Shouts of alarm came from the multiple Stellas standing around the landing dock as Ivy and Lenan bolted to the pod.

Lenan grabbed Ivy's arm and kept her above the murky substance that the pod had landed in. When they were close to the pod, Lenan shoved Ivy into the pod and jumped in himself.

As soon as he was in, he slammed on a button and the door of the pod closed with a small hiss.

Ivy bolted up from where she had been on the ground and wildly looked at the controls, "How do you drive this thing?!"

Lenan didn't answer, instead taking control. He pressed multiple buttons, and Ivy felt the pod lifting from the landing pad.

Ivy's stomach was in knots, and she quickly moved to a back window to see what was going on on the planet.

"Lenan..." her pitch came out higher than she meant, and she tried to take a deep breath, "I think they're bringing out another pod." her tone was tense.

"Is it smaller?" Lenan asked, not looking away from whatever he was doing.

"Yes." Ivy swallowed hard, wiping her now-moist palms on her pants, "Someone's getting into it." she added nervously, glancing over at Lenan.

"Hold on," Lenan said quickly, gripping a lever and yanking it forward.

The pod reacted instantly, shooting forward from the planet.

Ivy gave a small cry of surprise as she was pushed backwards by the force.

Using her arms, she pushed herself away from the wall so that she could see out the window. What she saw did not calm her. Three of the smaller pods were giving chase to them.

"Three pods are chasing." Ivy announced, taking a few shallow breaths in an attempt to calm herself.

"We just need to get within the earth's atmosphere." Lenan said, not taking his eyes off the controls, "They don't want to risk being seen."

"But aren't we going to be seen?" Ivy glanced over her shoulder at Lenan, still feeling the pressure pushing her towards the window.

"We have a sort of stealth mechanism." Lenan explained, using the controls to swerve the pod aside to avoid a stray piece of debris.

Ivy's mind worked quickly, "And why don't we use that now?"

"It doesn't have a whole lot of charge, since I just got back from a trip here." Lenan explained, "Although, on the way down, I accidentally forgot to put it on for awhile. Boggled a few human's minds." he laughed, "Missing meteorite!"

For a moment, Ivy forgot they were being chased, "You were the missing meteorite?" she asked, her eyebrows raised.

"I see you were one of those humans." Lenan commented.

Ivy shook her head in amazement, "How does this stealth mode thing work?"

"I will tell you when we're in safety."

"Oh, right." Ivy turned back around to look out the window, and her heart gave a jolt, "They're closer. And still gaining."

Lenan started talking quickly in his own language, and Ivy tried to keep up for a few seconds before giving up. He glanced at a panel to his left before speaking, "We're going to have to go into stealth mode. Hopefully it'll last long enough to get inside the atmosphere."

Ivy said nothing, instead watching the three pods gaining on them, and wondering what would happen if they did catch up completely.

Sooo..... it's been forever since I've updated... sorry about that...

And I was too lazy to proofread this chapter, so there are probably tons of mistakes...

Anyway, I have a question to ask you guys... I am kind of thinking of deleting this book... there are some things that really don't make sense (like how did Ivy survive on a planet that probably doesn't have oxygen), and I don't think it's written the greatest. :/ 

So please give me your opinion on this!
