"Let's go inside now so I can ask your grandma where I'll be sleeping." Dwayne smiles as we walk to the front door and open it.

"Are you two together now?!" My grandma shouts causing me to jump and look at her wide eyed.

"Wh-What makes you think that?" I stutter nervously.

"You're holding hands Krystal. I may be old but I'm not stupid!" She snaps at me as she points to our hands.

"We are ma'am. I just asked her to be my girlfriend and she said yes." Dwayne says bravely as he stands there in front of the door.

"At least you're man enough and honest enough to admit it to my face." She says in a rather proud tone. "That gives me reassurance I made a good choice and at least now if you guys are together I know you really will protect us." She smiles.

"So this is ok with you?" I ask with complete shock.

"Yes. But don't think this means you guys can get close. If I find you pregnant Krystal both your asses are in trouble!" She shouts loudly causing me to flinch, Dwayne just squeezes my hand which makes me look up at him. He gives me a small smile and winks at me then looks at my grandma.

"You have my word I won't get her pregnant. I have to much respect for her to do that before we are married." He says in a firm and reassuring tone.

"I hope you are being honest about that." She says while looking at him very seriously. After a few seconds she sits back and gives us a small smile. "You can keep that big backpack of yours in Krystal's room so the living room won't be cluttered but you will be sleeping in the living room on the couch."

"That sounds fine to me ma'am. It's better than sleeping on the sidewalk that's for sure." He replies with a small chuckle. "Can I put my stuff in there now?" She nods her head yes so we squeeze past her and he grabs his backpack. "Lead the way." He smiles.

"I never thought I'd be taking a guy to my room." I giggle as I lead him to my room.

"I won't do anything to you without your permission." Dwayne says reassuringly as I open my room door. "I was honest when I said I have to much respect for you to do that. Mike told me you want to wait until you're married and to be honest that sounds amazing. I can imagine us making love on our wedding night, it'll be a night you'll remember forever." He says in a soft tone as he gently touches my face with his hand and looks deep into my eyes.

"Just hearing you talk like that makes it sound amazing." I reply softly as I look into his eyes as well.

"We should get back to the living room before your grandma has a fit." He says with amusement as he watches me come back to reality.

"Yeah we should." I say with embarrassment and move away from him.

He reaches for my hand and holds it as we head back into the living room and sit on the couch. We sit there and talk for a long time before my grandma asks what we want for dinner.

"I get to pick?" Dwayne asks with shock as she hands him the menu.

"Yes, pick whatever you want." She says with a smile because his face holds complete shock.

He looks over the menu and tells her what he wants then hands it back to her before coming to sit back on the couch with me. "I never got to pick what I want before. I always just took whatever I can." He says in a surprised tone still as he sits beside me and puts his arm across my shoulders. I stiffen slightly and blush which made him look at me worriedly. "You ok?"

"Yeah. I'm just not used to someone being so close. It's all new to me." I tell him with embarrassment.

"I won't hurt you so you can relax. If I do something you don't like just say so." He reassures me.

"What's he doing to you?!" My grandma yells from practically beside us causing us to jump.

"He just has his arm around me. See?" I groan and point to his arm that's on my shoulders.

"That better be all he's doing." She says harshly and goes to sit back down.

I sigh and end up relaxing more and more and love the feeling of him being so close to me. I feel safe and protected and completely at ease with him which amazes me because I've never felt so relaxed in my life.

"Foods here!" My grandma shouts which made us both jump in surprise.

We sit up and look at each other and end up blushing. "I was comfortable like that." Dwayne whispers to me as we stand up.

"Me too." I admit shyly as we walk to get our food.

Once we have our food we sit back on the couch and eat as we watch tv. Once we are done we went back to cuddling on the couch with his arm around me. I enjoyed the feeling of being in his arms so much that I didn't want to move.

"Krystal!" My grandma yells which made me jump and Dwayne hold me tightly and protectively. "No getting that cozy with him this soon! It'll lead to other things and remember what I said about getting pregnant!"

"He was just holding me grandma." I reply as I lift my head from his chest and realize I was cuddled up and asleep with his arm around me while still sitting on the couch.

"It can still lead to other things. If you're sleepy then go to bed." She says firmly before heading back to her spot.

"We should get to bed. I need to get my sleeping clothes." Dwayne says as we stand up.

"Get them and come back then. Remember you sleep in here and need to be on call whenever I need you."

"Yes ma'am." He He replies seriously but looks annoyed as he follows me to my room. "I'd love to sleep with you in my arms every night." He whispers when we get to my room. "I've never been so relaxed and comfortable." He says in a blissful tone as he grabs his clothes.

"Same here." I smile as I get my pajamas as well. "I'd love to sleep like that every night." I whisper and blush which made him smile.

"I heard that." He teases with a smile. "Mike told me about...what you wore that one night." He says nervously. "One day is like to see it." He blushes which made me blush.

"One day." I whisper my reply, he nods his head and goes to leave but turns around and comes to me, he wraps his arms around me and kisses me passionately for a moment before letting go and smiling at me. "Good night."

"Good night and don't worry, I'll protect you guys with my life." He says with a reassuring smile as he leaves my room.

I smile happily and close my door and change my clothes then go to bed. I wished I could be in his arms again as I slept but the memory is enough for now. I lay there and let my mind remember how I felt being with him and how relaxed I was which helped me fall asleep in no time.

The next day I wake up feeling rather happy which is new for me. I use the bathroom then head into the living room and see Dwayne passed out on the couch. I smile as I look at him sleeping peacefully. He looks so relaxed and comfortable and I can imagine he hasn't slept so good in years. I decide to leave him alone and just head back into my room and get dressed for school since it's Monday now.

Once I'm ready for school I exit my room and see him still sleeping. I want to kiss him goodbye but I don't want to wake him up so I decide against it. I leave the house and walk to school with a smile on my face for once. I reach the area where those girls live and see Mike walking up the street, I freeze solid and start to panic. He sees me and scowls which made me even more nervous the closer he get.

"Krystal." He says in a rude and harsh tone as he stands beside me. "If I find out he's had you in any way I haven't...you both will have hell to pay." He growls menacingly and keeps walking.

I'm shaking like leaf now and don't know what to do. I'm scared but I can't go back home. I stand there and take deep breaths and continue to school, I'll tell Dwayne about it all after school. Hopefully he can do something about Mike without causing trouble.

After school I start my normal walk home and see Heidi, she doesn't know I have a new boyfriend so I decide to stop and tell her about it. I walk up to her house with a big smile which made her smile at me and look at me excitedly.

"What made you so happy?" Heidi asks happily.

"I got a new boyfriend." I tell her happily and blush which made her squeal and hug me tightly.

"Who is it? What's his name? What does he look like? How old is he? Where is he? I must meet him!" She shouts so quickly I end up laughing at her which annoyed her greatly.

"Calm down!" I shout while laughing still. "His name is Dwayne, he's a friend of Mike's, he's at my house because he lives there now, he's 18, and he's tall and lean with blonde hair and the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen." I explain and smile like a idiot which made her giggle at me.

"Wait he lives with you?" She asks in shock once she processed what I said.

"Yes. Mike brought him over Saturday and he came back Sunday and that's when my grandma asked if he'd be willing to work for her to earn his keep there and he agreed. He asked me to be his girlfriend that day as well." I explain as she smiles.

"So you get to be with him all the time."

"Almost. He sleeps in the living room and has to be on call with my grandma. If she says jump he has to jump at any given moment."

"Wow...and he agreed to that?" She asks in a surprised tone.

"Yeah. He wants to protect me from Mike because he knows what he's been doing."

"Well at least you don't have to worry about mike anymore." Heidi smiles but it fades when she sees I'm shaking my head no. "No?"

"No. Mike warned me this morning that if he finds out me and Dwayne did anything me and him didn't that we would have hell to pay." I tell her with fear in my voice.

"So now he's threatening you guys." She groans and shakes her head.

"Yeah and I need to tell Dwayne about that. I'll see you tomorrow." I wave goodbye to her and head home quickly. I manage to make it home without any issues and to my surprise Dwayne was outside waiting for me. "Hey!" I greet him happily as I rush the gate.

"Hey you came home early." He says happily as I open the gate then rush him and hug him tightly making him laugh. "Your grandma said you usually hang out with your friend or go to the library."

"I usually do but I need to talk to you." I whisper.

"Mike?" He asks seriously, I nod and he clenches his fist tightly. "I knew he'd give us issues."

"He said if he finds out that me and you did anything that me and him didn't do that we'd have hell to pay."

"You guys didn't do anything from what I know."

"We willingly kissed once. Everything else he forced me to do." I explain only to see Dwayne get extremely pissed.

"He forced you to do things?" Dwayne asks through clenched teeth as he tightens his fists even more.

"He held me on his lap and grabbed my breasts one day even though I fought to get free and another day he kept me pinned to the wall while he kissed me."

"That bastard said you willingly did all that and more!" He whisper yells as he looks at me angrily.

"I-I didn't. I swear." I stutter and back away because he's scaring me, he sees this and calms himself almost instantly.

"I'm not mad at you Krystal." He says calmly and opens his arms for me, I willingly rush him and hug him tightly as he wraps his arms around me and gently rubs my hair. "I'm mad at him for lying to me especially about you. He told me you guys did so much." He says in a soft voice and kisses my hair. "We should go inside before your grandma starts thinking wrongly of me."

"Yeah." I sigh as I move away from him, he leans over and gently kisses me before taking my hand and walking with me to the front door.
