The deep dark ocean
(A/N Too lazy to find pics today, that's what I was listening to while writing this)
A fire burned on the beach, teens huddled around it, roasting sausages, laughing, wrapped in blankets, trying to hide from the cold ocean breeze, joking around, teasing, a perfect summer night at the beach. A perfect night to mess around too, they all decide to play Truth or Dare, a typical game, dares were generic, sexual at times, childish at others. ¨Okay, Marxie, truth or dare?¨ One boy laughed to his friend, she flipped her hair and looked smug. ¨Dare of course.¨ He thought for a moment. ¨I dare you too...hmm...walk till you can see or hear us, then try to walk back!¨ The group went quiet. ¨Daniel! That's dangerous! She could die! Don't do it Marxie!¨ One friend worriedly said, grabbing Marxie's arm. ¨It'll be fine! What's the worst that could happen?¨ Marxie nervously laughed and said. She stood up and put on a sweater, hoping to protect herself from the cold ocean air, she turned and started walking in a random direction she thought was away from the ocean, as she looked over her shoulder the calls of ¨Good luck!¨ and ¨Be safe!¨ became dimmer as did the fire light. She found herself regretting more and more her choice of shorts and sandals over her bathing suit, and her sweater just wasn't cutting it to warm her up. She turned and looked over her shoulder again, no fire light, she looked up, no moon either, just the stars for light. She shivered and started walking back, trying to retrace her steps. Suddenly she stepped in the ocean waters, ¨Shit!¨ she backed up and turned her back to the ocean, she couldn't tell whether it was behind her or in front of her, what side was it at? Was she heading towards or away from the group? She ran in what she thought was the right way, in reality, she ran right to a rogue wave. Her friends didn't hear her scream, they stayed up waiting for her all night. She never came home alive, the coast guard found her body in the ocean.
(Wow! So I decided to go realistic this time, instead of doing my usual ghosts or demons that haunt my mind, let this serve as a reminder DON'T LEAVE THE GROUP AT NIGHT IF YOU ARE AT THE OCEAN WITHOUT A FLASHLIGHT!!! And also NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON THE OCEAN!!!!! Stay safe Y'all)
