no matter what his gender was as a kid. He's always been my brother and always will be."  He had tears in his eyes with his last few sentences. I felt his pain. I wanted max to be safe too. No matter what it took to do it.

"Hey. They will find him. And I won't take him out of state no more and when they find the person who did this I hope they pay big time. I just hope max is safe right now. Who knows what these sick physcopaths will do anymore."I said shaking my head and sipping on my drink handing it to Nathan.

Okay so this chapter is a bit shorter I know but max will have his chapter next and we'll see what poor things he may render.
