~A Week and a Half Later~
Andi tapped her fingers against her desk impatiently as she watched the clock. Two minutes until the bell rang, then she had to run home where she was meeting Melissa and switch clothes with her before Melissa's bus left for the airport.
Thankfully, Peter was going to grab Andi's stuff out of her locker and bring it home since Andi didn't have much time. The bus was leaving at 3:45 and school ended at 3:30. That gave her fifteen minutes to get from school to her house, then change and get to Melissa's hotel.
"Andi!" Peter smacked her in the arm, snapping Andi out of her thoughts. "The bell!"
"Shit" She grabbed her bag and ran out of the classroom. She now had thirteen minutes to do everything since she hadn't heard the bell.
She ran all the way home where Melissa was waiting for her outside. She quickly unlocked the doors and they ran upstairs to change.
"What's the time?" Andi asked, throwing Melissa her Nirvana shirt.
Melissa checked the time on her phone. "Shit it's 3:38" She handed over her tank top and sweater.
They finished changing and ran downstairs. Melissa was now wearing Andi's Nirvana shirt, black flannel, black jean shorts and black converse and Andi was wearing Melissa's white tank top, light blue Disney sweater, light blue jean shorts, and white converse.
"All of my stuff is already packed and in the bus so you don't have to worry about that." Melissa said as they ran.
They got to the hotel just as the teachers were loading the students on the bus. "You got everything you need?" Andi asked.
"Yep." Melissa nodded. "Text me when you land"
"I will" Andi gave her a hug and turned to go over to the bus but stopped when she noticed Peter standing a few feet away. "What the hell are you doing here Parker?"
"Do you really think you're getting on that bus without saying goodbye to me?" He asked, pulling her into a hug.
Andi hugged him back. "We said our goodbyes earlier, and it's not like you're never going to see me again"
"I know but this is going to be the longest that we've ever been apart…"
Hugging him tighter, Andi buried her face into the crook of his neck as tears started to run down her face. She didn't realize how hard leaving Peter would be for her. They've never been apart for more than a few days at a time since they were four… "I'm going to miss you Parker"
Peter kissed the side of her head. "I'm going to miss you too Stark"
"I really hate to interrupt but the bus is going to leave soon and my name is about to be called for role call," Melissa said.
Nodding, Andi pulled away and wiped the tears from her face. "Right. I got to go. I'll text you guys when I land."
She gave them both one more hug and then joined the other kids at the bus just as Melissa's name was called.
Peter and Melissa watched from a distance as she got onto the bus, and then as the bus drove away. Once the bus was out of sight, the two of them walked back to Stark Mansion.
"You okay Peter?" Melissa asked, looking over at him.
He nodded, wiping the tears from his face. "Yeah, yeah I'm fine. It's just hard, we've rarely ever been apart"
"I understand. That's how I felt about leaving my mother…" Melissa looked down and kicked a few pebbles.
"Don't worry. If this works out then your whole family will be back together soon"
Sighing heavily, Melissa nodded. "Hopefully…"

Hours later, the plane landed and Andi looked out the window nervously. She was going to meet her mother for the first time… Granted, it would be as Melissa and not Andi, but still.
She looked around for her mother as she got off the plane. Melissa said that she would be waiting close by.
"Liss!"
Andi turned and saw her mother walking towards her. Her eyes widened as she watched her mother make her way over to her. She was even more beautiful in person…
"You are never leaving my side again. I missed you too much!" Pepper said, pulling Andi into a hug. "How was your trip! I want to hear all about it"
Andi hugged her back as tight as she could. "It was great…" Andi never wanted to let go, but she knew she had to otherwise her mother would know something was up.
Pepper pulled away, putting her hands on Andi's shoulders. "What did you do to your face?"
"Oh, I uh, I got a nose piercing…" They only realized a few days ago that in order for them to switch, Melissa needed to get a nose piercing and they needed to come up with a reason as to why 'Melissa' aka Andi would have one.
~A Few Days Prior~
Andi, Melissa and Peter were sitting in the kitchen, eating and making sure they covered everything regarding the switch.
"Uh, guys… You're forgetting something" Peter said, looking in between the twins.
They both looked at him confused. Peter tapped the side of his nose and Andi's eyes widened.
"I have a nose piercing…"
Melissa shook her head, eyes also widening. "No no no no no! I am not getting a piercing"
"Why not? You already have your ears pierced, it's basically the same thing"
"No it's not!" Melissa shook her head.
Andi crossed her arms. "Well I can't have a piercing one day and then not have one the next! And Dad would never believe that I listened to him and took it out"
After ten minutes they managed to convince Melissa to allow them to pierce her nose. Andi sent Peter to the store to get the piercing kit because if she went people would wonder why Tony Stark's daughter was buying it, especially since she already has one.
When he got back, Andi sterilized everything, including her hands and Melissa's nose, and she got everything ready while Peter looked up how to pierce a nose.
As Peter gave her step by step instructions, Andi felt nervous. Even if she did this right, Melissa could still end up with an infection.
"Is it going to hurt?" Melissa asked as Andi secured the clamps.
Andi shook her head. "Nope. You'll just feel a pitch." She put the needle in place. "Ready? One… Two… Three!"
Melissa closed her eyes as Andi stuck the needle through. Andi put one of her spare piercings in and took the clamps off.
"Done!"
Opening her eyes, Melissa looked in the mirror. "You were right, that didn't hurt at all."
Smiling, Andi cleaned up while she told Melissa how to take care of it and what not to do. Then the three of them came up with an explanation for Andi to give to their mother.
~Present Day~
"Why did you get a piercing? That is so unlike you…"
Andi shrugged. "I don't know. I met a girl there and she had one and I thought it looked cute, I wanted to rebel a bit. You know how I've been wanting to get out of my comfort zone. Do you not like it?"
Sighing, Pepper put her arm around Andi as the two of them made their way out of the airport. "It's cute, but I really wish you would have called me first…"
"I'm sorry mom…" Andi felt her heart speed up when she said that. She was finally able to say mom without her father telling her not to.
"Anyways-" Pepper smiled, rubbing Andi's shoulder. "I want to hear all about your trip!"
Andi told her about Melissa's trip exactly how Melissa told her to. They basically scripted this whole conversation so that Andi knew exactly what to say.
On the way home, they stopped at Dunkin to get iced coffees and donuts, even though it was around nine, and Pepper told Andi about what was going on with her while she was away.
"I was thinking about bringing my friend John over for you to meet. How do you feel about that?" She said, glancing over at Andi.
Andi's eyes widened.
'Mom said that she wouldn't bring anyone she was dating around me unless they were serious' She remembered Melissa saying.
"Liss?"
Andi snapped out of her thoughts. "Oh, uh. Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean, I don't want anything to ruin what we have" She took out her phone and texted Melissa.
'SOS. CODE RED. TEXT ME ASAP'
Pepper smiled. "Nothing is going to ruin what we have. I promise" She looked down at Andi's phone. "Is that a new case?"
Andi looked at her phone case and her eyes widened. She and Melissa had forgotten to switch the cases "Uh, yeah. I thought it was cute" It was black with white clouds on it that Peter had gotten her for her last birthday, while Melissa's was white with sunflowers on it. They had the same kind of phones and had meant to switch the cases but they'd forgotten after rushing to make sure Andi didn't miss the bus.
"It's cute, I like it," Pepper said, smiling.
Andi smiled back and kept spamming Melissa with texts, hoping that she'd text her soon.
