I woke up to my phone ringing. I looked over to see what the caller ID was. 'Max's Big Bro Na..' i answered it confused.

"Hello" i said rubbing my eyes. "Hey i know it's early but could you possibly give max a ride to school? If I do it I will miss my meeting and this meeting determines if I get a promotion, which i could really use right about now. I would really appreciate it." He said as it sounded like he was rushing around. "Yea ill be there in 10." I said sliding out of bed. "Thank you sooooo much i owe you one." He said hanging up.

I slid on my normal clothes and shoes and grabbed my bags. I told my parents where i was going. They said okay and told me to be safe, like I was going to be crazy today or something. When i got there max's brother was upstairs getting max out of bed. I sat at their table and some guy set down waffles in front of me and said I would eat them. He then set down pancakes on the other side. I presumed they were max's. I saw him come down. He looked cute when he's sleepy. -wait. Wha- did i just say that. I hardly know him. Sigh.

He sat down. "Shouldn't you be as school with coach?" Max asked looking at his plate with deep thought looking at my plate then his. He shrugged it off and ate it anyways.

"Oh Ummm I told coach you needed help getting a ride to school and that your brother called me as a last resort. So coach said just come at the end of the day. So i was hoping you wouldn't mind staying long enough to have my self sized for my uniform" i asked shoving the last of my waffles into my mouth. He said that it was fine. "We should get going." He said pushing his plate to the middle.

Me and max met by the gymnasium doors when the bell let out at the end of the day. God it's been a long day. I thought it was never gonna end. Hopefully this doesn't take a long time. I just can't get that thought out of my head from this morning. But i must focus, coach talks fast and I can't miss anything. When max came over we walked through the gym. He seemed intrigued on the cheerleaders. He's probably straight so it doesn't matter. I sighed and walked up to coaches office. I knocked and walked in;  coach never cared.

Coach held up his finger to us. He was writing what i presumed was a email. He finished what he was doing and looked up seeing that it was me and that I brought my friend.

"Hey so, okay so my friend is in the other room. i'll walk you back there and we will get your sizing and then you'll be on your way. Tops 10 minutes really," He said looking between me and Max. "Max, if u want to come see how it works you can or you can go wait in the gym it's up to you i guess..?" He said looking at Max. "I'll come with you guys i guess." He said fidgeting with his shirt bottom.

"Okay so he's going to measure your head for helmet gear and then since we use a site that goes my letters instead of numbers. We gave Xs- XXXXXXL(<-6 X's). Me and partner will step out and you can try them on." Coach said as his partner finished sizing me. They walked out leaving me and max in the enclosed room. Max was about to leave when I told me he could stay. I didn't. Are if he saw me. Were both guys "O-oh okay- umm." He said sitting back down on the bench in the office. "We are both guys. It ain't like we are being sexual to each other." I said chuckling at my own joke.

I started stripping down to my underwear only. When i snuck a glance at him he was staring at me? He seemed to be perplex when he looked away like he didn't know why he looked. He grabbed his phone out and started scrolling on it. I tapped on his shoulder when i was done. I had the sizes that fit draped over my arm like a waiter in a high class restaurant movie. I handed them to coach and he told us we were free to go. Me and max headed out the back to my car since it was closer that way. When we got out on the road max asked if i wanted to come over. "No i can't, i have some stuff i got to do at home. maybe a different day." I said trying to sound realistic. He just said okay.

I dropped him off and was back home. I plopped down on my bed. Was he gay like me. I can't be gay openly tho. The football team would kill me. I can't tell max. What if he's not and he tells the whole school. I sighed and went to the kitchen. My family was eating dinner. I grabbed a plate and served myself and sat down with them.

"How was your day sweetheart?" My mom asked me smiling. She always smiled. It was creepy. I told her about school but i left out the max part. My sister was too young to hear about it. I finished and headed up to my room. I fell asleep thinking really hard about it. Maybe i'll figure it out tomorrow.
