♕ Chapter 26
"Are you sure it's safe for us?" Rose asked, biting her lips. "Well, is it safe for you actually. I mean, what if they throw eggs at you again?"
Seth rolled his eyes. "Nothing will happen, Rose. Trust me. Father increased our bodyguards. Funny how you and he thought the same thing," he said, straightening his tie in front the huge mirror outside their bedrooms. He turned himself to face her. "You're done?" he asked.
Rose nodded. Seth and Rose were going to the a special event that was held in a hotel ballroom. Seth motioned closer to her and observed her like a detective. "Hmm, I was expecting something more than this," he said with his finger rubbing the end of his jaw as he gazed at his beautiful wife.
"So, you're saying that I don't look nice?" Rose said in a sulking tone. "Okay. Fine," she pressed her arms to her chest and looked away from him. Seth laughed as his wife was acting cute. He placed his hands on her shoulders, turning her to face him. "I was just kidding," he said. "You look very very very extraordinary beautiful," he said truthfully.
Rose smiled a little and her face blushed. Seth chuckled as he loved how he could make her blush every time he praised her. The pinkish trace on her cheeks always prettify her and made him loved her even more. She was looking very beautiful - wearing a red short dress that revealed her sexy ballerina legs, her hair was brought up and everything were too perfect for him.
"And you look..." Rose tried to search for the right word as she observed him. Like always, Seth looked amazingly handsome with his typical black tuxedo that fitted him perfectly. But there's nothing special except that he was wearing a bright smile instead of a frown. "Nice," she said and gave him an innocent smile.
Seth wrinkled his nose. "Just... Nice?" he asked as he was expecting her to say something more than just nice. "Yeah. Nice suits you," Rose smiled and grabbed his arm. "Let's go. I'm hungry," she said, rubbing her stomach. Rose pulled him away from there and she looped her arm through his. Seth shook his head, slightly disappointed as he expected something more than nice but followed her instantly, heading towards the limo.
Queen Carla looked out of the window as she heard giggling voices. She stared at her son and daughter-in-law as they got into the limo. She had to admit that her son looked much happier these few days. Since Seth announced as the new Crown Prince when he was just six years old, he barely smiled. Mostly because of her. Queen Carla realized that she was pushing him too hard but she wanted the best for her son. Her only son.
"What are you looking at?" King Edward asked as he saw that his wife were staring out of the window tentatively. Carla turned herself facing him and shook her head. "Seth and Rose," she said slowly. "I thought they will be fighting badly after the news about Seth were out. Instead, they were laughing together now,"
King Edward smiled and closed his book as he was excited to tell her wife about what Rose said the other. "I talked to Rose the other day. She said she trusts him with her life," he grinned. Carla raised an eyebrow. "Really?" she said in a surprise tone and motioned closer to him. "Wow,"
"I know. That was my impression too. I told you that there's something about this girl. I knew it from the first time I met her. She's really special," he said wisely, recalling when he first met Rose. "And I think Seth feels the same way about her too,"
"What do you mean?"
"Can't you notice, Carla? The way Seth looks at her and smile when he told us his story when he spent his night at her house. As his father, I understand his feelings," Edward explained. "Seth's in love with her and obviously, Rose is too. It's good to know about it. I thought they would hate each other for the rest of their lives,"
Carla didn't say anything and she couldn't deny everything that Edward said was true. She too, noticed that her son changed a lot. It took some moments before she speaks. "But about Seth's case in Paris, we still need to think of the solution, Edward. I'm afraid he may have to divorce her," she spoke her opinion.
"What?" Edward said and he was taken aback. "Why should him?"
"At least if he divorced her, the people would understand that Seth wasn't in love with her since the start. That's why he's acting like that. The people may forgive him and trust him back and look up at him a wise person for making that decision," Carla explained.
"Nonsense," Edward protested. "I've already asked Seth to think of the solution. I'm sure he'll come up with much better ideas than yours," he shook his head. Carla looked into his eyes. "But-"
"No buts," he said to stop her from giving a ridiculous opinion. "I'm tired. I need some rest. I've got an important meeting first thing in the morning," he put his book aside before he lay down on the bed. "Close the light when you're sleeping," he instructed before he pulled the cover.
Carla sighed and closed her eyes. She knew that he wouldn't agree with her suggestion. It was wild but she thought it was for the best.

"Hi," Rose shook the President's wife hand. "How are you?" she asked kindly. The First Lady of Andorra replied that she was fine and they talked for a few moments before she went away from there.
Seth beamed at her, smiling. "What?" Rose asked as she realized that Seth was staring at her when she was talking to the First Lady. Seth chuckled. "No, I'm proud of you," he smiled.
"Proud?" Rose grinned. "Why?"
"You're a real princess now. I'm surely gonna miss your simpleton side," he joked and gazed into her eyes. Rose nudged his side teasingly . "I'm still gonna be a simpleton in front of you," she purred. Seth laughed and nodded. "Glad you will," he teased.
"Prince Seth," Mr Jameson showed up from behind them, bowing down. "The press is ready to talk to you," he informed and Seth nodded. Rose wrinkled her nose. "The press? Talk? Seth, I don't think that's a good idea," she said worriedly as she remembered that Seth was egged on their last press talk.
"Nothing will happen, Rose. I told you," he assured. Mr Jameson nodded. "Yes, Princess. The security has been tightened and I'm sure everything will be fine," he added as they tried to convince her.
Rose bit her lips as she was still unsure. Seth wrapped his arm around her. "Plus, I'm sure you'll be glad to block the eggs for me again, don't you, Superman?" he asked in a seducing tone. Rose sighed and looked down worriedly. "Fine. But this time, I won't help you," she said.
Seth smiled and they made their way to the press room. As soon as they entered the room, cameras started flashing as the photographers took their pictures. Rose couldn't help herself but to look around to make sure that no one was holding any eggs. They stood at the center and the press was waiting eagerly in front of them. She could tell by their faces that they had lots to ask.
Mr Jameson passed the microphone to Seth. He took it and started to speak. "Thank you everyone for coming tonight. I'm very happy that everyone is giving their cooperation to me. You may state your questions now," he announced and smiled to the press.
A reporter raised her hand and Seth pointed his hand at her. "Prince Seth, I'm actually surprised that your relationship with Princess Rose is still going well,"
Seth smiled. "Yes, she's the most understanding person in the world," he said in awe, looking down at her. He put his arm around her. "And I'm lucky to have her as my wife,"
Another pressman raised a hand. "Princess Rose, what do you feel after the scandal news were out? You must have been very disappointed with your husband, don't you?" he asked.
"I was at first," she said truthfully. Her hands were trembling as it was her first press talk. But with Seth's arm around her, it made her feel safe. "But he explained everything that happened and I trust him," she smiled.
"Do you believe him that easily?"
"Yes. I know who Seth Larston is. He wouldn't do such thing," she said assuringly - no doubt or buts. Rose saw shock emotions on some of their faces as maybe they thought that she was lying.
"The People knew that this marriage is just an arranged marriage. So, it did explain your actions, Prince Seth. Do you have anything to say about this?" a reporter asked.
It took a few seconds before he replied to the reporter. "This is an arranged marriage. And yes, I didn't love her or even know who Rose's is before this happened. But things changed and people changed. Unexpected things happened and some of them didn't even make any sense," he paused and took a long breath.
Seth flicked his eyes to Rose. "I did so many bad things to her. Hurt her and mocked her almost every day just because I was mad at my parents. She cried so many times and got sick because of me. I was blinded by hatred before I knew that what I was doing was wrong. I tried to get close to her and get to know her better," he said and the press room was quiet as everyone was listening to his words tentatively.
"Rose Humprey's the most amazing person I've ever met. She is gorgeous outside but much more beautiful inside. I was so blessed that I get to know this one pretty girl here and the fact that God arranged my marriage to her. I used to say that this marriage is the biggest mistake I've ever made but now, I think this marriage is the best thing that ever happened to me,"
He turned Rose to face her. Her eyes were already filled in with tears as she was touched by his words. Rose never thought that he would say that to her and millions of people will read this. "I've never said this to you because we were always interrupted," he joked and Rose laughed. He took a deep breath and took her hands.
"I love you, Roseline Larston," Seth stated and his eyes locked hers. The words were out smoothly and it came from the core of his heart. Mr Jameson smiled as he watched the beautiful moment between them. He turned his eyes to the press but none of them were taking pictures. They were in awe and some of them were sobbing. Mr Jameson clapped his hands to wake them up.
The reporters shook their head and started to take their pictures. Rose and Seth laughed as Seth put his forehead on hers. "I've done with my part," he purred and it was the happiest moment in his life.
Rose knew what she had to say. "I love you too, Seth Larston," she smiled and a tear dropped from her eyes. There were no words that could describe how happy she was. Seth finally said the three words that she was longing to hear.
Seth smiled in relieving and promised to himself that he will love her until his last breath and make her happy for the rest of her life. He leaned his lips closer to her and finally, it touched and bonded together. He kissed her with everything he had and showed her how much he cares for her. Their first kiss finally happened and it was something that Rose and Seth would remember forever.
The press clapped their hands and was in tears. Rose smiled as she kissed him before she pulled her lips away as she realized that Seth was getting out of control. "You really have to control yourself, Seth. And this just proves that you were the one who is so attracted to me," she whispered teasingly.
"Fine. I'm attracted to you," he admitted in smile and put his forehead against hers. "A lot," he continued as he leaned closer again for another kiss.
~~
"Ookay," Rose stopped walking when they reached the front of her class. "I'm going into the class now. See you after school. Bye," she smiled and waved her hand at Seth. When she was about to enter her class, Seth pulled her arm. She turned herself to him. "What?" she asked bewildering.
"You forgot something," he said in a stern voice and frowning. Rose was puzzle as she didn't think that she forgot anything. "Did I? What?" she asked and looked around her. He smiled and tapped his finger on his cheek. "I need my inspiration," he demanded for a kiss on his cheek.
Rose laughed. "You're such a pervert. People is looking at us," she said shyly and her eyes wandered around. Seth moved himself closer to her. "Please or I'll do something more than that," he said threateningly as he leaned closer to her. She almost bumped onto the wall behind her before she stopped him with her hand. "Fine," she said.
"Good choice," Seth winked and wrapped his arms to his chest, waiting for his kiss. "I'm waiting," he said and closed his eyes. Rose looked around before she planted a quick kiss on his cheek. "Happy?" she said and Seth opened his eyes.
He nodded. "Very. Now that I got my inspiration, I'll surely get an A+ in my test," he said. Rose shook her head and grinned. "Good luck, monkey," she wished.
"Thanks, buffalo," he said. "Gotta get going now. Bye," he waved his hand and started to walk backwards. Rose raised a hand as she watched her husband walking away from there. Seth finally turned to his front and heading towards his class in the other side of the building.
She smiled happily and opened her class door. "Miss Humprey!" a voice suddenly called her from behind. She craned her neck to face the voice's owner and a woman - about the age of her mother, blonde-haired and was wearing a grey pantsuit. She was motioning towards her so Rose closed the door back.
"I'm sorry. I should have called you Princess Rose," the woman said apologitecally and Rose could detect her accent - it was British's. Why did a British woman came to her school? She was very curious.
Rose shook her head and smiled. "No, it's alright. I've never get used to the title anyway," she said kindly. Rose beamed on her and waited for her to introduce herself. She didn't look familiar.
"I'm Marie White. From London School of Ballet," she offered her hand at her. Rose's eyes widened and she was surprise. London School of Ballet? Marie White? Holy-shit!
"What? Marie White?" she asked again and shook her hand out of concious. She knew who the woman was. Her ballet trainer told her who Marie White is. She's the one who is incharged for giving scholarship of the ballet school. "Wow. I can't believe I have a chance to meet you. Miss Giselle told me a lot about you,"
"Yes. She's a friend of mine," Marie said to her. "She told me a lot of tales about you too, Rose. A very talented ballet dancer. One of the best students she ever have," she praised and Rose looked down shyly. "I'm not that good," she tried to be humble.
"Well, can I talk to you? I will tell your Maths teacher that you're with me," she said and was still smiling. Rose hesitated before she nodded. "Sure. In the school cafe?" she asked.
"Sounds good," she agreed and Rose lead the way to the cafe. Her mind kept thinking what did she wants from her? Is it a good news or a bad one?

"Dude, you're smiling early in the morning," Alan said and eyed Seth suspiciously. Seth placed his bag on the table and took a seat beside him. "So?" he asked and shook his head. "Alan, why did you always ask me ridiculous question?" he rolled his eyes.
"I was just asking," Alan said. "It's still odd. I'm trying hard to accept the fact that you're married and you love your wife," he wrinkled his nose. "It's so freaking weird,"
"Nothing's weird," Seth said and ruffled Alan's hair. Alan shoved his hand away. "You're the one who is acting weird, Brooke," Seth said. Alan curled his lips and was still eyeing him suspiciously. "I still don't believe you. Are you hiding something from me?" he demanded.
Seth shook his head and ignored him. Luke walked into the classrom with a newspaper in his hand. "I know why he's happy," he said and joined their group. He passed the news to Alan. "It's all over the internet and magazine too,"
Alan opened the newspaper and read the headline:
Prince Seth cleared his mess
"Wow. You and Rose are voted as the couple of the year!" Alan slapped Seth's back. "No wonder you look so happy today. And look at this!" he spreaded the news on the table and pointed to picture. "This is so cute!" he squealed as he observed a picture of Seth kissing Rose. "Never thought you were a romantic guy, man,"
"Let me see that," Seth grabbed the newspaper and read it all by himself. A smile curved on his lips as he looked at his picture kissing Rose. He even planned to goggle it when he's back home as he wants to keep a copy of the picture. He was glad too that his plan worked. Now, the people would know that he really loves her - and Rose knew it too!
"Hey, dude," Luke said in an awkward voice, rubbing the back of his neck. When he was about to speaks, Seth stopped him. "I told you, Van Woodsen. I forgive you and I don't want to hear you say sorry again," he said assuringly. "I'm okay if you wanna flirt with Jessica. It's a little awkward but I'm alright with it. I have Rose now,"
"Seriously? But how'd you know about us?" Luke asked curiously. Seth chuckled. "I could see the way you look at her. It's freaking pervert," he said and Luke laughed. Alan nodded. "I could see it too. You're doing that nasty expression when Jessica is around," he added.
"Ha Ha Ha," Luke joked at him and choked his neck. "Being funny, don't you, Brooke?" he annoyed Alan before he let go of him. Alan laughed before suddenly he frowned. "Seth got Rose. You'll probably going to get Jessy. So, now I'm the single guy here," he sulked. "Sucks being forever alone," he kicked his leg.
"You're a choosy guy, Alan. That's why you're forever alone," Luke said, slapping Alan's face slowly as he was frowning. Seth agreed. "He's right. Hundreds waiting for you, man," he said to coax his friend.
Alan shook his head and sat on the table. "'Yeah. Hundreds of girls is craving for me but I only want this girl," he winked. Seth and Luke exchanged looks as they were taken aback. Luke put his hand on his shoulder. "Dude, who is it? Why you didn't tell us?" he said.
"Yeah, man. How could you keep it from us!" Seth said, slapping his other shoulder. Alan smiled proudly. "I can't tell you guys yet till I gets her," he told them. "She rejected me,"
"What?" they said simultaneously and startled. They've known each other for more than six years and Alan never had been rejected. "You're joking, right? Come one, you're Alan Brooke!" Luke laughed hardly.
"Unfortunately, I'm not. But it's a good thing actually. It's really attractive," Alan said wisely as he remembered the way she rejected him. It made him liked her more. Seth laughed. "Who ever she is, man. Good luck," he wished, patting his back.
"Thanks,"

"This a very rare opportunity, Miss Humprey. This kind of offer only comes once in a life time. Millions of dancer are waiting for this moment," Marie continued her wisdom words and she was done sipping her coffee. Rose ran her hand through her dark brown hair and was thinking hard. "I know," she said. "And I appreciated it a lot,"
Marie took her hand and held it. "You're the most talented ballet dancer that I've ever met. I watched your videos and no one could dance like you do, Rose. Don't ever waste that gift. London Ballet School will shine your star. You'll have a very bright future,"
"It's not that simple, Miss White," she said kindly and took a deep breath. The scent of cinnamon rolls that was serve infront of her wasn't attractive at all. "As you know, I'm married and it's not just a marriage. I'm married to the country's Crown Prince," she explained. 6 months ago, she would probably fainted if this kind of opportunity came to her. Now, she just felt so wrong.
"Yes, I'm aware of that," Marie said, nodding her head. "And like I've said, the condition for you to enter the school is you have to be single. I just hope that you'll make the right decission, Miss Humprey,"
Rose silent herself and she closed her eyes. There's only two things that was bothering her mind - Seth and her childhood dreams. To study in London School of Ballet has always been her ultimate dream. Something that she'd been working hard these few years. It took a few minutes before she was ready to speaks. "I need some time to think," she made her decission. "I'm really not sure now,"
"I understand," Marie smiled. "But I could only give you one week to think,"
"That's just fine," Rose agreed and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Thanks for your understanding. I really appreciated it,"
Marie grinned and she stood up to her feet. "I need to get going. It was nice to finally meet you, Princess Rose," she said adoringly. Rose stood up and nodded. "Me too. Thanks again," she said and stretched her hand.
She shook her hand. "Sometimes you need to let go so you can make room for something better," Marie quoted and caught her eyes. "Decide wisely and follow your heart,"
"I will," Rose smiled weakly. Marie then made her her way from there, leaving Rose in the cafe alone. How is she going to tell Seth about this? Will he be dissappointed?
